*confused* should i put this in RSE threads or FRLG threads?
as topic says. me and my friend both got ruby and i got a fire red. we linked them up and upgraded the berry glitch in my game... but it doesnt work on his one. when i try it on his it gives the message -Error, cannot upgrade. his isnt original game and dont got the Nintendo logo inside the slit in his cartridge but my fr and ruby are both originals... is that the problem? how do i fix it and upgrade it?
and we dont got Col... either of us so pls dont mention that one.

i believe the berry update program will only work when:
1. Connecting to POkemon colosseum
or
2. Trading Jirachi from Pokemon Chanel
either way, i strongly believe that the only way is to get a Gamecube (catch 22 anyone?)

Actually, there's an easier third way ^^
3.) Some EB games [some gaming store...] Has update stations. I'm not sure if they're that common in the US though. If you live in NY, you could always go to the Pokemon Center.

just the problem. none of has Coloseum... it never really got here... and if it did it wouldn't be original... heck nobody's heard of GC's really here either... we all got ours from abroad.... and im NOWHERE near usa or anywhere with a good gaming store..
im using my FR's berry upgrader on our rubies.... it worked on mine but it wasnt working on my friends... it always gives an error.

I'd just check the connections. I can't think of why =/

I beleive he said it was genuine.
And I think it probably has already been updated once that happened?

It would be pretty hard to find a fake ruby cart -.-;

er... look where we are... its HORRIBLY easy to get fake carts..... XD
mr. sato winstrate... MY fr and ruby are originals..... my friends one is fake.... i can tell cos the Nintendo logo aint there in the cart slot... when i re-tried on mine to see if the upgrader died or something it said that "This game has already been upgraded" but in my friends it says "Error cannot upgrade."

Well that's probably the problem. It must be a Ruby ROM downloaded onto a flash cart so it can't be updated.

he can get berries whenever he wants (in the wild, by pokemon), but he can only get the ones he planted and the ones that people give you everyday before the one year time limit of his game file comes

Tell him to buy a brand new NON FAKE cart. That's the best answer.

offtopic:Theres a one year time limit?
Topic: Yeah a fake cartrige wouldent be comepatible with Nintendos software if a rom was stored on it or not.
Thanks,
Aaron

Yes, a glitch made the berries unable to be planted and grow.

Well do you mean a year of game time (hopes) or a year of... a year?
Thanks,
Aaron

A year from when you turned on the cart for the first time. Its easy to get fixed though.

1. Transfering Jirachi over from Colosseum onto your Ruby/Sapphire cart.
2. (For the UK) Using Pokemon Channel and trading Jirachi over to your Ruby/Sapphire cart.
3. Using the Berry Update Program in Fire Red/Leaf Green. For an explination on how to do it this way, check here (http://www.serebii.net/red_green/berry.shtml).

rite.. so he cant do anything to his game now.. and his time is up . best thing he can do is hang onto those berries he got..
its good to know his pokemon wont increase speed after 1/3 of their hp goes down now ^_^
