You are at a concert and your ALL-TIME FAVOURITE BAND is playing and it's amazing and you're having an awesome time. You're with a friend and they have just thrown up or something and are pretty ill and should really be taken home. You're not attracted to them in any way. You can either stay and enjoy the show, not letting it mess your night up, or help them get out of there and take them home.

wat do??????

Me, enjoying a concert? Hahaha.
I'd take them home if they were in my charge (ex. if I drove us both there) and wanted to leave.

Why would attraction make any odds to the decision?

I like how you added that in this scenario I'm not attracted to them. That's very important.

I would take someone home if they couldn't get home on their own, or they were staying with me and I had the only key, or any other situation where they couldn't cope.

The only thing that would change my mind would be if they did something like drink a whole lot before going and then I'd be all "You made your bed now lie in it" and not have much sympathy because they weren't very thoughtful.

Uh, well considering how I am, I'd like to think I'd take them home. But knowing me, I'd probably force them to stay and enjoy the concert with me. Or at least for as long as they can handle. :\

My all time favorite band isn't big enough to have a concert. lol

I would definitely help them though. Do unto others blah blah blah.

Uh, take them home? What heck no. I don't really care, I'm having a good time and I'm not going to let them spoil my fun D:

But then again it depends on what's wrong, how ill they are and why they got that ill. Obviously if they really want to leave I'd take them - I'd be angry at them for making me miss the rest of the concert - But I'd take them home if they like really really wanted me too (Which of course would be unlikely because the people I'd bring to a concert that my all time favourite band is playing at will love them as well and not even wanna go)

Though I'd rather not take someone home if they were throwing up etc. if it was at a concert of my all time favourite band because that isn't something that comes up every day.

This has happened to me before! I was seeing Aerosmith (my all time favorite band) and I hadn't even heard my favorite song by them when my brother says he feels sick and that he can't breathe very well. Obviously, this was an issue seeing as how he has asthma and it was an outdoor venue so people were smoking....lots of things...and he looked ick. I was furious! I wanted to stay, but if he stayed he was going to get worse so we went home.

So while I was mad, I honestly would feel terrible not taking my friend/whomever home. If I was in their shoes, I'd hate it D: it's terrible feeling sick and just wanting to be home in your bed but you can't because you're out with some jerk who doesn't care.

tldr; I would take the sicky home so they could get rest :(

Okay so if I'm not attracted to them in any way at all, then I know who I'm not with!

I'll take the drinker home (I'm going to blame them and say they were drunk) and I will never go to a Kings of Leon concert with them ever again. v___v

I would take them home. Then ask them to help pay for a set of tickets for another concert. XD Actually, I wouldn't, but I would definitely see if I could go to another concert.

Yeah, I'd be pretty upset if I had already paid for the ticket, got there, and got all excited to see my favorite band... only to have to leave. But, this isn't really even a question to me. Of course I'd take them home. That's just the caring person in me - can't stand the thought of people close to me being in any kind of pain. ]:

This doesn't mean I might not make a snarky remark on the way home, but I'm sure I'd apologize for it later. I'm really bad about getting huffy with these types of situations and then regretting what I say...

I'd organize a ride for them to get home, but there is no way I'm missing out on the once-in-a-lifetime experience of a Britney Spears concert in New Zealand. I'd be wrestling with my conscience for a few minutes, but I think my desire for Britney would win out. That doesn't mean I wouldn't consider taking them home after I've seen at least half of the concert, though.

I'd ask someone else to take the person home, then remain behind to enjoy the rest of the concert.

Well you say it is a friend, so I wouldn't let them down, but since it is my fav band and I am STAYING, I'd give them some money for a cab or something, they know where they live tyvm.

I'd take them home, since I'm not a dick who cares more about a band than a friend.

I would take them home, of course. How much fun are you going to have there if your friend is ill and miserable anyway?

However, if we were driving and they threw up in my car, then they're on their own.

Depends which friend.

There are a few I'd just say suck it up and stay because that's what they'd say to me but others I'd take home.

Some responses are... yeah definitely not going out with some of you if that's the way you'd treat me if I was there. For those sending people home in a cab, consider the fact that there have been cases whe--okay let's not put too much reality into this situation. :x

Anyway!

I feel guilty easily and I'd feel terrible if I stayed in that situation (also noting the fact that in terms of movies/music/TV, anything that could fill that role wouldn't really matter to me tbh lol). Plus yeah if it were me I'd definitely want to be taken home and I'd literally feel like the worst person ever if I didn't help them out (totally relevant as proof, you should've seen my reaction when I stepped on a bug recently lool, yeaah dat guilt).

Either way, funny how some people value watching people they've never met perform than their friends...

Actually I just had another thought about this from reading Nica's post, re: the people who would send their friend home in a cab.

What you need to consider is that this would most likely take place at night time in a place not exactly just around the corner from your houses. You're basically leaving your friend alone and vulnerable - more vulnerable, considering he/she is ill - and you have no idea what could happen to them. They are alone, they could be assaulted or raped. The bottom line is it's not safe. I couldn't live with myself if something like that happened to a friend because I didn't want to miss out on seeing my favourite band.

But I must re-iterate, if they throw up in my car, they're on their own.

My all time favorite band broke up in the early '90's.

To avoid this person perhaps choosing me as their next target to throw up on, I'd probably escort them home.

Or maybe I can cheat and just escort them to the lobby and arrange a taxi to take them home, then go back and enjoy the rest of my night *evil smirk*

Ohhhhhh. I know how this will go with me. I'll get mad at them, and immediately start complaining to them about it. Then I'll complain some more, then I'll end up getting mad and I'll be silent for a few minutes. During that time, I'll be considering what I'd do and realize how horrible I'm being to them and that they didn't do this to inconvenience me. The guilt will eat at me. Then I'll apologize for being so horrible to them and take them home, visibly upset and silent along the way.

Not really Nica.

This has kinda happened to me before actually. I have been feeling under the weather and so have my friends at different gigs, but we don't go home. Seriously, I don't care how ill I am or my friends are because we will stay at this gig regardless, even if the ill party member has to go to the back.
All my friends and myself who go gigs go for a reason; we are dying to see this band play and we are not going to let one illness screw it up.

I know it sounds harsh, but in the world of metal, we man up and mosh our illness away! :D
