ok this is mainly directed to Toothache but anyone who can answer please do.
im trying to get the following movesets for 2 of my Salamences and i want to breed the moves onto them as im saving my TM's for pokemon that cant breed for moves (AKA metagross and a few others).
here they are:
Salamence A:
- Fire Blast
- Hydro Pump
- Crunch (learns naturally)
- Dragon Claw (learns naturally)
Salamence B:
- Dragon Dance
- Earthquake
- Aerial Ace
- Brick Break
i only currently have access to Ruby pokemon only so please make the trees valid for RUBY ONLY. also if these cannot be achieved this way how close can they both be.
thanks in advance all its greatly appreciated as always

Salamence A - would be a lot easier just to buy the Fire Blast TM, since there's no chain that covers both Fire Blast and Hydro Pump. As for Hydro Pump, you'll have to breed with Gyarados.
Salamence B - ah, a fun one. I've been trying various ways and I can't manage to get all four moves here. Your best bet is to TM Brick Break, since if you get access to FR/LG, you can get multiple TMs of Brick Break. As for the other 3 moves:
Taillow -> Aerial Ace -> Altaria -> Dragon Dance -> Bagon
Earthquake is a right pain to chain breed, since only fully evolved Pokemon are able to learn it if they are not Ground types. I'll give you the breeding chain for Aerial Ace and Dragon Dance, unfortunately you'll have to TM the rest of the moves.

Don't you have Pokémon Colosseum?

Problem is getting more than one move (as always), and that's where the real fun begins. If you start with Aerial Ace, you can't get Brick Break, and if you start with Brick Break, you can't get Aerial Ace (and it's harder since only Pinsir and Heracross learn Brick Break naturally, and getting moves out of the Bug egg group is often a pain). Even with Colosseum Pokemon, you are out of luck.

I meant transfering Ruby Pokémon to Colosseum, and starting Ruby over again.
I just realised I made no sense...

ok then with you saying this toothache:
Salamence B - ah, a fun one. I've been trying various ways and I can't manage to get all four moves here. Your best bet is to TM Brick Break, since if you get access to FR/LG, you can get multiple TMs of Brick Break. As for the other 3 moves:
Taillow -> Aerial Ace -> Altaria -> Dragon Dance -> Bagon
ok so if i cant get Earthquake then what would be the suggested final physical move for my Salamence?
Salamence B
- Aerial Ace
- Dragon Dance
- Brick Break
- ???
i would prefer a bred move to a TM move but a buyable TM would be great also. im just stumped at this point in time for it
again thanks HEAPS to you Toothache your really helping me out with this aspect of the game (which i think is the best part of the game BTW)
cheers in advance guys

Rock Slide is a good alternative for Earthquake, and you can breed that across by passing Aerial Ace and Dragon Dance over to Larvitar, and breeding back.
Taillow -> Swablu -> Charmander -> Larvitar -> Charmander -> Salamence
Pick up Aerial Ace from Taillow, Dragon Dance from Swablu, and Larvitar can give you Rock Slide.

Sorry, Charmander is the only route for all 3 moves.

You could always make Fire Blast the remaining move on the physical Salamence. Its special attack, even when discouraged, is still not too bad. And hey, you never know when you'll need it *coughskarmorycough*.

Skarmory is the only reason physical Salamence even has Fire Blast, and you can always buy the TM for that. Wonder how many people in GB battles who use Skarm at all (apart from myself)?

mmm....any other way of getting a good physical move onto Salamence (buyable tm or breeding)?
if not then i think ill have to go with fire blast...or maybe double edge? thats a reasonable move i think if you get your attack up with DD...maybe enough to OHKO most that arnt tanks or ghost.
mmm...decisions

if i reach Brick Break onto a male bagon with AA and DD will the offspring of that bagon and a female bagon have all 3 moves or just AA and DD?
thanks in advance

A really easy way to breed (by the way, Toothache, I am amazed you didn't know this)
is to breed with male Seadra. You get both Dragon Dance and Hydro Pump from only one breeding and you have them both when the Bagon hatches. No need to thank me :P

actually having both those moves is a wasted spot for one of them.
hydro pump is for a special sweeper Slalmence and dragon dance is for a physical sweeper. there is no use having both on the same set...thats why it was not pointed out earlier...and if your read the first post i didnt want to have both on the same Salamence hydro pump was for Salamence A setup (the special sweeper) and dragon dance was for Salamence B set up (they physical sweeper)
sorry to point it out for you GVG but your right that you can but wrong in this case.

Didn't really mean to tell you "Get both moves and you're fine" Just that breeding with Seadra saves you the chain breeding proposed earlier. Or at least that's what I thought but never mind.
