Fire Pokemon have great attack, special attack, and speed, which makes them very good offensive pokemon, but not so good defensively.

When it comes to my favourite fire-type Pokemon, Chandelure easily takes the cake. Litwick is just cute, I think the same with Lampent and when it becomes Chandelure it becomes so darn good.

My least favourite would be...Magby. I mean, I know its cute and all, but Magmar is way better.

What's your favourite Fire Pokemon? Why?: Blaziken, Chandelure and Infernape. They hit hard and have cool designs.
What's your least favourite fire pokemon? Why?: Heatmor. It looks weird, plus it's slow and frail (2 competitive battling words that don't go well together)
What about Fire Pokemon do you like? What about fire pokemon don't you like?: What I like about Fire Pokemon are the designs in particular. I hate how defensively weak they are, unless that Pokemon is Heatran.
If pokemon were real and you've had fire pokemon, how would you train them?: Train near a volcano or any place with a heat source.

For those who want to pick off a list, here's all the Fire-type Pokémon in the series.

http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Category:Fire-type_Pok%C3%A9mon

I'd have to say Arcanine. Such an adorable scrapper; I'd want to take one home with me (Yes, Growlithe is more appropriate, but Arcanine is just awesome still). It's also a Legendary Pokémon in the Pokédex sense, which goes for some hilarious smart-aleck stuff. V:

Hmm...least favorite, I don't know. Maybe Heatmor. I know the idea of an anteater vs. ant thing was interesting, but Heatmor didn't impress me very much. D:

Something with the Fire Pokémon has stuff that really shines about them brightly. Yeah, must be as said earlier -- high offenses, low defenses. That I like. It's a shame that I don't take lots of Fire Pokémon with me. ;_; After Generation IV, I kind of stopped using a bunch of Fire-types. :(

And if they appeared in real life, well, I'd teach them how to keep me warm. :D

Favorite: Magby. I hated it at first but I raised one and it's just an offensive bada$$. It got some fighting moves from Machamp, and it's in it's lvl 50's now. And that's weird cuz heatmor is one of my favorite pokemon in Gen V.
Worst: Charizard. just shut up about it. Blastoise pwnz.
I'm pretty much anti-fire. I have always have water types and with their low defenses they die like nothing.
If I had a real fire pokemon I would play to its strength and just make it an offensive madhouse. Strong jaws. Hot fire.

What's your favourite Fire Pokemon? Why?
All of them XD
What's your least favourite fire pokemon? Why?
None TBH
What about Fire Pokemon do you like? What about fire pokemon don't you like?
High special attack, powerful attacks. What I don't like about them..OMG LOW HP
If pokemon were real and you've had fire pokemon, how would you train them?
A hot place or somewhere volcanic of course.

What's your favourite Fire Pokemon? Why?
My favourite is Slugma, I think it looks cool and it is great for hatching eggs.

What's your least favourite fire pokemon? Why?
It would have to be Chimchar. I've never liked the way it looks and I found Ash's annoying.

What about Fire Pokemon do you like? What about fire pokemon don't you like?
I like how useful fire types are for an in-game team, I don't like how they made an elite 4 member use fire types in Pokemon D/P when there were only 2 available.

If pokemon were real and you've had fire pokemon, how would you train them?
I would train them in the mountains, somewhere that I couldn't start a bushfire. A volcano would be good too.

What's your favourite Fire Pokemon? Why?
Infernape, cos I'm Year of the Monkey.

What's your least favourite fire pokemon? Why?
Magcargo and Camerupt, they have a 4x Water weakness

What about Fire Pokemon do you like? What about fire pokemon don't you like?
Good attacking power and awesome attacks. What I don't like about them - HP stat.

If pokemon were real and you've had fire pokemon, how would you train them?
I'd train them by making fire by rubbing sticks to power up their Fire attacks.

What's your favourite Fire Pokemon? Why?
Chandelure; no question about this one. Apart from its super cool design, it has such good typing and Special Attack. AND IT'S SHAPED LIKE A CHANDELIER!

