So, is anyone at least a little excited about the upcoming Nintendo DS game, Final Fantasy: The 4 Heroes of Light? I sure am :D Overall, I think the game looks well-done and all, but it looks a bit too cartoon-y and simple for me, but I know I'm still getting it XD; Anyway, I guess we'll just have to wait and see... It IS a FF game, after all!

Here's what the e-mail I got from Square Enix said:FINAL FANTASY: THE 4 HEROES OF LIGHT is a beautifully rendered original adventure brought to you by the acclaimed creators of FINAL FANTASY on Nintendo DS. Master all-new combat and game systems and immerse yourself in a charming storybook setting as you take on the roles of Brandt, Jusqua, Yunita, and Aire. Though at first they don't always see eye to eye, these four Heroes of Light will embark on a journey full of joyous meetings and sad partings that will build bonds of trust and affection so strong that, in the end, they may even save the world.

Here's the story, taken from the official English website (http://www.ff4heroes.com/).
PrologueIn the small kingdom of Horne, Brandt awakes on the morning of his fourteenth birthday. Today is the day he becomes an adult, and the custom of the realm says that he must go to the castle to present himself to the king.

Yet when he arrives at the castle he finds the king distraught and the youngest princess missing, abducted by the Witch of the North. With no one else to turn to, the king makes a shocking request: will Brandt save the princess?

And thus Brandt’s adventure begins...

Eventually he is joined by three other brave young souls. Together they will experience a journey full of joyous meetings and sad partings.

Though at first they don’t always see eye-to-eye, these four Heroes of Light will build bonds of trust and affection so strong that, in the end, they may even save the world.

This is the tale of their legendary quest.

Story seems nothing special, but I might give it shot. With all the various battle systems for RPGs nowadays, I'll definitely enjoy the classic turn-based system. :D FFV is my favorite FF so I'll gladly welcome the job system as well.

I am getting bored of all these FF games now.
They are dragging out and I am not looking forward to them. =[

$10 says this guy is going the manliest guy in the game... also the most badass. Though it sorta reminds me a bit of FF4, but I hope the game will be good.

The plot sounds a little boring and generic, but I'll definitely give this a go when it comes out! =] Right after I've finished FFVII, FF: Dissidia and FF: Crisis Core and...uh...oh. >.>

When I saw the title I immediately though of Final Fantasy III. xD;;

Anyway! The characters look adorable! I didn't look twice at the plot, but knowing that the game's Final Fantasy it'll probably be tied well enough together to not be over generic. For the DS, too? I'll most likely get it.

I just took another look at the images, and finally we get to see the characters change as we equip armour and weapons! ;3 It has been implemented in Crystal Chronicles and the such, but the graphics weren't clear enough to really make anything out.
