The Pokémon Academy

Julia stood in isolation, alone in the middle of the sturdy stage. The black drapes began to move with the wind, as did her soft, silky hair. She quickly sprawled her neck behind her, the window had been opened up from earlier on, and still wasn’t closed. She realized that she wasn’t allowed to be up so late at the academy, considering it was her first year there, but it was as if she were oblivious from her surroundings. She walked out into the dark halls, only lit up by small lanterns. The floor was a dark orange, almost red color that flickered with the lights. She crept up the stairs to a large hall… The walls a deep beige, the floor a bland brown, and an ivory statue of a young lady in the middle of the hall, with a ditto standing by her side. Julia smiled, hearing only the sound of the buzzing lights. It was often very noisy in that hall, she was surprised to see the lack of people on the balconies, handing into the hall… Regardless, she knew the quiet were not to last for long, she heard the loud clops of heels, coming down the hall. She jolted into the closest hall, following her steps back to her dorm, and jumped into it, slamming the door loudly behind her… After looking up, she found a girl about her age, studying, deep within her books.

“Hey Naru!” She said, greeting her room mate.

“It’s so quiet out there… A teacher almost caught me though!” She told Naru, sounding very adventurous, even though she knew Naru didn’t enjoy being disturbed while she studied.

Naru looked up from her books and rolled her eyes to Julia.
"Your going to get yourself in a mess of trouble one day... you do know that right?", she asked her glance turning back to her book. Her light brown hair fell on to the book and she brushed it away. "You should really be studying too," she added not bothering to look up from her book.

[Skye]

Skye fell asleep almost instantly after finishing her homework. She took a sad look at her father's picture on her desk, and drifted into dreamland with Agile by her side.

Her dreams were not filled with pelasantries that night. Invisible, vicious monsters snapped at her heels, chasing her in a dark forest. Agile must have been experiencing similar dreams, becuase she was squirming around just as much as Skye.

Just before she awoke, Skye felt the invisible monster catch her, its claws digging into her, trying to bring her with it...and she bolted upright in her bed with a loud scream. Clamping her hands over her mouth, and looking over at Anna to see if she had waken her, Skye got out of bed, and readied herself for the day quickly.

After a warm shower, Skye pulled on a pair of jean overalls with a purple tee shirt beneath it. She dried her hair, and put her long, blond locks up in a ponytail, grimacing at her reflection as she passed the mirrror hurriedly. Tying her purple converse sneakers hastily, she grabbed her books, motioned for Agile to follow, and left the room, making her way down to breakfast.

"Did you have nightmares last night too?" Skye asked Agile softly, noticing the little Pikachu yawn.

"Chu..." Agile nodded groggily.

"Gosh...they were terrible," Skye said, turning her attention back to the direction they were heading. She sat down at a table sleepily, and ordered some breakfast. She twirled a pencil around with her fingers absently, trying to wake herself up.

“Okay, so you may have a tiny point there…” Julia replied to Naru, lying down in her bed.

“But for what? I’m in the drama program, there’s nothing to study for…” She assured her friend, twisting her hair around her finger, gazing out the window, staring up at the moon. Naru didn’t seem to care for the argument anymore. Satisfied, as always, Julia absent-mindedly drifted into sleep…

Ali woke up, very well rested. He continuously dug his head further and further into the mattress, trying to escape from his consciousness. He finally felt Princess on his back, feeling restless herself. He laughed, and quickly jumped out of bed, taking a brisk shower. He looked outside to see the weather very neutral-not too bright, not too dark… So he dug through his closet, and found a very large, white, hooded shirt. He put on a pair of baggy jeans, and slipped on the hooded shirt after putting on an undershirt, his fingers barely managed to show through the sleeves. He remembered preparing his bag for the next day the previous night, so he picked it up, put it around his shoulder, combed back his hair, and walked out the door to the dining hall, where he ordered breakfast, and managed to spot Skye. Princess galloped quickly towards Skye’s table first, as usual. She jumped onto the top of the table, smiling happily at Skye and Agile. Ali took his time catching up, and took a seat by skye, greeting her.

[Skye]

"Hey, Ali," she said sleepily, suppressing a yawn. "Sleep well?"

She took a few bites of her cereal, feeling very tired, and looked over at Agile, who was also very sleepy. Doing her best to loook and sound awake, Skye pet Princess as she leapt up on the table to greet them.

All the while, Skye could not stop thinking about her nightmares last night. They were so...creepy, which, she supposed, all nightmares were...but still...

Yes, you read right! I am bringing back one of the most played RP ever! I forgot who made it way back when, but it's copyrighted to that person, ok it was Houndoom (no clue what username now or if he is still here XD)


It has been *insert year here* since the close of the Violet City Pokémon Academy. Police have passed off any reports there and the school has been reopened. Kids seem to flock from everywhere, including Hoenn. Here you will take courses to learn more about pokémon. The buliding has many new rooms and new classes. You must report to the Grand Hall to recive your Pokémon, Books, and dorm room numbers.

EDIT: You can control up to two ppl if you can keep them active, and if I know what type of RPer you are you may use three.

I am gonna post what 'grade' your in when I figure it out, I just know the freshman one 'cuz I am suposed to be in 9th grade, or freshman..........

Nat awoke suddenly. She found herself drenched in a cold sweat. Ruby was gazing down at her, it's gaze worried. Nat wiped her brow and smiled. "It's okay. I was only having a nightmare. The one about Tim...." she trailed off.

Nat quickly showered and threw on a pair of light blue jeans and a pink long-sleeved tee. She slid her still damp feet into a pair of pink flip flops and grabbed her bag. While walking down the hall, she pulled her black curls back in a pink bandana. All she wanted to do was forget. Forget about Tim, about the nightmares, about what she'd been through.

As soon as they entered the hall, Nat spotted Skye and Ali. Instead of rushing to the table, Ruby faithfully stuck with Nat as she ordered an order of hashbrowns. She wasn't all that hungry. Then, she walked over to the table where her friends sat. She took the vacant seat next to Skye, thinking bitterly to herself that Anna would be down soon anyways.

She greeted her friends with a sigh and watched Ruby go to work on her hashbrowns with much less vigor than usual. Nat could tell it was still worried, so she stroaked it's soft head. Ruby smiled and continued eating.

“Heh, I slept pretty well,” He replied to Skye, spotting Nat.

“Hey Nat!” He said with a smile on his face, trying to pretend as if he didn’t hear anything that Skye had told him.

Julia woke up in her white tank-top, and her tight black flared pants. Looking around, she saw Naru, sleeping on top of her books. Julia pitied her, she always tried so hard, even though she really didn’t need to… Her first class was dance, so she grabbed the pokeball which contained her Lombre, and walked out the door, hoping Naru wouldn’t be late for her class…

[Anna-chan]

Anna yawned unhappily walking into the room over to Ali and taking a seat next to him.
"Ugh... I've got to learn to do homework AFTER classes... not at 3AM...", she sighed. Leo came trotting in behind his trainer and shook his head.
"Vee.... Eevee!", he snapped to Anna. Anna just shot a look to her pokemon and absentmindedly slumped onto Ali's shoulder.

"Jolt! Jolteon!!!", Sparks, Naru's Jolteon cried shocking Naru.
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!", she screamed, snapping out of her sleep. She looked to see she had fallen asleep on her breeding book. She then looked to the clock and her eyes flew open.
"ACKKKK! I'm going to be late for class!", she gasped recalling Sparks and she quickly changed and flew out of her dorm.

Seeing Anna slump onto Ali's shoulder put Nat in a fowler mood. She looked at the two. Why fight it? They obviously belong together.... she thought to herself as she shifted her food around her plate. Her fingers strayed yet again to her scar.

The flashback came quickly. The dark room, Tim, the pain and agony. She snapped herself out of it, and found herself to be in another cold sweat. Quite embarassed, and looking for any excuse to get away from Anna and Ali, Nat quickly excused herself from the table and raced out of the dining hall. Ruby followed at her heels.

[Skye]

Skye amiled as Nat joined them. She tried her best to shake off her uneasy feelings, the nightmares still lingering in her mind. Putting her spoon down in her bowl, the last of the cereal safely in her stomach, she got up and pushed her chair in gently.

"I'll see you guys later," she said softly, feeling somewhat melancholy. Agile seemed to match her mood, as her movements were slow and lethargic.

