Wait, wouldn't this go in GB/Strategies and movesets, since he is asking about moves for a specific pokemon?

Or we can answer his question. Teach it thunder and flash. i must go, more explaining later!

Not even

Roar - Scare away opponents that are too strong.
Rain Dance - Will amp up Electric moves, and since its Manetric is kinda weak in the Sp. area it needs this.
Shockwave/Thunderbolt - Shockwave is weaker, but no matter what it can't miss. Thunderbolt if your gonna be playing with a more head on attack.
Double Team - Whats better than attacking and having your opponent miss everytime?

i sense that u have a problem with me spike. anyway, flash is better than double team, since lower their accuracy is better than evasivness. and if you want your pokemon to be better, roar is not needed. get a defensive attack like iron defense, or to mix it up, get an offensive attack, iron tail (oddly enough, manectric can learn these attacks. this way you have a steel attack which is super effective against certain pokemon.

I have a lv 100 Manetric (Boltstryke) who can bearly even be touched by the opponent, And Double Team over Flash you know why? If you don't want Double Team anymore you can delete it, Flash is there forever. And Manetric is pure Electric dolt, it doesn't need Steel moves which it can't learn and is a waste of a turn you could of attacked with. And Steel is good against Rock and Ice and Dragon (no super effective, just effective), Manetric can hold it own against those 3. I wonder sometimes "Is this guy trying to make me diss him? Or is he a n00b?" Because Iron Tail has like a 20% chance of raising Defence. I wonder how long it will take you to find out there is no Iron Tail TM anymore, and that Manetric can't breed with Steel.

um...

-roar
-thunderbolt
-crunch
-thunderwave

With such great speed, it's a complete waste without thunderwave. Double team is great but with such low defense it's too hard to pull off, so may as well stick with the offensive side.

And Spike Razzor mind to do a little research first? Iron Tail drops defense, as Steel Wing is the one to raise defense. The Iron Tail tm is TM 23 so you must be missing a tm somewhere... Shockwave is a tm filler... don't use it for any pokemon (like wow 100% accuracy big deal... if you really are so worried about double team, you should be getting a hazer not shockwave. The only reason why aerial ace is so commonly used even though it's the same thing as aerial ace or swift is that it's a flying move, and flying moves are hard to come by, while there's the good old thunderbolt which is better than shockwave in all ways possible)

309 (no personality bonus) sp.att is not weak at all... or you must have very high expectations for your Pokemon... manectric is perfectly fine without rain dance. Plus with rain dance there's more harm than gain... I don't really want to give the opponent a chance to retaliate with a OHKO-Surf... plus once again, too long of a setup with this low defense.

and let's not call anyone "Noob" or "Stupid". Everyone needs to start somewhere, and *flame* I don't see why are you calling someone "noob" if you believe that there's no iron tail tm... *ends flame*

Here is my suggestion.
Thunderbolt
Thunder
Charge
Double Team

I have a Manectric that has thoughs moves and i use it to beat Battle tower(well beat 100 people in a row-with out codes)

If its Defence is so low then why Crunch? Dark isn't really the best element, lack of things to do x2 to. And if you lowered your opponents Sp.Def then you would prob die after they use Earthquake, no chance to use Thunderbolt as a combo.

Well, by the time I get a Hazer out it dies. And please, read Shockwave/Thunderbolt there is an option there is you didn't seem. I never once said which was better. And yes accuracy is a big deal, If moves like Thunderbolt/Flamthrower/Ice beam/Earthqake/Thunder wave ect where 55 or 60 accuracy do you think people would use them? This would mean longer boring whoever hits first battle.

The Sp.Atk for mine seems low, maybe it is the Personality bonus. And you do realize noone is dumb enough to use Rain Dance when there is a Water type out, and even if they switch then that OHKO for them when I zap 'um.

How can you not believethere was a Iron Tail TM if we all know it was in GSC, I said there was no. Not I don't believe, theres a difference.

You need to calm down, prob still mad from the Aggron topic. I know that for a fact cause Sleek here is saying "No need for Roar.", and you havn't said anything.

Dark is not a good element? Only fighting, dark and steel have resistancy against them. It has quite a big advantage against psychic and ghost types (argh... stupid Dusclops). Plus it's the only sp.att Manectric can ever learn without going into Hidden Power. So why not? It's not about the sp.def part, but just another sp.att so you can switch over to modest personality.

Well, by the time I get a Hazer out it dies. And please, read Shockwave/Thunderbolt there is an option there is you didn't seem. I never once said which was better. I am fully aware of the option, but however regardless of ANY case, thunderbolt will ALWAYS prevail over shockwave. Thunderbolt can never miss without sandveil or double team. Though double team is certainly deadly, I don't think that it's really worth it to sacrifice 30-some attack power just to handle double team (and the most common double team-er is Dusclops, and shockwave isn't going to scratch that guy). Also, if shockwave is really so powerful, well... i don't see people use swift over return in the past GSC game.

