I've hatched I believe 9 eggs all male Charmanders. I'd like too know what are the odds of a baby Charmander being female and how many times it would take to breed or how long it would take to get a female. :\

only 25% is the chance of being Female. That's a pretty low chance but you're not very lucky cause you should have at least one female by now. Better luck with the upcoming eggs!

When i traded my red version charizard (my starter) to my gold i realized that it was female all my friends laughed at me (don't ask why...). but now it's me who laughs at them cuz i'm the only pokemon trainer around here to have a female starter :D at my 1st try XD and it's really rare cuz (as GVG said) the odds of your starter being female are low (25%) GOOD LUCK! ;)

in Fr/Lg the odds that your starter is female is 1/8 i believe..or 12.5%. hatch a few more eggs...ull eventually have a female

good luck with the egg hatching

Odds of a female starter has always been 1 in 8, same goes for most of the Pokemon which you can only get one of like Eevee. Charmander is no different.

Do you know who lucky you are, or you just don't know the gender signs.

I keep hatching them and can't seem to get any females, and I've got to do the for Blasty too *sighs at the long breeding road ahead of him*! :\

i started new game on my fr and this time i wanted a female char for i breeding it with my male char. it took ten tries before i got a female. arrgrrre!!

one question.

are you breeding your charizard with ditto? because if you are then i think you going to get mostly males because ditto makes a copy of what ever pkmn you breed it with (i think) so you put in a male with ditto then high chances the egg will hatch to be male

That's irrelevant to what gender the baby is

I've been quite lucky to my male to female starter is 1 out of every 3. Was funny too, because I like the male pokemon, and I kept getting females. (Not Sexist)

Femal is the pink one that points down right? All the kids in my school are juliss because I have a Lv. 70 Charazard. I thout I was unluky to get 10 female charmanders.

Well there's a 12.5 precent of getting a female when you start the game and when one is hatched. That goes for all starters.Sorry. They are really rare.

The chances of actually getting a female is almost impossible unless you use a modding code.

Why do people insist on giving false information? Stop lying Aiko, the chances of a female starter are 1 in 8.

Toothache was saying that you were giving false information Akio, not Onizuka. Oh and I've managed to get a female charmander a couple of times... Because my battery was low... x.x and it kept switching off when I checked the gender of Charmander.

I don't know how you can get jealous over that. My Charizard is level 86. I don't know what you are going to say but i hatched a female charizard on my first try. And Blastoise. I have only just got my Bulbasaur so i hope that is a woman! Mwahahahaha.

Small question, but the 1/8 chance of getting female only goes for the starter Pokemons right?

I like getting female Pokemon. Don't ask why. The Female Pokemon that I always want are: The starters (In all the games that have genders) Eevee (In FR and LG) Lapras (All games with gender Pokemon) and Pokemon that LOOK like their supposed to be Female (Like Espeon and Milotic). I don't get WHY Nintendo made it so hard to get female starters. It should be 50/50.

yeah it's hard. I found a female mudkip once
12.5 % female
87.5 % male
odds are against you.

I started with a female Charmander on Fire Red, but I traded it to Ruby so I could beat the Elite Four...

good reasons to get a female starter:
you can breed a female mudkip and get another mudkip. How else you gonne get one? What if you want a pokemon to know an egg move, but thet pokemon is only gettable as a starter?
They are slightly more rare, which is cool i suppose (i bet they made them rare so starter pokemon are less common, b/c females can reproduce their own species)
Lots of people are under the flase impression that males are stonger, so they get males, and then you can use attract.
Females will get you more in a trade, if you know a breeder that wants your pokemon.

Reasons to get a male:
The male symbol is cooler looking (sorry ladies)
You can breed it with a different species, and maybe the baby will learn one of the moves as an egg move like a milotic with mud slap is so useful.....

I got a female Venusaur, after the 2nd try... (I wasn't happy with the nature of the first one).
I was kinda unhappy with it at first, because I would've wanted to put Toxic on it. Now, I've decided to use Sleep Powder instead ^^

why couldnt you put toxic on a female, but you could on a male?

wanted to save tm06 for a male so you could breed it and have it later on? If so, all you have to do is get a gulpin, because it learns toxic on its own...(thats how i got it on my ralts, when i used the TM on my female milotic)
