Say I breed a male Tyranitar with the following moveset:
Earthquake
Dragon Dance <-
Rock Slide
Rest
and i breed it with a ditto. will the offspring have Dragon Dance in it's moveset since it was known by the Tyranitar, or, will I be forced to rebreed it along a chain from horsea to charmander to tyranitar again like i did the first time?

-Rock Slide
-Earthquake
-Dragon Dance
-Rest
The same moves as it's father, in this case.

so egg moves are passed on via parent if it's the same pokemon, gotcha.

Only if it's male.
At least I think it would work, if its a male tyranitar... I have bred Mach Puch down from Hitmonchan to Tyrouge with ditto, so I think it will work.

As long as the lowest evolution or baby form can learn the move, any move can be passed on via breeding - that includes TMs and Move Tutor moves. So in this case, yes the baby Larvitar will still know Dragon Dance.
