I would have to say the hardest person I've faced is a 3-way tie between Cyber Errol on Jak 3, Dr. Nefarious on Ratchet and Clank: Up Your Arsenal, and Albel Nox on Star Ocean... O.O

Cubia in .Hack//Mutation. But I got him after leveling up a bit. Also, without leveling up, Baal in Diablo II expansion was pretty tough.

Some on the Ninja Gaiden ones on very hard come to mind. Alma is a pain if you don’t have much healing stock by the time you reach her.
Omega on FF8 was fairly challenging, but he had a rhythm you could master. Genra on DOA 3 was just…cheap, stupid even.
That’s all I can think of at the moment, but will think more~

Ozma in FFIX was genuinely challenging, due to the lack of doomsday attacks that are available in every other post-FFVI game (Omnislash, Lionheart, Oblivion, Delta Attack, etc).
Square should take note and not include them in FFXIII either.

It was just…quick. Either way, he’ll kill you, or you’ll kill him, really quick. There was still some cheapness (Like Steiner with shock) and since his HP was so low, you didn’t have to survive for that long, anyways. But lack of quick leveling and multi-hitters did make it different, at least.

I would have to agree, the hardest boss I had to fight was Alma from Ninja Gaiden. The first time I fought Alma, I thought "Ok let me get this over with.", how wrong I was... XD, good thing she wasn't nearly as hard the secound time around.

Sephiroth from Kingdom Hearts was ridiculously difficult. I got past his attack that brings your HP and MP down to 1, but when he's at 2/3 of his health, he starts using attacks that are almost impossible to dodge. Plus, he doesn't forget about his other attacks and makes sure to play keep-away from you while you're getting hit. Then he doesn't give you anything (except for XP, which you don't need anymore at this point) for killing him!
Redrum from Xenogears was difficult if you didn't have three hours to sit and wait for non-combos to kill him. This is due to his killing off whoever hits him with a Death Blow. And there was NO WAY TO DEFEND AGAINST IT! Pretty much, if you're going to fight him, make sure you have the entire day to do so. (Murder is Redrum and Redrum is Murder... Heh heh...)
I'll post more soon.

Sephiroth fro Kingdom Hearts we very difficult. He has almost no boss rhythm or pattern, because he switches his pattern up all the time. Its difficult to fight him cause you kind of have to keep up with non-stop healing and all. i still havent beaten him, but ive come so darn close.
Anyway can I talk about a video game in general that was hard? Rocket Knight Adventures for Sega Genesis.... it was this weird quirky platformer (about an oppossum knight in shining armor wish a rocket strapped to his back) that was so cool but no one played it i think >.> i recommend if you have a Genesis. But anyway it was one of those types of games that you wonder how you ever played as a kid (cause now that my reflexes are dumbed down from too much rpgs, i cant play this game past like... the fourth level or so >.>)

Albel Nox: defeated. It took me a while to figure out to use Blade Of Fury over and over. I sorta accidentaly beat him because my little brother smashed my finger on the circle button at the last second.
Dr. Narfarious: defeated. He was a little hard, but I killed him with my trusty Decimator in the end. Now I am stuck on the Biobliterator!
Cyber Errol: defeated. I don't know how, though... I am now stuck on the Dark Maker Dragon!

I disagree with Sephiroth. I usually “use” him to gain my last 40 or so levels, since he always gives you enough to level off of. Fastest way to level.
All of his “unavoidable” attack can be dodged by using a move like Strike Raid for the duration of them. Not necessary, but it helps if you’re having trouble.
And Albel really wasn’t that difficult, IMO. XP

Sigma in X3 and 4 is HARD. I finally did it in 4 with Zero after many years~

Actually, he doesnt change his pattern. He was hard at first. But the I learned his pattern and used it against him. After the first couple of fights, I knew his every move, and when he was going to do them.

I had a lot of trouble with sephiroth in KH too ._.; It took me about 20 tries, but I finally did it.. it was just that one attack that took ALL your HP and MP if you didn't have Second Chance equipped. you only have so many elixirs you can use. O_O;
he probably wasn't my hardest though, except I can't really remember anything else that was. there were some others in kingdom hearts that I made me want to throw my controller into my TV T_T;; like ursula and oogie boogie... but nothing was ever really a big deal if you just learned their tactics, and maybe leveled up before trying to beat them again.
I can't remember anything else... o_O; I remember a lot of frustration at video games in general, I just can't remember where it came from...

In Mortal Kombat Deception I had a lot of trouble fighting Scorpion during the final battle of Konquest mode. Mostly because I forgot how to do most of Shujinko's combos (most of konquest mode you play as other peeps), so it took a while before realizing the up+triangle and down + triangle attacks were a godsend. Then again he had this nasty habit of landing breakers, and blocking my attacks, so I spent almost an hour trying to defeat him. =(
Luca Blight was a pain in the booty to take down in Suikoden II. Fortunately you had three teams of six people to use against him (he's a lot harder than the final boss; which was abnormally easy to defeat.)

Have YOU tried to fight him with no healing items of any sort, low health, AND an annoying, hyped up little brother pounding on your fingers? He sprained both of my thumbs and my index fingers.
I am now stuck in the Sealed Cavern. Does anyone know where to find a Hammer?

Hmm, no, but that was cause I was prepared. Still, all bosses in that game are designed so you can theoretically defeat them without taking damage. Furthermore, all of those battles are usually quite short. So yeah, that’s just my opinion, glad to hear you got through. ^_^;

Uber Diablo from the game Diablo II LoD. Appears only on battle.net realms and usually takes half an hour for eight of the best players of the realm to defeat him. Almost all of them die at least once. If those are hardcore players, they would take up to four hours to defeat the Uber. It would be impossible for only one player to defeat him because Diablo heals himself constantly.

That was kinda my point though. His HP is about 55,000 as far as I know, but with the lack of doomsday limit breaks and skills it evens-out the battle a bit. Unlike in FFVII and VIII where you're tackling 1,000,000 HP+ enemies with your 150,000 damage-inducing limits. >_<
Ozma pretty much floored you if he cast Meteor though. Petty, random damage when cast by Vivi. Enormous, 1-hit-kill ownage when used by some round, globe thing.
Another difficult side-boss: Penance from FFX. Just when you thought Dark Magus Sisters and Dark Anima were the pinnacle of bosses in that game...

I never got to play FFX-i ;_;
As for Ozma, yeah…but if you –do- pull off 9999 hits, it’s only about five or six you need. And there are ways too. Yeah he’s challenging in a much different way from most mega FF bosses. Myraids of status effects you can’t completely counter, fast, powerful, if not a bit HP lacking.

One of the perks of living in Europe: we sometimes get some bonus stuff added to our late releases. :bandit:
Most of Ozma's status spells could be countered using Quina's Angel's Snack. I just cycled through attacks, Shocks, Frog Drops and Curagas until he fell. Most of the attempts before that had me walking away wondering if he was even beatable.
FFVIII's Omega Weapon was probably more difficult if truth be told - if only for the fact that he had two of the cheapest attacks ever. XD

The hardest boss/person my brother's faced is Big Show on SmackDown! Here Comes The Pain. He lost to him in about 43 matches. Of course, he was using Rey Mysterio. I came in as an interference, knocked the ref out, and hurt Big Show bad enough my brother would have had an easy win. That is, if he had gotten the pin first. Big Show pinned him, and he still cries over that time.

I don't know, but I think you have to take damage on every boss. I got down to my last strand of life before I defeated the giant Protopet on Ratchet and Clank: Going Commando.
