What's the deal with Pokemon Emerald? Is it kind of like the Green version of the Ruby/Sapphire series, or is it the special edition that was never released in America?

Emerald is the third game in Ruby/Sapphire Series, the game your probably refering to that wasn't realeased in america is Green. If thats not what you wanted to know then sorry ^^;. And yes it is kinda like the Green for R/S like Crystal was for G/S.

Emerald is like RS but with a few additional features and tweaks with the storyline and such. It's like Yellow was for RB, and Crystal was for GS. It's essesntially the same game as Ruby/Sapphire... but with some changes ^_~

Err ... like everyone said, it is the Changed Version of RS. Like C was to GS. And Y is to RB/G. (green is the same as Red but it was never released to the US due to some reason. o.O;; So that's where Blue came in.)
Shouldn't this be closed?
