I preordered the USA release for White today, and now I'm all excited. So, what starter? and what PKMN should I try to catch in the first areas?

What you start with and what you catch is all up to you. It all depends on your opinion about the Pokémon and which ones you can see yourself with. However, if you are still having trouble deciding what you want to have, ask in the In-Game Help & Translations (http://www.pokecommunity.com/showthread.php?t=232348)thread as a separate thread for this isn't needed.