What's your least favourite fire Pokemon? Why?
Probably Torkoal, to be honest. I like tortoises in the real world, but added with Fire in the Pokemon world and I just go off them, slightly.

What about Fire Pokemon do you like? What about Fire Pokemon don't you like?
Flamethrower is one of my favourite moves, and I like that Fire-types are normally really offensive, as that's what I like in a critter. However, they really could use a bit of bulk. One Surf will just destroy most of them, unfortunately!

If Pokemon were real and you've had Fire Pokemon, how would you train them?
This is going to be a question for all of them, isn't it? -_- I guess volcano circuit training it is!

What's your favourite Fire Pokemon? Why? Hmm... tough one. Ninetales, Magmortar, Chandelure, Combusken, I guess. They all have cool designs and Chandelure has a good movepool. Will-O-Wisp/Hex combo rocks.
What's your least favourite fire pokemon? Why? I never got what Numel is supposed to be. "Oh, it's a camel? Looks more like a sheep!"
What about Fire Pokemon do you like? What about fire pokemon don't you like? I always use at least one Fire-type in my games for their attacks. Offensively, I think it's the best type in the game. Defensively, it's one of the worst.
If pokemon were real and you've had fire pokemon, how would you train them? I'd wait until winter and then have them melt snow and keep me warm so I could go around in T-shirts and shorts. After rigourous training sessions, I'd feed them salsa and jalapenos to spice up their flames.

What's your favourite Fire Pokemon? Why?

Blaziken has a great design and a good, wide moveset. And it's a blazing chicken.

What's your least favourite fire pokemon? Why?

Reshiram is a insult to not only Fire and Dragon types, but pokemon in general.

What about Fire Pokemon do you like? What about fire pokemon don't you like?

I like their sheer power, but dislike there glaring weakness to Ground and Water.

If pokemon were real and you've had fire pokemon, how would you train them?

I would'nt train them seeing how dangerous they are. :/

What's your favourite Fire Pokemon? Why?

I'd have to go with Charizard, it's strong, it has a high Sp. A and it has a good moveset.

What's your least favourite fire pokemon? Why?

Numel and its evo. I mean they're pretty weak, and they have a x4 weakness against water.

What about Fire Pokemon do you like? What about fire pokemon don't you like?

I like mostly all fire types, mainly because all of them have a high Sp. A or attack, the Pokemon I dislike have a weakness of x4 water, which would be Magcargo, Camerupt and others along those lines.

If pokemon were real and you've had fire pokemon, how would you train them?

I'd train them to have strong attacks and to make them do my bidding :v

What's your favourite Fire Pokemon? Why?
My magical changing sig is the anwser to that. Reason? They're SO unloved, and look much better than their counterparts.

What's your least favourite fire pokemon? Why?
Blaziken. Why did cute, cute, Torchic and Combusken have to turn into a fighting chicken man?

What about Fire Pokemon do you like? What about fire pokemon don't you like?
I dunno, they're just really fun to use. Also Rock type.

If pokemon were real and you've had fire pokemon, how would you train them?

Give them great moves, then beat ones that are weak to them!

What's your favourite Fire Pokemon? Why?
It would have to be Vulpix/Ninetales. They are just so designed so beautifully.

I must admit that I have fallen in love with many of the Unova fire types.

What's your least favourite fire pokemon? Why?
Torkoal. It is just so bland and has a horrible color scheme. I don't find it likable in anyway sadly :c

What about Fire Pokemon do you like? What about fire pokemon don't you like?
I like Fire pokemon because they usually have a strong advantage against a lot of other pokemon. I always use Fire pokemon in my team because of this. But, for whatever reason, I don't like Fire pokemon as much as I used to.

If pokemon were real and you've had fire pokemon, how would you train them?
I would train them like any other pokemon... but I would stand far away x3;

What's your favourite Fire Pokemon? Why? Chandelure! For it's high Special Attack and it's name. :3
What's your least favourite fire pokemon? Why? Slugma & Magcargo. Ugly ugly ugly....and pathetic typing.
What about Fire Pokemon do you like? What about fire pokemon don't you like?I like them for their vigour, spirit, ferocity and power. I dislike them for having usually poor defenses and sometimes the rarity of fire Pokemon in a single region.
If pokemon were real and you've had fire pokemon, how would you train them? I would train them on a stringent schedule. I'll mostly train them in warm climate areas or in a mountainous terrain, somewhere harsh.

No idea. :v

What's your favourite Fire Pokemon? Why?

Chandular but only because it is the only fire type I have really used. Ho-oh however would be my favourite too because it is so awesome in every way and Mltres because mine is shiny.

What's your least favourite fire pokemon? Why?

None really.......... maybe.... yeah idk. Fire type aren;t my preference, but this thread has made me realize I dislike fire types for absolutely no reason at all. I should start using them.

What about Fire Pokemon do you like? What about fire pokemon don't you like?

I like SpA fire types like Chandular and Ho-oh because special attackers are my favourites because their designs usually come across more detailed and mysterious.

If pokemon were real and you've had fire pokemon, how would you train them?

The same as all pokemon, just training them in all elements like snow and water especially.

What's your favourite Fire Pokemon? Why?

Charizard or Typhlosion or Arcanine. All other fire types I hate with a passion. Wait, is Entei a fire type? *shrugs* if he is, love him too.. I typically dont really care or pay mind to fire type Pokes, since usually they are the starters I choose in my first playthrough so I dont really need another one right?

What's your least favourite fire pokemon? Why?

Chandelure. He just looks..Idiotic. Seriously, gen V makers could no come up with a better fire type? A candle holder? Really? Nice on, Game Freak... same as that STUPID ICE CREAM CONE..

What about Fire Pokemon do you like? What about fire pokemon don't you
like?

Generally annoying, since usually last playthrough of a game before I stop and just do everything in it consists of using the Grass type starter, so Fire types are always a pain then. I like Fire types cause they are usually pretty strong, especially Typhlosion, Charizard, and Arcanine. Also, most of their designs are epic. Except for Chandelure =.=".

If pokemon were real and you've had fire pokemon, how would you train them?

Throw them in a volcano. Hope they get stronger and arent burnt to a crisp...But if it doesnt work out, anyone want some BBQ? Nom.

What's your favourite Fire Pokemon? Why?

Houdour/Houndoom probably. I also love Flareon and Charmeleon. The charmander line is good in general but Charmeleon looks mean without being over the top.

What's your least favourite fire pokemon? Why?

Slugma/Macargo. I just find them boring.

What about Fire Pokemon do you like? What about fire pokemon don't you like?

The only thing I don't like about Fire Pokemon is how Charmander would die if his tail flame was put out :(. I was just really sad when I found that out as a kid.

If pokemon were real and you've had fire pokemon, how would you train them?

In a volcano. That'll make them tough and in touch with fire.

One of my favorite types! Fire. :]

What's your favourite Fire Pokemon? Why? Hmm... Since I have so many, this is a really tough one to answer. If I had to pick, I think I'd say a tie between Arcanine and Typhlosion. The former because he looks awesome and I've always felt his stats are pretty evenly distributed. Of course, he has a few higher than the others... but not so much that the difference is drastic. The latter because he is perfect for my battle strategy (outright attack based... try to Crit. Hit or KO as often as possible!) His stats aren't as evenly spread out, but his Sp. Attack being so high is easy to take advantage of. And his move pool isn't bad, either.

What's your least favourite fire pokemon? Why? Slugma and Magcargo. Terrible. Just terrible. Their design is horrendous and they're not good at battling, I find. At least, not for the strategy I use. Magcargo has too many weaknesses that are easy to expose and hardly any decent stats to make up for it. His defense is decent... but for someone like me, who doesn't make too much use of defense, that's easy to shrug off.

