This is a bit strange...

I can't seem to log out.

I press the 'Log Out' link at the top of the page, it says the usual about cookies being cleared, but when I go back to the forum index, I'm still logged in o.O;

Can someone help me with this?

Have you actually cleared out the cookies on your computer though? If you haven't then it may be your computer displaying the log-out screen, but not actually following through.

Could you explain that in more detail? I've never actually had a problem with my computer clearing cookies so I'm not too sure what to do. How can I check?

Go onto Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Disk Cleanup
This basically clears out cookies and temporary internet files.
When you open a particular site often enough, the files are downloaded onto your computer in order to speed up the loading process. What can also happen is that, due to the files being saved onto your computer, you are unable to log out as your computer continually reloads the logged-in information. Clearing the cookies enables a fresh start ^^

It normally takes just a few minutes depending on how many sites you've visited and when you last ran it etc.
Not long though ^^

Hmm..still no luck? The only other option i can think of is to run it again but sign off of the internet first so that the internet is restarted after you have cleared your cookies.