The Sp.Atk for mine seems low, maybe it is the Personality bonus. And you do realize noone is dumb enough to use Rain Dance when there is a Water type out, and even if they switch then that OHKO for them when I zap 'um.

Well let's drop the water type and switch to something that's neutral against electric type then. You use rain dance first turn to setup thunder, however this turn is rather fatally dangerous for manectric unless you are up against a staller. I'm not a gambler myself and i would like something more practical in every situation, even if it's less effective in the long run. Plus being someone who is mortally paranoid about pressure+protect, i do prefer an attack with a bit more PP than that.

How can you not believethere was a Iron Tail TM if we all know it was in GSC, I said there was no. Not I don't believe, theres a difference.

Um... very sorry but my english/communication skill is failing me here >_<

Firstly i hold different expectations from the 2 types of people here- ingame trainers and online battlers. From another post, you play on Netbattle as well and so I would expect you to be someone equal or better than me (including knowledge such as pseudohazer, thunder+thunderbolt=no no and etc). When Sleek reaches the point where s/he will get on online battling, i would up my expectation as well (like reading an essay from a gr.7 and a gr.10. You hold different expectations).

Now about the "madness" thing certainly driven to insanity with the everyday stalker alert and essay pressure... but now it's not the aggron topic issue alone, but over a long period of time, your posting style has farmed and accumulated these hatred in my heart towards you already. Not just once, but multiple times have I seen a very negative register post from you (and a few others as well.)

Ugh if you don't mind, could you leave your problems off the computer? if you must flame each other, do it on IM, we don't need to see it here. Don't start flaing me, either, I'm just trying to be a peacekeeper here.

IMO, mxman, you should configure it so it can battle a variety of types; but still concentrate on electricity. If you can, teach it a Special move that can combat Ground types; you won't want to be helpless against a surprise Water/Ground opponent. I'd suggest

Thunder [for the power issues]
Rain Dance [to make Thunder 100% accurate]
Spark [as a finishoff move]
If it can learn a watertype move like Water Pulse [I have a Manectric, but I don't remember if it can learn that move], or some other special move [other than Firetype moves], then use that; as long as it's powerful enough to be worth it.

roar isnt much use, because you can't use it against a trainer, the others i am not sure because I am a water trainer of a Garydos, Magikarp (Everstone), Blastoise (Trade), and Tentacruel. All lvl 100

Flaming does not result in a ban but only a warning. However if any member does not stop flamming but instead continously flame other members for the smallest reasons possible, then further actions will be carried out by the staff members...

now before this ugly hubris returns, let's not bash the "noobs." Remember that you were once a "noob" too in Pokemon. You aren't born knowing everything, but you need time yourself to discover things. These people are in this stage. Let them learn more about it. Instead of bashing them to discourage them from playing the game, teach them so they'll become the pros of the game in the future.

Um...All of these movesets have been very good but I'll try my own anyway. These were the moves for my Manectric:
Thunder (Power Move)
Rain Dance (Powers up Electric Moves)
Bite (Even though it's sort of a basic move)
Facade (I just made my Manectric learn it. Not sure if it's really a good move)
Mind you my Manectric was at Level 100 so it beat most enemies in 1 move...But I did win a lot in a row at the Battle Tower. Must have been over 50 in a row. (I think)
By the way what is a Noob?

If you knew you where a n00b then why would you post comments at all? Some people like me have played this since R/B, we know whats were doing. Whats pisses us off is when someone who doesn't know what hes saying comes up and tries to challanges us, most of the time we show them where they belong and shut them up. Unlike the n00bs here and now-a-days I kept my mouth shut till I knew what I was doing.

It's really good if the user's burned, paralyzed, or poisoned, like it says. It really boosts Attack in those conditions well.

First of all, there's a condtriction.

Okay, this topic has lost its point. Now all it is is a proving ground for the "n00b" hunter, and others to make themselves better by putting others down. Don't deny it, that is all you're doing. The word n00b is never taken kindly, it's a slur for new people.

I wonder sometimes "Is this guy trying to make me diss him? Or is he a n00b?" Because Iron Tail has like a 20% chance of raising Defense. I wonder how long it will take you to find out there is no Iron Tail TM anymore, and that Manectric can't breed with Steel.

You can say it nicely, or just don't post. People are getting upset over this thread. Next time kindly correct people and ask them to leave it to more experienced people. And don't shout it out that you're the "n00b" hunter right after correcting them.

Oh, and you asked him about his spelling? I corrected defense and Manectric on that last quote.
