I know that the Nintendo 3DS can upload images taken by 3DS Camera and those saved through the web browser. Unfortunately, I cannot upload to PC using the "Manage Attachments" window. If I use it, and upload, then click "Close this Window," it keeps the upload page there and I cannot attach any images to my posts, no matter what skin I am using.

Can either:
A. A 3DS-friendly skin be developed
B. The themes have the uploader appear under the reply box, or
C. Make the "Close this Window" return to the reply page with the attachment?

This would be really nice for a thread I plan to make soon.

I don't own a 3DS so I don't know the details of image uploading, but could it be possible to save them on your 3DS or somewhere like Photobucket, and access them from a computer later?

I'm not too sure about the images, but I like the theme idea, I was using my 3ds on here a while ago, the constant scrolling was really annoying - maybe a feature to get around it?

On my 3DS I use the mobile skin as that works the best but there probably should be one specially made for it.

I just tested this on my 3DS and from what I can tell, the problem is that the manage attachments is a pop up window. The 3DS doesn't have a way to display another window or tab, so it loads the popup as a regular website, so you can't close the window to return to the other window because there is no other window. The only way to solve this is to create a custom theme where the manage attachments options are under the reply box instead of in a pop up.

This would be really nice for a thread I plan to make soon.
I hope this idea is to share 3D photos, cause I've been wanting to do that, just been too lazy to do anything abut it.

Yes, it was. I'm unsure as to where to put it, G&P or VG?

Anyways, that was what I thought the cause was. If the 3DS had a tab system, there wouldn't be this problem.

The solutions are impossible without having us delve through the attachment system itself - that involves editing the files. We can't simply stuff the attachment upload box on the thread edit page. I anticipate that we'd have to edit newthread.php, postreply.php and the like so that they can work with the attachment system. Doing such simply isn't viable.

A solution would be to remove the SD card from the 3DS and use a computer, but it would require some troubleshooting to figure out if exactly what files you would need to upload. I'm willing to participate, but I need someone else's help.

It's not as hard as it looks. Browse the .jpg files and find the one you want to upload. It's respective .MPO file will have the same name. Or, just open the .MPO in Windows Photo Gallery- it renders it as a 2D image. I'd rather use the 3DS because my card reader sucks and it's much easier to do it straight from my handheld.

Well, you can make close this window simply return to thread. :\

NatureKeeper, the 3DS does not retain information from the reply page, so you'd simply be sent back to a blank reply page where you have to fill everything out again. That having been said, the browsers don't support 3D image viewing on devices that obviously aren't 3D.

A 3DS stores 3D images as MPO files in the DCIM folder of the SD card. It also stores a corresponding JPG. When the 3DS browser sends images, they send JPGs anyway.