What about Fire Pokemon do you like? What about fire pokemon don't you like? I like that most fire Pokemon have high Attack, Speed, and/or Special Attack. Since I use an "ATTACK, ATTACK, ATTACK" strategy and like one hitting Pokemon as often as I can, fire Pokemon have always been the most perfect fit for my team. I don't like how very few of them there are in certain games.

If pokemon were real and you've had fire pokemon, how would you train them? The same as I do in the game. While I'm travelling so that they will be accustomed to all elements, battle strategies, etc. I might skip out on training in water, though. To this day, I don't understand how fire Pokemon can battle while you're surfing...

What's your favourite Fire Pokemon? Why?
→ Probably going to have to go with Ninetales. I don't really have that much of a reason, but it's design is pretty cool. n_n

What's your least favourite fire pokemon? Why?
→ I don't really have a least favorite fire type, nor are there that much to be honest.

What about Fire Pokemon do you like? What about fire pokemon don't you like?
→ ...I don't know, they can burn you. Which can be both good and bad. ;c

If pokemon were real and you've had fire pokemon, how would you train them?
→ With a whip. I would probably train them in the grass of course. :B

What's your favourite Fire Pokemon? Why?
I'm not really fond of Fire type Pokemon, but there's just Ho-Oh who I like. It's so graceful and elegant. <3

What's your least favourite fire pokemon? Why?
The Torchic evolutionary line. >:( I don't really know why, but it's just like that. XD;; Maybe that is because I like the Mudkip and Treeko line a lot more.

If pokemon were real and you've had fire pokemon, how would you train them?
I'd be a trainer, so I would surely have to. :D

Ooh, fun!

I like Ninetales and Rapidash a lot. And Quilava--really the whole Cyndaquil family. My Emboar in White grew on me, too, but Tepig is adorable. ^^

I'm not a huge fan of the Torchic family, either. To be honest, though, I wasnt a huge fan of the Ruby/Sapphire generation at all.

I love how powerful Fire types can be. They have amazing Special Attack stats. But their Special Defense states are almost abysmal. :(

Haha, this would be the fun part. For my Rapidash, I'd ride it around all day till we encountered wild PKMN and then battle!

What's your favourite Fire Pokemon? Why? Typhlosion because it gets a good movepool and has excellent Special Attack. Mine kicked major butt in Soul Silver.
What's your least favourite fire pokemon? Why? Charizard because it's overrated. Growlithe and Arcanine because of traumatic IRL experiences with dogs. Flareon because it has high Attack and yet no Flare Blitz:/
What about Fire Pokemon do you like? What about fire pokemon don't you like?
I like the raw power that most of them have. I don't especially care for the Burn status condition or their weakness to the ever-present Water and Ground types, which makes them somewhat of a liability.
If pokemon were real and you've had fire pokemon, how would you train them?
Burn our paper/flammable trash. Burn down our yard so my dream of living in the middle of a parking lot can finally be realized.

What's your favourite Fire Pokemon? Why?
- ARCANINE. <3 favourite pokemon of them all. first pokemon based on a dog with awesome moves and power. it has it all, really.

What's your least favourite fire pokemon? Why?
- magcargo. really boring and forgettable pokemon with many weaknesses, plus it's really ugly.

What about Fire Pokemon do you like? What about fire pokemon don't you like?
- it's my favourite type. there are so many really cool fire-types with great designs and great moves. there are only a couple which let it down a bit but that doesn't matter.

If pokemon were real and you've had fire pokemon, how would you train them?
- well growlithe/arcanine would be my little sidekick, and I'd just train them regularly in any environment, except in the water.

