Well I've been watching alot of sprites here and there. And they inspired me to try it out. Didn't know what the hell to do but I started with the super-duper basics lol
So there starters so I get the hang of it, but just thought I show you my progres.. Don't be so mean now :P
Here are what I was thiking when doing them;
For the first attempt I tried pichu-with poliwag;
I just wanted to see if I could get poli's tail into pichu's as my first attempt. I managed the colors with the thickest to the slimest using old poli's dark and light colors into mind when overlaping them with the pichu's colors.
For my second attemt I tried cleffy- with weeping bell;
I took a look at their bodies and it was one of the simpler ones I could test out, so I went and cut weeping's leaves and put them as cleffy's arms. I wasn't really thinking of how big one arm was and how the other was smaller, so yes I know -_-; I messed it there. Well then I colored it using cleffy's colors then I tried to make it like the arms were blended. But I didn't know how so I tried an alternate way and made a black / pinkish color so it doesn't stand out and you can see how and where it starts and ends. I couldn't find a lighter tone on cleffy to fill the 3rd lighter color on weeping's leafs so I got the 2nd lightest color then took it up 25 whites and made that color effect. Then it felt a little plain so I decided to add some mini horns to it I just got weeping's stem at the top and fliped it over and over to get the effect. Then I doubled it for the other ear.
For my third attempt I tried a weeping bell- with FarFetch'd;
Since I already took its leaves out, I had an open shell. Then I saw farf's wings and I saw that it was near weepings height so I took them out (only the right one.) And then tried various ways, but then I started to color the wing with the colors of weeping then made an opening, with a so it looks a little more belivable that it can flap them (tried the hardest). Then I douplicated the wing and fliped it horizontal then put it at the edge of weeping but that didn't look good so I moved him 7 times to the left and that looked a little better.
Well thats it I'll try some more tomorrow Its getting late. Wow very detailed huh :P
