Hey, everyone. :) New here, decided to make an account after browsing random threads for a few hours. xD How is everyone this fine evening? Or morning, depending on where you are in the world. :) Feel free to ask me anything.

Hi Levis, welcome to the forum! What kind of things are you interested in? It'd be useful to get an idea of what you're into so we know where to direct you next! c: Personally I reccomend checking out Pokemon General Discussion (http://www.pokecommunity.com/forumdisplay.php?f=17) or Pokemon Clubs (http://www.pokecommunity.com/forumdisplay.php?f=24) if you're looking to talk about Pokemon; they're both areas full of friendly faces that'll talk about pretty much anything you could think of that relates to Pokemon, plus you'll meet tonnes of new friends there! Make sure you read the rules and ask a member of staff if you need any help; we're right here if you need anything. c: Hope to see you around tonnes!

Thank you! :D I read the rules earlier, along with the FAQ. Didn't wanna seem too nooby ;) I wasn't too sure on the whole "rom hacking" view of the website, though? :o I've seen links from other sites (mentioning ROM hacking, links from hacks come to these forums) and such. You spell tons differently than I do. From Australia, UK, NZ? :P

UK c: With the ROM hacking site I'm not really the ideal person to explain it, but from the best of my knowledge it's an area where people take the old games (eg a Fire Red rom), load them up in a map editor/scripting engine, then they change certain features about the game to make it different or sometimes even make it a completely new game. It could be anything from adding in new Pokémon that they've designed, adding new places to the map, changing how things evolve (eg Pokemon like Machoke evolving by level rather than trade) and similar things to that. So if this sounds interested to you, I suggest taking a look at some of the hacks in the Hacks Showcase (http://www.pokecommunity.com/forumdisplay.php?f=184) and hopefully you'll get a better idea of what it is. c:
