I don't remember... It's been a good... 2 or 3 years since I've been to a movie theater... I've seen a few pokemon/anime movies online/on tv since then... but that's it.

Did I mention that I hate movies?

Forrest Gump: I loved it, it had a great story and characters. I could watch it again.

Elite Overlord LeSabre™
November 5th, 2010, 9:40 AM
Inception: It was showing for free at the student union theater so a bunch of my buddies and I went to see it. That movie still has me confused on what is reality and what's a dream, lol

November 6th, 2010, 4:24 AM
Last Movie I watched? I think it was Paranormal Activity 1. My friends and I watched it for Halloween night xD

November 6th, 2010, 9:19 AM
The last film I watched was Legend Of The Gaurdians on Halloween night instead of going to see a horror film. XD; It was a great film. :]

November 6th, 2010, 12:48 PM
The original Clash of the Titans on DVD. Not the new one, but I do want to see it.

November 6th, 2010, 1:37 PM

Year One, I believe... It was funny and awkward.

November 6th, 2010, 5:04 PM
Scarface. Me and my fiance borrowed it from my Dad for a movie night lol. I liked it, even though it was a bit dated music wise.

November 6th, 2010, 5:52 PM
"The Social Network." It's interesting to see how Facebook came into being.

November 6th, 2010, 8:40 PM
Howl's Moving Castle.

Howl is the sex.

I absolutely love this movie.

November 7th, 2010, 7:05 AM
The Social Network. I know it's supposed to be the real story behind the birth of FaceBook, but some scenes were just too extreme and unrealistic to be true. :x Nonetheless, it was a very interesting watch.

Captain Hobo.
November 7th, 2010, 7:48 AM

November 9th, 2010, 11:06 AM
Last movie I watch was probably The last Airbender if I'm not mistaken :b

November 9th, 2010, 11:36 AM
League of Their Own. A movie that's older than half of PC's population.

November 9th, 2010, 11:43 AM
The Fourth Kind :s though totally fabricated no matter how much they try to convince viewers the events in the movie actually took place, i thought it was entertaining enough and it reignited my interest in ufo's etc

November 9th, 2010, 12:39 PM
My Last is.
that movie is just too funny for it own good :3.

The last movie I watched was Paranormal Activities 2. Well, it wasn't too scary, but there was this part when.......

Is the 2 better than the original movie? I found the first to be horror I did not see the second one... Any inputs?

November 10th, 2010, 7:49 AM
It was a french movie called "Tais-Toi", it is kinda old, but it is amazingly funny!

Black Prince
November 10th, 2010, 12:06 PM
Lately, I watched "The Kingdom of Ga'hoole : The Legend of Guardians".
It was really amazing. Even before I watched it, I found it was already original because the characters were owls. And I don't know any other movies where owls are the main characters. The story was cool as well, as all the action scenes. And the way that owls are fighting, it's juste awesome !
I was totally into the movie. x)
And they asked one of my favourite artist to make a song for the movie : To The Sky by Owl City. Ah ah, it's pretty funny when we think about it. There's no doubt that they got him on purpose, according to his stage name.

Well, I'll go watch it once again later. (:

The last movies I've watched over the past days are The Crazies and Dear John.
The Crazies:
Certainly an odd movie, and quite creepy at the same time, the thought of crazy killers in your neighborhood due to a outbreak/virus, if ya know what I mean? Anyways, the acting was fair, and the direction of the movie felt bland but somewhat entertaining at the same time, the amount of deaths in the movie was kind of ridiculous, in all two were left alive, I shouldn't go to far into it as it might spoil some who haven't watched it yet. But I kind of wish some characters could be through out the movie and stay alive. As for the grade it deserves I'd give it a C+.

Dear John:
I don't know, but the movie itself felt too short and didn't spark much interest, I mean it was easily not the best I've seen through out the year and could easily bore a person, if they don't like siting through movies that happen to explain things to fast and not take time going in more further based on a character them self. Certainly I like Channing Tatum's performance somewhat along with Amanda Seyfried who was mainly the girl who you could actually relate to somewhat. In all I'd give the movie a B+. I do plan on reading the book sometime soon whenever I get the chance to, after all most books turn out better than the movie itself.

November 10th, 2010, 3:43 PM
Jackass in 3D. I had a grand time with just myself during the middle of the week in the middle of the day. Most relaxing time ever to watch a movie.

November 10th, 2010, 4:14 PM
I finish work, go home, eat sum food, then felt like watching pineapple express. It was a very funny movie. Imagine pot was legal everywhere! :)

November 10th, 2010, 5:08 PM
I watched Hannibal last night with my sis.

November 11th, 2010, 10:39 AM
The last movie I watched was One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. It easily has become one of my favorite movies and if I ever catch it on TV I'll make sure to watch it all over again. Jack Nicholson is the main character of the movie in case you're wondering. A much younger Jack Nicholson then today though since it came out in 1975. Danny Devito and Christopher Lloyd are also in it if you're looking for some popular/famous names.

Anyways it centers around a man (Jack Nicholson) who pretends to be insane so he can spend the rest of his prison sentence in an insane asylum instead of a prison. At first he finds the other ward patients to be annoying or uses them to his own humor, but in the end he befriends some of them/helps them. Although the head nurse is always trying to stop him from helping any of the other patients and his attempts at making the ward a more lively place by playing a "rigged game."

November 12th, 2010, 6:01 PM
Paranormal Activity 2, shortly after watching the first one but they're both basically the same film.

How I spent my time watching each:
70% Watching people messing around with cameras, recording the same sort of "I CAN HAZ KAMERA" home movie tripe you see on YouTube.
28% Watching exactly the same thing but in nightvision.
2% Actually being interested in what was happening (The final 10 minutes of each film).

Both are drab and rather predictable. Not so much The Exorcist as Scooby-Doo meets Big Brother.

November 12th, 2010, 6:28 PM
Animal Farm, in my English II honors class. I had to watch three different versions of it :/

November 13th, 2010, 12:23 PM
Probably, Despicable Me.
Funny film, I recommend it to anyone.

November 13th, 2010, 12:51 PM
@Angelito, I think I heard of that. and watched some.
Dont worry I had to watch 3 versions of The taming of the shrew and mcbeth (inclduing the cartoon O_O)

Anyways Last one i watched was "Grown ups", funny I guess since I never was a huge for a comedy. Watch it :P
Arrow Roulette!

November 14th, 2010, 12:28 PM
Watched Due Date, thought it was a very entertaining film, and funny too.

Hopefully will watch Jackass 3D soon or HP7 when its out :):)

Captain Hobo.
November 14th, 2010, 4:21 PM
Karate Kid it was so good I loved it.

November 15th, 2010, 6:19 PM
That's a funny coincidence, the last movie I watched was Scott Pilgrim as well. I wouldn't bother watching it again unless I was drunk though.

November 16th, 2010, 4:13 AM
The last movie I watched?.. Well, uh, It's Elizabeth : The Golden Age, I watched it in 2nd Avenue.

November 19th, 2010, 12:17 AM
The Other Guys... in our student union movie theater, which gets movies after they air in regular theaters but at about the time they are released on DVD.

Funny thing is, my fan fiction also involves white collar crime, gunfights, and car chases... but mine has less crude jokes and more cute girls with Pokemon xD

November 19th, 2010, 12:29 AM
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows Part One. Words can not describe how happy I am currently feeling after watching it =D

November 20th, 2010, 4:00 AM
The other guys, A real good movie if y'ask me, I love the humor.

November 20th, 2010, 1:55 PM
National Treasure, for the....14th time?

November 20th, 2010, 7:01 PM
The last movie I watched was The Only Good Indian. I watched it on the basis that I like westerns, Indians, and movies free off On Demand! :> Overall it ended up being an okay movie. The message of the movie and the added historical reference was good, but the acting could of been a bit better and the plot needed a little bit more to it. For a free movie though it was decent.

Cold Fusion
November 20th, 2010, 8:49 PM
The last movie I watched was Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 at cinema two days ago, and I loved it. Although, Hermione seemed colder to Ron in the film than she did in the book. Only problem for me is they turned up the volume a tad too high and I ended up jumping all the way through it.

Jackass Number Two.

Such a stupid movie... but I love it.

November 21st, 2010, 8:47 AM

Harry Potter 7.
Love it - can't wait for part 2 of 7.

November 21st, 2010, 9:44 AM

November 21st, 2010, 10:50 PM
Harry Potter 7.
Love it - can't wait for part 2 of 7.

The last movie I watched was Hotel Rwanda. It was interesting, but I learned that the film was a "clean version" of what actually happened. If that is true, imagine how terrible that would look. I can't even begin.

