I was thinking that we could maybe have a section in the about me section of our profile where we could put our Global Link names, seeing as there is no real specific place for it and it can get confusing going around asking people for theirs. So I was wondering what others think of this.

I wouldn't be against an idea like this. We recently had the Friend Codes area added to the About Me of user's profiles. I can see this fitting within the Biography section of the About Me or right under Friend Codes.

Vaporeon beat me to it :P

But yeah I'm up for this - except instead of the nicknames (which would be a bit useless since there is currently no search function on PGL), we have the direct link to their profiles.

The only difficulty is that PGL doesn't give your direct link to you, but it does give the one's in your Friends List. In which case, you would have to PM one of your friends in order to get your link.

For example - vaporeon, yours is: http://en.pokemon-gl.com/profile/?id=978734

It would be a handy thing to have. ^^ If the links are all the same format, then you could just have a box to put the number in (e.g.: just "978734").

And yes - I've even gone ahead and made an icon for you so you don't have to bother. Aren't I nice?

It's that stylised 'O' from the Global Link logo. ^^ Of course this is only suggestions. I know that even if you do have a link to another person's profile, there's no button to add them to your Game Pal or Dream Pal list (yet), but still I wouldn't mind showing my profile to everyone. ^^

EDIT: Just realised the if you change the 'en' part of the address, you can view it in different languages.

Kip said I should bump this because he agrees with this idea.

As for the logo, I also like it and think it would be god.