Skye shouldered her book bag and headed off to class. They all seemed to pass in a great blur today. Battle tactics passed slowly. Skye remembered nodding off a few times, but the Professor seemed not to notice. Agile was asleep in Skye's lap the whole time, until it was time to do some practice battles. Skye faced off with two other trainers; one with a water type, and the other with a grass type, so she could see the differences in the two. The Squirtle was a cinch to beat, while the Chikorita was diffecult to take down. Skye was happy to have beat him though, since Agile was at a disadvantage.

Mythology, which Skye was usually very keen on, seemed rather dull today. Since she had read ahead, the lecture was only a repeat of the textbook, and she felt herself nodding off once more.

All the classes until lunch passed in the same fashion, but with an hour off for lunch, Skye decided to take a power nap. Locking her door behind her, closing the shades, and dimming the lights, she fell into a deep sleep.

Her alarm clock woke her in time to get to her next class. She gathered her things, and decided to leave Agile behind. For some reason, she looked really tired, almost sickly, but some good rest should cure her of that...

Skye went down to the cafeteria, feeling strange without Agile by her side. She sat down at the usual table, sipping absently at her cup of lemon tea.

Julia walked out the dining hall, seeing Naru dash through the halls.

“I’m guessing she woke up late…” She told herself, walking calmly to class. She

was immediately informed of an audition, taking place at 7 in the evening at the drama studio, the place she’d been in the previous night. Julia was very excited to hear this! The chances of getting a part were slim--she wasn’t even aware of what parts there were to audition for.

“I’ll just check it out, and wing the audition!” She told her dance teacher,
Professor Kira.

“Don’t worry, me during lunch for more details!” Professor Kira told Julia, excited
to hear how enthusiastic she was about it… Before she could stop thinking about the future audition, class was over. Now was when Julia’s next class took place--theatre! Dittos were often suggested as a pokemon for the class, but there were not very many where Julia’s home was, back in Ollivine. She was obligated to work with her Marill instead. Lunch soon rolled in, and Julia pounced to the dining hall, hoping to tell Naru about the audition.

Lunch had soon arrived, and Ali managed to seek-out Skye. Princess ran up to Skye, as usual. Ali took a seat beside her, just as he did earlier that day.

“How’ve you been doing?” He asked her, seeing how tired she looked.

[Skye]

"I'm just so tired..." she told Ali. She shut up then, because she hated to whine.

Looking down at her plate, she scruffed Princess in greeting, and Agile cuddled up on Skye's lap. Skye glanced over at Ali, unsure of a lot of things.

"Have you seen Nat at all today since breakfast?" she asked gently. "I'm a little worried about her..."

occ:hey. i going out of town for a long time and there is no computer were i going. i say about 2 weeks the most. so while i gone could one of you guys powerplay over my chaatacter while i gone. i would apreciate it. (My character name is mike)

ic:"man class has been hard!!! rigth charmelon" charmelon just nodded and did not give a care. we walk down the hall to get lunch. and we saw skye and ali down the hall and they look like the were talking so won't say hi to them. maybe because i was tried after spending half af the nigth doing homework. so we just went on to get lunch.

Nat appeared and heard her name mentioned. "What was that?" she asked hollowly, taking a seat by Skye and pointedly leaving the seat next to Ali open again. She didn't bother ordering anything, as she wasn't hungry. She pulled out a bag of Pokepellets for Ruby. It wasn't fair to make her suffer after all.

She sighed and gazed absently around. Her pale fingers strayed yet again to the scar under her chin. She managed to keep her cool this time, but Ruby immediatly stopped eating. It looked up at Nat, it's gaze full of worry and sadness. Nat patted Ruby's head, but the touch held none of Nat's usual affection and reassurance. It was like she was just going through the motions.

[Skye]

Skye looked over at Nat worriedly, but decided not to press the issue. She finished the last of her lunch, and sat back, feeling a little anti-social. Her gaze came to fix upon Ali, and she wondered if there was anything she could do...

Of course, there was not. She knew that she shouldn't meddle in such things, no matter how much she wanted Nat to be happy. Besides, she was friends with all of them, and Anna was her roommate.

