if you had a Pokémon (or more than one Pokémon) would you let it roam inside your house and your yard and have it on a leash when you go out in public, or would you keep your Pokémon in Pokéballs?

myself I would let my Pokémon roam...

Well for starters I'd never keep my Pokémon on a leash lol .. I'd keep it in its Pokéball on certain occasions but probably let it roam most of the time.

It depends on the Pokemon itself. If the Pokemon is very playful and runs away all the time, then I might keep it inside its Pokeball. Otherwise, I'd let them roam for a bit unless they don't really like being inside a Pokeball.

I'd let my Pokemon roam free if it doesn't like being in its Poke Ball. The only time I'd keep it in a Poke Ball is when it misbehaves.

For small, cute Pokemon I'd have them roam outside of their Poke Balls.

HG/SS showcased walking Pokemon well.

._. I'd (hopefully) own a Cherrim and if it wanted, it could have free range of my house, but I don't think it would much appreciate the Canadian weather, especially this time of year. I wouldn't be the type to go on a journey so it'd be stuck in the city with me. I imagine it proooobably wouldn't appreciate my lifestyle much so maybe it would prefer to stay in a pokéball.

Most of my other favourites aren't very house-safe because they are either on fire or they are too big to fit comfortably through any doors, haha. Whimsicott would be the same as Cherrim (well, maybe with its wool it'd be more okay with the winter) but Pichu are known for eating up wires and I have way too many precious electronics to trust something that is prone to electrical outbursts alone for any length of time.

It depends on if I can trust the Pokemon. Yes I would let all of my Pokemon roam around the house but when it comes to going outside, I am not going to allow my Froslass or Banette to roam outside without my supervision because Ghost type Pokemon are known to be mischievous which the both of them will cause a lot of trouble in my neighborhood.

Not in the house, because "house" means my 5m*4m room and the WG shared flat in general is no good idea either, because my flat mates wouldn't approve a living fictional creature running around. Public would be no problem, but I'm not out so often because of studies. So it's the ball.

Agreed.
It would take me some time to get to know the pokemon.

Depending on how big the Pokemon was and how close I am to it, I would most likely let them roam.

LOL, a Pokemon on a leash? Haven't seen that before, not even in the anime. XD

I would let only my most special Pokemon roam, but if that Pokemon is, say, a Wailord, then noooo...
Plus, I would need that Pokemon to prove to me that it likes me and it won't run away.
I think it'd be awesome to let a Pokemon roam around your house! But i'm not even allowed to let my dogs inside my house, let alone a Pokemon. But Pokemon seem to smarter and more "trained" in everything than real animals. Plus I think they understand human speech as well, so I think that might win over my parents and I'd be able to keep em inside my house!

I'd let my Absol roam, I'd never have the heart to keep it confined to a Pokeball. Plus its danger senses would help tremendously, especially since disasters don't happen often in Wales.

I'd probably have more trouble letting an Articuno roam around, so I'd have to create a tree house for it x.x

Probably a bit of both. Pokeballs when battling and stuff but just travelling they would all roam with me.

I would SO totally let it roam about... let it have some freedom, you know...

Great Question.
I would allow my Houndoom to roam but all the other pokemon I have would be too large and destructive in real life to be allowed free reign of the house. with the possible exception of Weavile and Lucario.

I would probably have to keep my Hydreigon in a Pokeball as they are very aggressive and have a tendancy to DESTROY EVERYTHING!

Them Pokemon be staying in their Pokeballs when outside. It's far too easy for them to bite/claw/zap/burn their way through a leash and attack people, and I'm not gonna be the one facing charges in court due to my Pokemon's negligence.

In my house, I'd let my Persian roam provided it's well behaved.

My Vulpix? Would always roam around.

My Nintales? Only outside if nobody else is at home.

Most other/bigger Pokemon would be in the balls, though.

I would let them roam. Having them inside their pokeball seems like slavery to me.

At home, probably roam around if it's not gigantic. Outside, I think it would depend where I am. Most of the time, if I'm just walking around, it would roam. If I'm at the movies or something, definitely in a Poke Ball.

Oh I would feel terrible putting them into a Pokéball. I'd feel terrible catching them in a Pokéball. I imagine I'd befriend Pokémon and ask them if they wanted to join me and live with me or adventure with me or whatever instead of throwing a Pokéball at it, and hurting it (the reaction Oshawott had to the Pokéball was highly cute, but goodness...), so I'd just let it roam around with me and hang out out of it's ball.
