What are Reputation Points for?

They are for to show how much population you have, but it isnt that, these days, but these days, they use it as nothing x.x, now this will be closed.

Rep is just a fun little extra that people like to abuse. Reputation means what others think of you. In the end, it doesn't really matter. Read the FAQ for more info on it.