The Great Bee Sting
November 22nd, 2010, 3:13 AM
Harry Potter 3 ^^
I watched my older DVDs last night. They are so much cuter when they are little. =D

@Bee Sting- I thought the same thing after seeing the trailer for HPVII.

November 22nd, 2010, 6:56 PM
recently watched Due Date

November 24th, 2010, 9:42 PM
Whip It starring Ellen Paige and Drew Barrymore.
Look, not an amazing film, it was decent, but pretty slow to get into it. Wasn't amazingly made, but it had moments which were fun.

November 24th, 2010, 10:06 PM
If I remember correctly it was ,erm, Never Cry Werewolf or something along those lines. It was simply on Disney and my friend and I spent the whole time making fun of it. ^^

November 24th, 2010, 10:13 PM
How to Train Your Dragon for the second time in both one week and all time. I had finally gotten around to seeing it last week and it was so totally awesome that I rented it again for tonight. Man, I didn't know what I was missing, I love it.

November 26th, 2010, 3:07 AM

Part 2 of the movie, 7.

November 26th, 2010, 5:20 AM

HarryPotter and the philophisors stone ^^
was on tv the other day ;o

November 26th, 2010, 3:53 PM
The Kids Are All Right.

Attractive cast (like, seriously) and on top of that, a touching story of a modern-day family. Best movie I've seen in a while now.

November 26th, 2010, 4:25 PM
I just watched the documentary What Would Jesus Buy? It was pretty much about a man who travels the United States with his followers and preaches to people about the commercialism of Christmas. He ultimately tries to get at the point that Christmas has lost its meaning and commercialism has instead taken over. He tries to instill the ideas of only buying American made products to help prevent slave labor, to only buy what you really need, and to buy from small town stores.

It's actually very comical and has a great message about buying things in general. For instance the movie follows them as they parade around every mega chain store in America while incorporating the phrase, "Stop shopping." into all of their gospel songs. I'd recommend it to anyone who has ever bought anything before.

November 27th, 2010, 2:09 AM
Watched The Hangover again last night, then Old School, which I haven't seen in a long time.

November 27th, 2010, 2:15 AM
Just got back from Due Date. Not my type of humour at all, really did not enjoy it...
Although I can see why other people would like it, just not for me.

November 27th, 2010, 7:06 AM
I want to say that the different types of movies liked by the one person. I like the action movies very much. The movie Spiderman 3 i have seen last time. This is the fantastic movie. If someone see this movie at one time than he will want to see it again.

I like to see different types of movies. I like to watch romantic and action movies. My favourite movie is Titanic. I have seen this movie last time. I have seen it yesterday. The story of this movie is very best. I have seen it 10 times at home and 5 times in theater.

November 27th, 2010, 7:38 AM
I just went to see the new movie Iron Man 2. It's good to see a more positive review of the film, I think it did well as a sequel and handled Tony Stark's revelation that he's Iron Man well. I pointed how some faults as well as some highlights by writing a parody script as a way of reviewing it.

Blue Nocturne
November 27th, 2010, 11:31 AM
Toy Story 3. Got the DVD on... Wednesday or Thursday, and I got around to watching it this morning. It's not as good to watch a second time when you know what's coming. Still brilliant though.

November 27th, 2010, 5:43 PM
Watched Toy Story 1 last night. I hadn't seen it in so long, and I still love it for all the fun memories it brings me of my childhood!

November 27th, 2010, 5:56 PM
I watched zodiac earlier today, it was a decent enough movie I just wish they went more in depth on the killer. Like having scenes in the movie from his point of view. I can understand why they didn't seeing as the movie is based on the true events of the zodiac killer but whatever happened to creative freedom? ]:

I'd give it a solid 8/10.

November 27th, 2010, 11:37 PM
Watched Beauty and the Beast last night after taping it when it was on T.V- better quality than the old VHS tape somewhere in the basement. It's been years since I've seen it and I used to know certain scenes word for word when I'm little. Sorry to say I no longer remember any scene word for word. But yeah... I love that movie, one of my favorite Disney movies.

November 28th, 2010, 2:01 PM

I'd give it a solid 8/10.

If they're going to make a movie based on true events, they can't really go and make bits up. It doesn't work like that I'm afraid. I get where you're coming from though. It would have been nice but since the Zodiac killer, if I'm up to date on my serial killer knowledge, is still yet to be caught and detained, they have nothing they can use about it being from his point of view.

