I'm really disappointed with the categories. =\ They were fine for last month, but when I did MOTM back in April, I spent about a week pressing out all my ideas and condensing them to about 15 different ones. I did all this research and I sifted through tons of posts trying to figure out what people liked best about MOTM and what they disliked the most... it took a lot of work.

And then this month we get a thread that's virtually identical to last month's. Right down to the presidential thing which ALREADY ENDED. It just... really takes away from the excitement and stuff, you know? -_-;

Maybe it should be done by someone who is known for being creative, but not to the point where the categories are silly.
It needs a bit more thought as Lightning said. The categories are getting a bit too....repetitive. What it needs is to be completely redone, if only for one month, just to try something new.
Maybe let the last MotM be the one who arranges it or something.
As long as it keeps reinventing itself, it should keep going strong each month.

Actually, as long as it's completely redone once, we probably need not worry about it for a year. <_< (Most) people don't really change it all that much from month to month. It requires effort. God forbid we should put a little effort into the things we volunteer for. (I mean come on... it's not like you're FORCED to do this, people. x_X)

Mmm... we should at least brainstorm a few new categories instead of idling by doing nothing but complaining. XD;

Mmm... we try to stay away from the negative categories (like most annoying member). Really, most people would be too reluctant to fill it out anyway, since they don't like causing uproars or commotions, and really, it would just lead to people feeling hurt. ^_^;

When I did MOTM in June I spiced it up.I had like 24 Catergories o.O 7 Of Em were new ones :o

I think it’s silly. I know the staff don’t get involved in this stuff, but I think booking should only go up to like, 3 months. I mean look at this month. Obviously Haruka didn’t want to do it, so she just rushed it. But back when she signed up, like, a year ago, she did. Things change, and such. @_@;

If people really want their months back, they can just sign up again. I also don't think people realize how much work it is. o_O; It's really annoying trying to sift through the ballots of stupid people who can't read the rules (which are VERY simple). x_x;

I think the list is going to be re-sorted so that only 2 months in advance can be booked up, otherwise we end up with what happened for November -the November member becoming less active so not creating new titles and not counting the votes so someone else has to do it ^^; (thankyous to aino to counting for last month)

Well, it's already happened that things have gone wrong ^^; with the list not being changed for december, and a missing counter for november -it's a little annoying having to leave it last minute to find a replacement.

Okay, so ideas for MotM. Maybe this has been proposed, maybe not, but Sawah thought since fanclubs have been so popular lately, we could have a Fanclub on the Month for next month. Yeah there’s a lot of clubs to vote for, but so are there members. ;o And the most popular will be made obvious. XD I think it could be fun!

Ah, point taken... but then, why not just leave the "Member of the Month" instead. x_X Fan clubs are basically measured by the popularity of each member, right? So the overall MotM category pretty much covers that.

I just don't want a ton of categories. It makes the ballots a pain to fill out properly. 15 is enough, but anything more gets pretty lengthy. x_x;

Well, yeah, I'll go with the fanclub one if we ditch the MOTM one. =x That's just another category to throw the people whom you couldn't fit in "Favourite Female/Male Member" into. =x

Seriously, whoever does it next month needs to go through all these discussion threads and figure out exactly what people like and don't like and adjust the categories accordingly. x_x It takes work (took me about a day~), but it makes it so much more enjoyable. =\ We don't want the same categories every month... people could just copy and paste their ballots from the previous month if that were the case. x_x; Maybe some diversity will make it fun and *gaspomg* meaningful again.
