i thought i had my set all planed out and now ive just found out that i have just wasted 2-3 days of work trying to get a duskull with CM thinking that he could naturally learn rest for some reason...i have just found out that he can only get it through use of a TM or breeding chain.

now i have the TM but dont REALLY want to use it on him just in case i need it for someone else.

SO...how would i get REST on my dusclops ALONG with Calm Mind by using pokemon ONLY AVAILABLE in RUBY ONLY?

any help would be great with this as its starting to really tick me off as i got a duskull with 31 IV in Def and Spc Def...oh well it happens i suppose.

Not too bad, this one. I thought it would be harder, since only a few Pokemon learn Rest naturally.

Only way in and out of the Amorphous egg group is through Castform:

Jigglypuff -> Castform -> Duskull

and can i get calm mind onjigglypuff and then pass it onto castform? cos i dont want to have to give up calm mind as thats were most of the stratergy im wanting to use my duskull/clops for...

if they can then thanks...seems like i gotta find myself a jigglypuff..train it then let the breeding begin :)

thanks again mate your always so helpful with this stuff.

you tryed looking around route 115?

EDIT:

ok to make this easyer for myself and possibly to everyone else.

toothache if you can please help with is one then:

what is the TOTAL chain to get this set on my Dusclops:

Rest
Calm Mind
Ice Beam
Will-O-Wisp

is it possible to get it in the actual game at all, via breeding, or is it only a netbattle set (i REALLY dont want to use up my TM's on this guy at all)

thanks again mate for this

It only has one attacking move, and it's screwed against Walrein big time =/

thats when you switch out to your pokemon that can take him out....after you burn him.

after all he is only ment to be a tank not a sweeper so 1 atack move and 1 indirect attack move is good enough for me

Ok, let's see. Ice Beam you can get multiples of from the Game Corner, so I'll leave that out for now. Duskull gains Will-O-Wisp by level, so that just leaves two moves to get across - Calm Mind and Rest. Since Castform can't learn Rest, we'll have to go to Ralts to get Calm Mind...

Jigglypuff -> Rest -> Castform -> Rest -> Ralts -> Rest, Calm Mind -> Duskull

If it's for switching out, would you still recommend Calm Mind?

well that all depends...if you have maxed out calm mind (6 times used) then you really have nothing to worry about with walrin as you could still take the hits and then hit him with a powered up ice beam whilst the burn eats away at his health and lowers his attack score, for what its worth.

ok Toothache ur a lifesaver mate! thanks alot. ive just finished EV training my Dusclops with Calm Mind now and just leveling him up so that i can take on the E4 sooner but after that im going to do that chain, its greatly appreciated.

But it's only the E4 XD

Haze > Calm Mind, incidentally. Weezing is a greater threat to this version of Dusclops (well, any hazer/pseudohazer really)