They made bits up for From Hell about Jack the Ripper. I didn't like it. They ruined it. Jack the Ripper was never caught, they only thought they got him.

More on topic:
The last movie I watched was in 2 parts, I watched The Boondock Saints and the proceeded to watch The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day.
(Billy Connolly ftw!)

November 30th, 2010, 4:35 AM
I watched two movies so post both?

The Social Network
Definitely overrated, not a bad film, but I imagined more from all the hype... I guess because there was a surprisingly low amount of humour, (reviews said it is a black comedy, yet barely any comedy I found).
Recommended for anyone who hasn't seen it, and it was an enjoyable film, just didn't meet the expectations I had for it.

Spiderman 3
Because everyone loves a bit of Marvel every now and again! Anyways, same old Spiderman that never fails to entertain. Recommended, in fact, the whole series is recommended for any of you out there who still haven't seen them!

Misheard Whisper
December 1st, 2010, 9:43 PM
The Princess Bride. It's how many years old (about 23, I think?), but it's still one of my favourite movies ever. So many amazing one-liners.

"I'm not left-handed either."

"My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die."

yeaaah, and so on. Not gonna start listing 'em.

December 1st, 2010, 10:32 PM
Due Date - It was a funny movie. Nothing too spectacular.

December 2nd, 2010, 5:11 AM
To be honest, after reading the blurb, I honestly thought this would have more action in it, and that's pretty much the reason I got it. Jet Li is amazing in it, and the film was really good as a whole, but I was expecting more fight scenes which weren't there...

Remember Me:
Really good film, highly enjoyed and recommended. One thing though, don't watch it expecting a romantic comedy. This is a beautiful film, but it is gut wrenching at the end and tissues will probably be needed. Great film, amazingly composed.

December 4th, 2010, 3:54 AM
I last saw Due Date, which I came back recently from seeing. It seems alright, and has a different type of humor than what other people are used to, but it's alright.

tl;dr it's a comedy about a road trip. Also Robert Downey Jr.

December 4th, 2010, 4:08 AM
Paranormal Activity 2 in the movies with some mates

December 4th, 2010, 4:27 AM

I have read most of the famous alien encounter cases. Those are really interesting and if we read it once we will definitely believe there is something.

December 7th, 2010, 3:47 PM
I watched Photographing Fairies. It is good in terms of story but it tried to link fairies to religion which made me not like it.

December 7th, 2010, 4:24 PM
The first Harry Potter movie (the Sorcerer's Stone). It's been a long time since I've seen it and the scene involving Voldemort still creeped me out.

December 13th, 2010, 9:49 PM
Last movie I saw in theatres: Burlesque (go watch it. I recommend it.)
Last movie I saw on DVD: Eat. Pray. Love.

December 18th, 2010, 6:11 PM
I believe it was 9. It wasn't as good as I was expecting (due to no plot), but I thought it was still quite nice. Very Tim Burton-y.

December 19th, 2010, 2:53 PM
The Human Centipede - it was pretty gross but not enough to keep me from watching. I liked it but I wont watch it again. It was more based on the hype of how disgusting it was.

Star Wars Episode 1 The Phantom Menace.

December 24th, 2010, 12:39 PM
Last night I watched The 5,000 Fingers of Dr. T. It has a swishy piano-loving villain and a musical troupe of gay zombies, or at least that's the impression I was left with after finishing. It was written by Dr. Seuss and made in the 50s so that might be enough to explain it. Here's a trailer for it, too (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dgpfMxYFSmE).

After i'm done reading my manga for a bit i'm gonna watch 5 Centimetres Per Second for the 5th time ^^

Yogi Bear. 2 out of 5.

It has some jokes that work, mostly from Boo-Boo and Yogi, but hammered down by so much dull dialogue, poor acting, cliched storylines, and unfunny moments to be a good movie.

December 25th, 2010, 4:45 PM
I watched Salt last with Angelina Jolie.
It was a fairly good movie, lots of action and the plot was nice with twists and turns and everything.
Highly recommended to anyone who likes the action genre, or is looking for a good movie which is fairly recent.

December 27th, 2010, 5:05 PM
I just watched Tangled in theatres and I loved it. =] I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who's interested in a modern twist of the classic Disney princess movie.

December 27th, 2010, 8:04 PM
I watched "A Very Long Engagement". I am trying to watch all the movies which have Audrey Tautou starring in them!

