alright, after learning about IVs, EVs, proper movesets for battling (the list goes on), i've decided to try and narrow down what i want my group of six to be. what i have so far (however i am considering changes) follows:

Scizor (Male/Impish [+Defense -Sp. Attack])
(EVs: Attack/Speed)

Agility
Baton Pass
Silver Wind
Steel Wing
---
Snorlax (Male/Sassy [+Sp. Defense -Speed])
(EVs: Attack/Sp. Defense)

Rest
Substitute
Focus Punch
Ghost Ball
---
Dragonite (Male/Timid [+Speed -Attack])
(EVs: Sp. Attack/Speed)

Agility
Haze
Ice Beam
Thunderbolt
---
Blaziken (Male/Mild [+Sp. Attack -Defense])
(EVs: Attack/Sp. Attack) [this sounds nuts but you'll see why]

Swords Dance
Overheat (debating using Fire Blast...)
Sky Uppercut
Earthquake/Aerial Ace (haven't decided which to stick with yet)

now so far, basically what i've been doing, is using scizor to baton pass speed over to Blaziken, Blaziken then does Swords Dance, and he pretty much one hit ko's everything. that's why i don't need EVs in speed. now i'm also debating using these:

Steelix
Metagross
MewTwo (my physical attacker, not the special attacker people expect)
Absol (baton pass is just godly, plus dark pokemon are hot, and i love Pressure)
Salamance

now if i use absol, i could baton pass from absol to scizor to any other of my pokemon, and pretty much sweep everything (this all depends on if absol can survive.)
steelix would be an insane tank, and i'd love to have him in, so that's why he's an option.

salamance is superior to dragonite i've been told, any truth in this...?

my physical mewtwo (swords dance/brick break/earthquake/shadow ball) would be unexpected and tough. but i'm unsure if i want to use a legendary now since people all talk so much crap about legend users.

lastly, metagross just seems to be a sweet type combination, and his looks (which is what i usually base my pokemon on) are superior.

i could use some help here, if you can think of anything, other pokemon, other moves, etc, opinions are appreciated and welcome.

Problem I see with this team is that it's too reliant on Baton Pass, especially for the Blaziken. If you don't have the time to set up Agility from Scizor, Blaziken is screwed so easily as it lacks the speed to sweep. If Scizor is taken out, you lose half of the effectiveness of the rest of the team. This is a problem with attempting to mixed sweep with Blaziken. Better thing to do is focus on physical moves with Blaziken, because his choice of special moves are non-existant, and at least you have a decent variety of moves to play with.

Blaziken@Salac Berry/White Herb
EV: 252 Speed, 252 Att, 6 Sp Att
Nature: + Att, - Def
Brick Break/Sky Uppercut/Earthquake/HP Ghost
Earthquake/Rock Slide/HP Ghost/Endure/Substitute/Swords Dance
Rock Slide/HP Ghost/Reversal
Overheat/Flamethrower

Slot one is your choice of Fighting moves, for STAB purposes. If you're going the Endure/Reversal route, replace this with Earthquake or HP Ghost

Slot two gives you an all-purpose attack, or you can use a HP-lowering technique to activate Salac Berry for Reversal, or use Swords Dance for increased sweeping ability.

Slot three for another physical attack, or Reversal for the berry abuse.

Slot four is your choice of Overheat or... well Overheat really. Abuse the high Sp Attack and the STABbed Overheat for some major damage, or choose Flamethrower if you just want a Fire attack somewhere on your team.

why wouldn't i have time to setup agility via scizor.

if i use him first, and use agility right away, i don't think i'm going to get OHKO's instantly, at least i hope i'm not. and yes, i agree, with the baton pass from scizor being a key for my blaziken, i have no problem with it requiring it, scizor isn't really all that powerful anyway.

also, you have to understand i can't just decide which hidden power move to use, this is on my gameboy not netbattle.

scizor + ANY fire attack at equal level = rosted scizor and a ruined team IF you rely on him to BP to anyone.

having 2 BP's on the team would be wasting a slot for sweeping (att or Spc Att), tanking, annoying or any other type. i have to say that the group looks pretty good and i would go for metagross for the last as he is an EXCELENT tank and physical sweeper.

just my 2 cents though.
