Can someone write a tool like UnLZ that runs on linux too and works with offsets instead of numbers? PLEASE.

I-upping your data
This is a document I made (alone) using GBA graphics editor that lists ALL THE NORMAL SCAN LZ77 COMPRESSED DATA, including compressed palletes and raw data.

Not one of these numbers is accurate for me. I think I must have some different kind of rom. Anybody know where I can find the Gamefreak logo for the alternate numbers?

Yeah, when I went to edit the town map graphics, it was all just one, big, garbled mess, even when I switched color modes in Unlz-GBA, it just would not work! I was frustrated by that. >:(

While I recognise this post is really old, I think it's worth pointing out that GBA Graphics Editor (http://serenesforest.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=26913) exists and is a much nicer alternative to unLZ, in my opinion.