Yogi Bear. 2 out of 5.

It has some jokes that work, mostly from Boo-Boo and Yogi, but hammered down by so much dull dialogue, poor acting, cliched storylines, and unfunny moments to be a good movie.I give it a 1/5. Yogi Bear was so excruciatingly boring that nearly I fell asleep in the theater. Falling asleep while watching a boring movie may not sound unusual, but take into consideration the fact that, unless I am completely worn out, I cannot sleep with even a slither of light reaching my eyes or wave of sound affecting my eardrums. It just doesn't happen. And there I was, on the brink of sleep, but not actually falling asleep only because it was my brothers birthday and I didn't want him to know I thought his tastes in movies were incredibly lame. Yogi Bear was a tremendous let down. Worse movie I've seen this year. Its only saving grace was Boo-Boo, who was so fracking adorable I considered buying a plush of him.

Oh... but Yogi Bear isn't the last movie I saw, haha. The last movie I saw was Tales from the Hood. It's kind of like Tales from the Crypt, but.... yeah. I think the title says what the difference is quite clearly enough. The twist at the end is superb and the theme behind the movie is actually quite moving, despite the gratuitous violence, gore, and strong language. You can watch this movie RIGHT NOW on Movieplex OnDemand. Go ooon. Watch iiiitttt.

January 6th, 2011, 7:56 PM
I watched Meet the Parents' Little Fockers.
It was alright, not as good as the previous movies, but it was decent and I guess as a whole enjoyable for those who've seen the previous parts.

January 8th, 2011, 10:54 AM
Robin Hood. The one with Russell Crowe.

Not as good as I thought it'd be. Not many scenes where I was on the edge of my seat. The plot and acting was nice, but there was something lacking. I don't know what it is.

January 8th, 2011, 11:02 AM
I just watched Little Fockers a couple days ago. Its a very funny movie, Greg's son is so funny.

January 8th, 2011, 4:46 PM
The latest movie I've watched is Flipped. It is a very good love story between two kids in the 60's from 2nd grade to 7th. It was quite enjoyable :D

Kara no Kyoukai 3: Tsuukaku Zanryuu

I'll watch Garan no Dou before I go to bed

January 9th, 2011, 1:35 PM
Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. So good, weird, and creepy.

January 9th, 2011, 3:34 PM
haha I just watched Alice In Wonderland the other day, I really liked it but I don't like how the title got recycled. The movie is more like Through the Looking Glass by far and away, they just kept the original title to gain press or whatever.

But I just watched Megamind the other day.. I really liked it haha especially how Megamind always had a little blush going on.

January 9th, 2011, 5:13 PM
The King's Speech.

I really enjoyed it. And it was far funnier than I thought it was going to be XD

January 10th, 2011, 11:35 AM
Season of the Witch the new Nic Cage/Ron Perlman film. I was dragged into going, and definitely not excited about it, but was pleasantly surprised. Lovely shots, fun b-movie acting, and a lot of intense action. I loved how the story unraveled and was pleasantly surprised by all the cliches the film avoided. Stephen Grahm was good as a scoundrel/theif and the fella that played the Priest was absolutely the stealer of the show. Cage and Perlman and good chemistry and the lead female, the witch, was very attractive. The opening scene was absolutely chilling.

January 12th, 2011, 12:30 AM
Gulliver's Travel the movie which lead role being played by Jack Black. It was very funny, entertaining and worth a penny to watch.

January 12th, 2011, 2:34 PM
Well, technically it was Madagascar...but I've seen that before, and I only watch the bits with the singing/dancing Lemurs :)

I've seen three this year though:

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. One word ruins it: aliens. By inserting aliens into the plotline, they killed it. I did like the bit on the bike though.

Iron Man. This was worth the watch. Absolutely brilliant. I just didn't find anything wrong with it.

Iron Man 2. Again, good. I disliked how they had a different actor for the same character between two films, but it was the guy out of The Italian Job and Ocean's Eleven/Twelve/Thirteen, and he's awesome so I didn't care.

I saw "Four Lions" just before 2011. That was hilarious, and I would recommend it. The fact that the ending was emotional was good too.

And a film I saw in September, "Three Kings" with George Clooney and Mark Wahlberg. Definitely worth a watch. Its funny, tragic and slightly political (although out of date now) at the same time. The ending was almost moving, but the whole film wasn't too serious on the surface.