What's your favorite Fire Pokemon? Why?
Houndoom; I love the blend of Fire/Dark. It makes Houndoom special.
What's your least favorite Fire Pokemon? Why?
Chandelure; just another victim of the fifth generation. The fact that it was modeled after a chandelier, and given a similar name, just sickens me!
What about Fire Pokemon do you like? What about fire pokemon don't you like?
There's nothing that I really dislike about Fire Pokemon. They're just cool, having to do with fire and all. Why would somebody have a problem with them? (Other than Chandelure, of course.)
If pokemon were real and you've had fire pokemon, how would you train them?
How would I train them? I would level them up to 100, and smash every trainer in my path! Isn't that what every trainer is supposed to do? (Yes yes, I know. That wasn't the question, shh!)

EDIT: Stumbled upon this post again. I like Chandelure now.

What's your favourite Fire Pokemon? Why?
I've always been partial towards Vulpix and Ninetales. Vulpix is rather adorable and Ninetales is really elegant. My love for them skyrocketed when I became obsessed with foxes :>

What's your least favourite fire pokemon? Why?
I've never been a fan of the Magmar evolutionary line. In my opinion, they're all rather ugly looking (save for Magby, which is somewhat cute), and I think they're overrated.

What about Fire Pokemon do you like? What about fire pokemon don't you like?
I like them because I am a closet pyromaniac and thus because they burn things I like them. A lot of them also have really cool designs, and the attacks are really cool-looking and powerful, too. Being able to Burn your opponent means their Attack will be lowered, and while I do like getting at one's Defense with Poison more, Fire types aren't the most defensive so getting at one's Attack stat really helps.

One thing I don't like is that there are too few Fire types. I guess this doesn't really have much to do with Fire types themselves, but it would be nice if Nintendo came up with as many Fire types as they do Grass or Water types. At the same time, though, their rarity is also part of the charm, and they're a devastator to the ever-so-defensive Steel type.

If pokemon were real and you've had fire pokemon, how would you train them?
Seeing how no one would want me blowing up anything, I would teach them simple tasks, such as lighting a fire in the fireplace or for a campfire. I would also get them to learn to eat fire to regain their energy (yes, I had to get my Natsu/Fairy Tail reference in here eventually).

What's your favourite Fire Pokemon? Why?
Arcanine. I personally think he is not just has a good stats, he's also looks gallant, and elegant.

What's your least favourite fire pokemon? Why?
Magcargo. I just don't like how he is looks. and In my opinion he has a bad type combination.

What about Fire Pokemon do you like?
I personally like the most of Fire Pokemon design, most of them are looks gallant and cool, plus most of them has a great offensive ability.

If pokemon were real and you've had fire pokemon, how would you train them?
Gather them together and let them fight each other.
But, If I only had one Fire Pokemon, I will train that Pokemon at the damp areas and make that Pokemon get used to fight in unfavorable situations.

What's your favourite Fire Pokemon? Why?
Ninetales, Houndoom, Charizard, Moltres, Typhlosion, Rapidash, Reshiram

There's more that appeal to me like Ho-Oh, Magmar, Volcarona, Torchic and Flareon and possibly Arcanine/Torkoal but I picked the above as they've always appealed to me, aesthetically and/or due to the anime :)

What's your least favourite fire pokemon? Why?
Top 5 would be: Chimchar's line, Darmanitan, Pansear's line, Heatran and Tepig's line.

Just not my kind of pokémon - never been overly fond of monkeys, for example.

What about Fire Pokemon do you like? What about fire pokemon don't you like?
What do I like: They're my favourite type hands down, the fact that so many of my favourites are in this category is a major bonus for me :) I love how sleek and elegant most of them are, and to be blunt, they spit FIRE at people - how cool are they?! :D

Hand on heart I can't think of anything I dislike about them :) My only complaint is that there weren't a lot of fire types in Gens 3 & 4 :)

If pokemon were real and you've had fire pokemon, how would you train them?
Hard one as I don't live near any volcanoes lol!! :D In the pokémon world I'd train at Cinnabar Island but in reality I'd maybe take them abroad to hot countries for a treat and training session, and then the rest of the year just train them on grass etc lol :) Take them to fields and forests (loads close by! :) ) and let them battle the pokémon there :)
