Hi everyone, I have a quick question you might be able to answer. I am preparing to sell a Pokemon cartridge for Gameboy Color. The cartridge is red, so I think it is the Red game and not the Ruby game. I barely played it but I would like to clear my activity from the cartridge so that whoever buys it doesn't start up the game and have my gameplay on it.

I was wondering how I clear off my current saved games from the cartridge so the person who buys it starts at the beginning of the game? I really know nothing about Pokemon so any help would be appreciated.

Just start a new game and save it before you get the pokemon, I don't think there is a way to delete the save file.

Ok. I started up the game and I have the option to continue my game or just to start a new one. Do you tihnk it's okay to sell the game like this, and the user can just select to start a new game? I probably walked about 5 feet in my current saved game. I don't even know what getting pokemon means. :) I mean, I literally did not play the game at all except for a few seconds. Thanks for the help.

There was a small code you could enter using a few buttons on the start up menu where you could make a new game or continue but i do not remember what it was sadly :(

Yeah, Breakout´s idea was good. I thought about that too.

It was funny when I typed it.

It's Up+Select+B in all of the Pokémon games, and down+select+b for Resetting the GS clock or down+select+b in FireRed/LeafGreen/Emerald for fixing the Ruby/Sapphire clock function by using the link cable.

But I guess you're looking for Up+Select+B, which completely initializes the RAM (erases all save game slots and data).