January 12th, 2011, 4:35 PM
The last movie I saw was technically I, Robot, but everyone's seen that. Before that it was Inception (great movie), and before that, I was watching Mulholland Drive. Absolutely beautiful and amazingly strange ... gotta love the stuff by David Lynch.

Animal Kingdom.

Damn, it's a good movie. Far more interesting than I thought it was going to be, pulled off perfectly. Props to the actress who played the matriarch of the crime family, very believable.

January 12th, 2011, 10:08 PM
I watched Dinner for Schmucks this morning. I had a few sources tell me it was really funny so I went into it hopeful. While it cracked some laughter from me I never had a true laugh during the whole movie so I consider it unsuccessfully funny. I also went into the movie thinking that it would mostly be set at the dinner where random hilarious things would happen, but I was surprised to find that most of the movie seemed to be placed at the main character's apartment or just out on the road.

I think I just expected an entirely different movie and when it turned out to be what it was I was disappointed. If you go into it without a set mind of what it's about then you'll probably like it.

January 12th, 2011, 10:17 PM
A movie on Netflix called 'Elsewhere'. It was horrible.

January 15th, 2011, 7:15 PM
Max Keeble's Big Move.

January 15th, 2011, 7:31 PM
Last movie that I watched, which I hadn't watched before, was "The House by the Cemetery". It's a pretty strange horror/slasher film.

January 16th, 2011, 12:36 PM

January 17th, 2011, 8:51 PM
Tron Legacy; it was a good movie~ Though I didn't exactly like how it ended. It made me want to watch the first Tron.

January 17th, 2011, 10:35 PM

I thought it was an awesome movie.

The Longest Yard

It is a pretty amusing film that I hadn't watched in ages.

January 22nd, 2011, 5:26 PM
The last movie I watched was Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs, but I've seen that quite a few times. Still just as hilarious now as the first time I watched it, though.

Other than that, I watched Iron Man (the first film), and Dragonball: Evolution.

Iron Man is just awesome, but Dragonball...so terrible compared to the anime series. I hate what they did to Goku, Vegeta wasn't included at all...I could go on. The only good part about it was that female assassin working for Piccolo. She was hot.

January 22nd, 2011, 5:39 PM
The Green Hornet

Seth Rogen are Jay Chou are quite the duo. Its got the action and comedy in one. And the always good looking Cameron Diaz <3. Jay Chou role as Kato was great the same role Bruce Lee played(although I never saw the old one). The movie kind of went by pretty fast though. Overall it was alright.

I think it was Footloose. I haven't watched an actual movie in soooo long that it's hard to remember.

Really my favourite parts are the dance scenes, especially the one at the end. They look like they were a blast to film! :D

February 12th, 2011, 5:35 PM
I saw Justin Bieber's movie Nevery Say Never 3D(DO NOT JUDGE ME).

It was an amazing movie. Except for all the preteens SCREAMING at the top of their lungs but...it was an amazing movie nevertheless

February 13th, 2011, 8:12 PM
I saw The Proposition which was okay at best. The idea for the movie was great I just wasn't to keen on how it all played out. I guess I'll give a quick summary~ It was about three outlaw brothers, the youngest and middle brother were apart of a gang together and the oldest brother (the craziest) lived out in the mountains. (set in 1880s Australia) The two brothers living together get caught by the local sheriff and so he makes a proposition to the middle brother. He will hang the youngest brother on Christmas day (9 days) unless the middle brother goes out to find the oldest brother, kills him, and brings him back.

Going into the movie I thought it would mostly focus on the middle brother and him traveling while making an extremely hard decision. Instead the movie did a lot of going back and forth. That being between the sheriff and the middle brother. Which to an extent I feel like the movie focused a bit more on the sheriff which was disappointing.

Not a bad movie, it just wasn't what I was looking for. It can be a little on the gory side if you're not into that thing though.

February 14th, 2011, 1:17 PM
Well, this weekend I watched Batman Begins, then "legally" downloaded The Dark Knight and was scared stiff by Heath Ledger's Joker. They were both brilliant films.

However, the last one I watched was "Space Cowboys". It was pretty damn funny, tbh. It also managed to make space seem really spooky again, unlike Armageddon and Deep Impact (But it's nowhere near as dramatic as them, although I did find the ending bittersweet...but shall not give spoilers, so I'll just say that when he dies, you know he died happy...).

