Okay guys, I've seen quite a bit of it. It's rare, but I feel I need to point it out and explain it a little.

There are times when double-posting is permitted. You don't need to tell people off for double-posting for these issues, as they are allowed to, and have the rights to:

Reached the attachment limit for posts (5). If someone has 2 posts in a row, with attachments in them, and the first post is filled with 5 attachments, while the continuing posts have more, that is NOT double posting.
Story writing. Though this doesn't apply to chain stories, it is permitted.
Reached the characters-per-post limit. A relatively large post is reaching its maximum. Therefore, the user is permitted to make another post that contains the rest.
So then, on to Community stuff!

Sorry if this is stupid, but is double-posting allowed in 'Fun Time in Pokeland'?

No falcon, because the double posting rule also protects the bandwidth of pokecommunity -it's not just about people's posts

I don't think it matters, considering none of your posts there affect your post count. =/

Edit: Or you could put it that way... @ Claire

It is also ok in the Art forum. When you post a pic and maybe a day or so later you get another one done and post that one.

Bandwidth wouldn’t really be an issue, but yeah. ^^ It breaks the flow of the game/conversation you’re participating in, that’s why I’ve always understood it’s banned.
Also, I guess this would be a good time to bring up, when someone double posts/breaks a rule Don’t go off-topic informing them it’s against the rules, just report the post without posting about it, and leave it to the mods.

An exception might be if they do an off-topic, but well intended post about, say, where to find Trainer Cards, you could point them in the right direction and then get back on the topic. But for the most part, let the mods do it.

Also sweeties, don't double post when your messages are about 6 letters long, and the rest is 25 limit bypass. XD
