I've gotten a berry Jar ((or whatever it is called)) and I was wondering what I actually do with it. Where can I find some berries? I've gotten a berry from catching a wild pokemon but I cant seem to find any other ones... Can someone tell me where any more berries are?

On some routes, you might see slightly shaded spots on the ground. If you hit A while looking at it, you might get a berry. There are a lot of berries in Berry Forest, but you also find them on other routes. This thread, though old, has the locations of a lot of berries. Go to Berry Forest and whip out your Itemfinder (I usually register it on Select). It helps you find all those Berries that pop up every day.

mm.... well, very strange for me; of all the times I have entered, no berries have appeared to me :\ I first thought that the Berry Forest was just a name, since I could never find ANY berry in there...

or you could walk into berry forest and look for those weird dents in the ground.

You must mean the berry "Pouch". This item just holds berries that you collect.
The berry jar is to hold medicine made when crushing berries with a friend that you link up with. You bring the crushed up berries to Cerelian. In one of the houses is a man that will make you medicine from the crushed up berries depending on how much you have. To get the berry jar, go to the man in Cerelian. He gives it to you if you have one or more berries.
You can find more berries in the Berry Forest on the Third Orre Island, and in areas where there is a circular patch of grass. They are fairly easy to spot.