I would honestly recommend it to anybody who likes a comedy with a bit of drama in it, or who's just bored. It'll make you feel happy if you're a bit down too.

yesss it can be cheesy at parts, but there are so many actors that I love in this movie! I adore Zac Efron, Leslie Mann, Matthew Perry, and Thomas Lennon, so once I saw all of them in the commercial I knew I had to see it.

I think it's cute.

February 27th, 2011, 1:02 PM
The last movie I watched was Scott Pilgrim vs the World. Not because he has the same name.

Anyway, it surpassed my skeptical expectations by a lot. The main character, Michael Cera, is one to get on my nerves in most of his movies, but, surprisingly, this case was different. He played his character pretty nicely. The movie overall deserves a solid thumbs up.

It deserves a thorough review, but I am too lazy for it at the moment.

February 27th, 2011, 3:34 PM
last movie i saw in theaters was the green hornet. much better than what i was made to believe

i also saw The Runaways and the new Karate Kid

February 27th, 2011, 4:41 PM
The Sunset Limited. 90 minutes of an existential debate. It wasn't as deep and thoughtful as I'd hoped it to be, since I've heard all the arguments myself, but for what it's worth, Samuel L. Jackson's acting deserves an ovation.

February 27th, 2011, 6:16 PM
The last movie I watched was Black Swan, it was epic! The ending was bloody though.

February 27th, 2011, 10:21 PM
Last night I watched the First Pokemon Movie: Mewtwo Strikes Back.
So many memories and a wonderful dose of nostalgia which made me want to go through and watch all the films again!

Before that, I saw In Her Shoes with Cameron Diaz which was a great film! Nowhere near as funny as people made it out to be to me, but definitely worth watching and a delightful and moving film!

Before that was I Am Number Four. I really enjoyed the film and was engaged the whole time, but I came out feeling a little unsatisfied. Maybe because I didn't want it to be one of those movies that sort of indicates a sequel, but a great, entertaining movie anyways!

February 28th, 2011, 8:55 AM
Yesterday I watched The Wall (I don't know if that counts as a movie or just a long music video) and immediately after Velvet Goldmine. Yay for thinly veiled Ziggy Stardust. :3

Why can't they make more good musically-themed-but-not-musicals kind of movies like that?

February 28th, 2011, 10:20 AM
I went back last night and watched Final Fantasy 7: Advent Children for the first time in a long time. The plot is still a mess, but it still looks good and the action scenes and score make it worth watching :)

Just saw Megamind for the first time the other night. Thought it was absolutely brilliant! Wasn't quite at Pixar quality, but I have to say, it's probably the best Dreamworks movie sinc How to Train Your Dragon, however that movie probably stands as their best CG movie.

I saw Rango.

Looked really nice. Depp was great. But, odd story with an abrupt endingThis was the last film I saw in a cinema, and I agree wholeheartedly with this assessment. I would say that the story wasn't odd in a bad way, but certainly became more perfunctory as the film went on, especially towards the end.

In terms of the last film I've seen in general, that would be 'Cleo from 5 to 7', a French film from the '60s about a jazz singer waiting to hear the results from a medical test. Quite good.

March 17th, 2011, 11:05 AM
Last movie I saw was Juno. Watched it last night on DVD with my mom. I'd never seen it before and only watched it because it had so much hype a few years back and... it was a good movie. I can see why so many people liked it but I think I expected a bit more from it, all things considered.

March 17th, 2011, 11:37 AM
I watched Hedwig and the Angry Inch yesterday and I've had 'Wig in a Box' stuck in my head all day. I'd seen it before, but it wasn't at all like I remembered it (boring) because this time my impression was completely different (awesome).

Last movie I saw was Juno. Watched it last night on DVD with my mom. I'd never seen it before and only watched it because it had so much hype a few years back and... it was a good movie. I can see why so many people liked it but I think I expected a bit more from it, all things considered.Juno has the ability to polarize so many people with the power of its dialogue. When I admitted to owning a DVD of it, some of my friends threatened to disown me they hated it that much, whereas others were, 'honest to blog', so thrilled that they could watch it with me. It wasn't even a gender-divide, as I originally suspected, with male and female friends coming down on both sides of the equation.

As for me, I watched it last night (by myself, in my room, alone) and have more respect for it every time I do so. The first 15 minutes are kind of torturous with the dialogue, but underneath all of the snark is a sweet film about growing up and the problems inherent with it, no matter how old you are.

