Technological Praetor is just what Jake likes to call himself. It used to be Necromancer Praetor, inspired by Fire Emblem. President (and Vice Pres.) are just ranks that Brittany and FG won back in November when everyone voted for them. Anything else that confuses you?

I'm still a Praetor, but me and Arcanine designated ourselves with Praetor types. As for president, did you miss the whole thing? Presidents are mods who have been voted to be by PC members.

what about this user?
http://www.pokecommunity.com/member.php?u=8131
why is his name in green?
is he a member of a special usergroup?
EDIT:
I just found it out, so forget about my question

Green italic is donators. =3As for president, did you miss the whole thing? Presidents are mods who have been voted to be by PC members.Uh, no. The president and vice president were voted on as members. Neither got modship because of their votes.

Actually I weeded out a lot of the redundant usergroups in the adminCP for my own convenience. XP But yeah, we do have a lot. Whenis the president thing over, anyways…

I don't think an end date, or a re-election, was ever thought of.

We should wait a bit till Summer than have a reelection...but that is just me.

Well the Prez thing should be over a year from getting made Prez (if it gets started up again then it should only last a year per member).

Forest Grovyle was a mod, JKaizer. Brittany wasn't. But she became one eventually....

FG became a mod during the campaigning I believe, actually. It's just coincidence (in a way) that both President and Vice President turned out to be staff members at some point. Although, most people who are selected as moderator end up with many of the qualities shown in a President that people vote for, so it's not too surprising. =x

Hmm...The Next Prez Election should be exclusive for Members (NO MODS)..
Cause Mods already have Advantages..

That was a much debated point, back in the day~

Just let mods run...somewhere along the line a non mod might get modded XD. Yeah, but when -is- the second one at least going into planning?

Brittany wasn't a mod until well after hte election. -.-
If anything, elections will be held next November.
/me wonder if I will be in charge again ;)

JA and I had the idea of having another election next year, but not getting rid of the last President for another year. Then PC would have two Prezzies rotating in and out every year.
That's when I came up with the fantastic idea of naming ourselves Consuls instead. Firstly, everyone(well, alot of people) think that I own PC. If I wasn't called President, that misconception would likely vanish.
Secondly, Consul goes with the two-leader idea. And when can Jake be Admined so we can free up the title Praetor for Vice Prezzies?
Consuls and Praetors are both temp leaders, so it would make a heck of a lot more sense.
...I'm probably rambling by now, ignore the post...
And to Bianca... wtf are you talking about? XD

Well-- Sorry to Disagree But this is really Stupid Britt. None of these are good!
And well This should be taken in the Mod Lounge.
Proof!
January 21st, 2005, 06:47 AM
Well we will just see the day you were elected, we we have an election before it, and then the new pres will take over on the day you were elected. This sound the easiest and the most logical.
Claire

Two presidents is a little excessive :s
One president is enough imo, and whenever the next election date is decided on it'd be cool to have different people (as in the current P and VP wouldnt enter) -that way PC can have a fresh face every time ^^
Brittany
January 22nd, 2005, 04:57 AM
Hmm, it almost seems as if this should be taken to the mod lounge, or possibly even the HQ, even though it's not a priority. Well, it seems like we're going back to my original idea(funny, I concepted this idea, then I get voted in..) of having one take over on election day, etc.
The problem is, election day is once every four years('twas in honor of the US elections). Should it be every one or two years instead?
Trent
January 22nd, 2005, 05:16 AM
@Brittany: That would be a better idea, I wouldn't want to wait 4 years for a new PC election, I'd perfer every year. But that's really up to the higher staff

I'd prefer a new president every year. I don't want anyone on PC pulling a John Howard on us...
And just out of curiousity, how did a topic about someone wanting to know about usergroups turned into a debate about the election?
Trent

Every year, because few of us will reach 4 years. ^^;; Besides... new blood! We need to give newer popular members a chance. ^^
Claire

Ya, four years is a long time in forum life ^^; forum life changes relatively quickly over even a period of a few months.
I'd go for every year or shorter (like 6/8months) ^^

CC - We have the right to voice our own opinion. If anything, your idea was stupid, moving it to the lounge.
I agree with the Praetor idea. Why not just call them Sub-Admins? o.O
Claire
January 22nd, 2005, 12:11 PM
The only thing with "sub-admin" is that it does make it sound as though they're quite far below an admin. They have as much access to the admincp (not as sure about jake?) as the regular admins (apart from steve, casey, and kwesi), just that they don't have a site.
Spectrum
January 22nd, 2005, 12:14 PM
Well, why not let Jake and Andy be Admins, while the rest of the Admins are Community Leaders/S(uper)-Admins/something? o.O
Koroku
January 22nd, 2005, 04:40 PM
That idea was tried, back when Abby first got adminship and then got shot down. o.o
They didn't like it, so Abby went down to the "Abby" usergroup.
As for the election, the 1st Tuesday in November each year is a great time to do it. ^_^;; I want to run it again~ 6 months really isn't long enough. :S
...and as far as I know, Skun has basically everything in the admincp, minus like... vBOptions or something? Or Usergroups? He's missing like 1 or 2 :P
...bleh

I quite like the admin and s-admin/comm. leader idea ^^
It puts less emphasis on their different accesses since there isn't really all that much difference apart from the site aspect
Koroku
January 23rd, 2005, 12:39 AM
Steve turned that idea down awhile ago though...
And we all know how stubborn he can be...
