View Full Version : Most memorable character in the Castlevania series? (minor spoilers)

Who do you think is the most memorable character in the series? The one you think of when you hear the word "Castlevania"? Also, which one do you think is the most recognizable, as in if people see them they automatically know what they're from? For me, I'd have to say it's one of these 5 (besides the obvious choice, Dracula).

Richter Belmont, because the rarity of Akumajo Dracula X: Rondo of Blood has elevated the game to almost legendary status,

Dracula's dhampir son Alucard, because Symphony of the Night is regarded by many as the best game of the series,

Simon Belmont, because he was in the very first game that started the series, although technically...

...it was Leon Belmont who started his family's war on vampires,

or Soma Cruz, because he's the reincarnation of Dracula himself!

Feel free list your own choices and discuss why you think they're the most memorable or well-recognized character in the series.

For me I always think of either Simon Belmont or Alucard.
Both of them are pretty memorable.

Definitely Richter. I have Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles.
