Is your Ludicolo female? It should work assuming you have female Ludicolo and male in the Grass egg group with Leech Seed, since it's an egg move for the Lotad family

What message does it say? If it says The Two Pokemon don't seem to Like Eachother, then they'll still breed, but it'll take longer.

Yeah like toothache said, it would work if its female, and Kadabra if they are two different pokemon but in the same egg group, it will take longer and that message will appear! Oh yeah, welcome to PC!

I have bred Pokemon in GSC, so I understand how the whole thigns works. Its just that it says it doesn't like the other Pokemon =(, I don't play my Sapphire for too long so nothing happens.

Ok, here's a little strangeness. I'm now trying to breed Exeggutor with Ludicolo to get Leech Seed, and an egg just isn't appearing. It's not like I've not left them long enough, the man says the two get along fine, but they've been in the day care centre well over a day now, and still no egg. Perhaps only Lotad and Lombre can breed, I'll use my Lombre and find out.

shroomish learns leech seed at level 10. Catch a male shroomish, get it to level 10 quick and breed with female lotad/lombre/ludicolo. The baby will know leech seed.

I ran across a ludicolo that knew double team, leech seed, toxic, and rain dance, holding leftovers, with rain dish ability. What a pain. I am going to breed one of those soon. For this a roselia would work better because it learns toxic on its own.

You know that egg hatches depend on the number of steps taken. So if you battle or participate in a contest then nothing is done to help the egg hatch.

What I do is give the breeding pokemon to the day care, get the mach bike, and just drive back and forth between the day care and rt 118. The mach bike gives you more steps per second than the regular bike, so hatching and getting eggs is faster this way. I also get rid of all pokemon except one, then keep getting eggs and hatching them until I get a pokemon with the nature and/or ability that I want for it. It's much faster to hatch them in parallel than one at a time.

I use the pokedex at serebii.net to look up the number of steps it takes to hatch an egg to get a rough idea of how long it will take.
