o_O;; Hey, that happened in GSC with my erm ... Pokemon. o-O; I forget what that was. Oh yea. Eevee. It had Shadow ball, Iron Tail, Take Down and Sand attack. o.o; This IS normal for some baby Pokemon ... when its egg moves are the save as its fathers.

It is very normal for baby Pokemon to learn new moves. It's the male that determines the moves. Say if you breed Hitmonchan (male) and Kadabra (female), and the Hitmonchan knowns Thunderpunch and Fire Punch, the baby Abra will also know Thunderpunch and Fire Punch. Note that this only works with some moves, but not all - the complete list is in the Egg Moves sticky.

I didnt know you could make them learn moves by breeding, i always thought it was just to get more pokemon, wow thats awesome so you can make some kind of super pokemon that way?

Exactly. Breeding is very useful for getting moves onto a Pokemon which they wouldn't normally learn, and you can actually breed TM moves as well (which is why the above Skitty ended up with Iron Tail and Solarbeam), so if you only have one TM, breed it onto another Pokemon so you don't lose it.

there is a document in gamefaqs.com under ruby/saphire that has a near TOTAL list of TM breeding so that you have infinate TM's effectivly through breeding.
foundly enough its called the 'Infinate TM's Guide' i believe.
i have found it VERY useful in breeding my TM's and saving a select few TM's that i would of otherwise used on dead end pokemon.