March 18th, 2011, 4:55 AM
Went to the cinemas and saw "Limitless" which was nothing amazing, but worth seeing. Honestly, from the trailer I didn't think it looked too groundbreaking, and in my opinion, I was correct, however I am pretty fussy with movies, and both my parents really enjoyed it. There was some abuse of effects used throughout the film...
I recommend it to you all though!

March 18th, 2011, 12:00 PM
James and the Giant Peach...just a few hours ago. That movie is a classic and will always be one of the best movies ever.

March 19th, 2011, 5:02 PM
Saw Unknown at the cinemas with Liam Neeson and January Jones. Quite a good movie, and as I read in a review and completely agree, from the trailer, it is not the movie you expect to see. It is better though!

Anyways, quite a good plot however;
Way too similar to Bourne Identity in my opinion, just with a stronger storyline

Definitely worth seeing, a great movie and excellent entertainment!

The last move I watched "All the President's Men" last night.

I liked it all but the ending, which was abrupt and reduced on screen text showing what happened years later.

The last move I watched "All the President's Men" last night.

I liked it all but the ending, which was abrupt and reduced on screen text showing what happened years later.I saw it for the first time about a month ago and thought the exact same thing (as a friend told me the ending was the best part in her opinion). It was only until about a week later that it finally started to grow on me. It helps if you see the furious typing detailing future events less as an ending and more of an epilogue (with the actual ending being Woodward, Bernstein and Bradlee outside Judy Hoback's house). Maybe it'll grow on you as well; maybe it won't.

Just got back from seeing a British indie film called Submarine, based on a coming-of-age novel. T'was good; it had a 500 Days of Summer vibe in its tone and humour but without all the gimmicks, and manages to rise above most of the cliches inherent in the story. It comes out on June 3rd in North America, and I would recommend it.

March 20th, 2011, 12:44 PM
I've seen its and bits of it throughout my life, but I finally saw Gladiator in its entirety this morning. It was a very fun film to watch for its cinematography and soundtrack, although I was expecting a little more in terms of overall emotional appeal and "deepness". I still enjoyed the movie very much, though.

Now I have an insatiable urge to hack some limbs. Any volunteers?

Ip Man, I think. Great movie, but they shouldn't have labeled it as a biography. It wasn't really based on truth.

Ip Man, I think. Great movie, but they shouldn't have labeled it as a biography. It wasn't really based on truth.

It is actually loosely based on the early life of Ip Man. I say loosely, but yeah, it does have some biographical elements! Definitely agree that it was a good movie, one of the best I've seen this year. Seriously.

So last movie I saw was 'The Switch' by the makers of Juno with Jennifer Aniston. Pretty good movie, a little bit weak, but anyone who enjoys romantic comedies would at the very least find this an entertaining film. Recommended peoples!

Thirst, by the Korean director Park Chan-wook.
It fas weird, funny, but overall dark. It was pretty interesting, actually, I liked it a lot.
If any of you know this, it is based on Émile Zola's novel «Thérèse Raquin».

Recently I saw "J'ai tué ma mère" at school, a film that was mainly about some gay guy's difficult relation with his mother. Unfortunately it wasn't completely restricted to that and contained some very brain-bleach-desire-inducing explicit scenes.

Seriously, I think all kinds of scenes showing the use or misuse (far more common, children either already exist or they never will in most cases) of reproductive mechanisms should be expelled from all media except those solely existing for that purpose - everyone can live without them, but there will always be someone grossed out.

I personally can't wait to see that movie! A friend of mine and myself are suckers for those sort of films...anyways...

The last movie I saw (which was acually some time ago) was Inception. I instantly fell in love with it, but I just wasn't satisfied with the ending or even the overall story. The concept was wonderful, I just almost wish it would of been based around different events.

Just finished watching Lost in Translation which was a thorough let down... Everybody I know who's seen it said it was hilarious, and yet only one bit I found funny and even then it wasn't amazing comedy...
Storyline was good, I felt it was constructed really really poorly though, especially like the cinematic elements like soundtrack and stuff which was non existent in a lot of places it could've helped.

This movie has gotten so many good reviews, so I guess I'd recommend it, but personally I did not enjoy it.

Grown Ups with my family.

I saw Grown Ups on HBO yesterday. It was pretty good, even though I heard it wasn't that good. There were some immature jokes, but there was also some pretty funny humor too.