Skye got up from her chair, the sudden sound startling to her, even though she was the one who made it. She looked over at Nat with a great deal of sorrow. There was something she was hiding, and Skye wanted so desperately to help make it better.

And Agile...Skye hoped nothing was wrong with her...

"I'm going to go check on Agile," she said softly. "Want to come with me, Nat? You don't mind us leaving, do you Ali?"

She hoped Ali wouldn't be offended by her just inviting Nat along. Skye wanted to talk to Nat, because something more was wrong than just a broken heart.

The scar beneath Nat’s chin quickly caught Ali’s eye. He was confronted by Skye, soon after.

“Oh-yeah, I don’t mind at all…” He told her, some-what aware of what Skye needed to talk to Nat about.

Nat slowly rose, a bit worried about Agile. "Is Agile alright?" she asked with a bit more felling than before. Ruby turned it's ebony eyes to Skye, hoping it's new friend was okay.

They left the dining hall, and with a final, sorrowful look back at Ali, Nat turned to Skye. "I studied under a Nurse Joy when I was 10, maybe there's something I can do to help." she said, hoping it wasn't serious. Nat always had a special knack for healing Pokemon.

Looks:no-one knows what exactly he looks like, he wears a huge leather trenchcoat, the edge of it which drapes all the way down to his feet, under it he wears what appears to be form fitting black armour, which shows off his quite muscular chest, he wears black gauntles put onto the end of the trenchoat sleeves so that no skin is revealed, wears large black pants with huge boots of the same colour, his pokeballs are stored as a huge necklace draped loosely around his neck, he wears a full black face-mask with 2 red triangular eyes, his silver hair is short around the front, but goes back in a thin long ponytail all the way down to his knee-level, he also wears a very big, wide-rimmed black hat, that shades his already masked face and shoulders from public view.

personality:the quiet loner, talks to few, listens to less, tends to do things his way or not at all, cares little for others around him and just wants to become a better battler, he is not outwardly rude, but he mostly doesnt pay attention to people talking to him unless he thinks they are saying something of any interest.

People were starting to make a commotion around the front of the academy, the most intimdating person ever, dressed completley in black, was walking slowly down the path to the front gate, a small crowd had gathered around him as he walked, seemingly very curious as to this very worrying looking arrival, he looked up from the brim of his hat and looked around at the now speedily forming group of people.

"....Fools..they are wasting their time looking at me when they could be training themselves and their pokemon to perfection..." he mumbled to himself in a dark, foreboding tone

as he reached the gates, a girl stepped out and stood in front of him, he seemed to look at her like she was some alien being before she spoke.

"Hi! im with the pokemon academy's welcome service, I see your new so Id just like to give you a big hello to the academy!" she said happily.

"...Fine... now stand aside, I have instructors to see and techniques to learn.." with that he dissapeared into the academy and walked down the hallways, leaving the girl looking quite suprised.

"How Rude of him!" she said suddenly, before walking off.

(heh, every school needs their lone-wolf right? :) )

[Skye]

"That would be great," Skye said to Nat, her happiness slowly returning. "I think Agile's got a flu or something."

She unlocked the door to her room, and Agile lay on her bed, still asleep. Skye knelt at her side, and felt Agile's head. It was really warm.

"What do you think?" she asked worriedly, making room for Nat to examine Agile. She bit her lower lip nervously. Agile had never been ill before...

[Mew13]

Nat opened up her bag and pulled out a 1st aid kit. With Ruby's help, Nat examined Agile. She had a temp of 105, a bit above the usual Pikachu. She took out a voltage meter and examined Agile's power levels. They were normal. After a bit of poking and proding the sickly Pikachu, Nat rose to Skye's level.

"It's the flu alright," she said. "Lucky you caught it early, or this could have been serious." She rummaged about in her kit again and pulled out a bottle of shimery green liquid. "Give this to Aglie tonight and tomorrow morning," she instructed. "Aglie should be back to normal by tomorrow evening."

Nat then turned to Ruby. "Thank you, Chancey!" she kidded. This was a standing joke between the two. Although today, Nat didn't even smile about it.

[The Pokemaster]

Meanwhile, Dex was moving into his room, it didnt take him long with his Abra, Merlin's help, he had psychicly applied the black paint, and put up the quite evil looking posters depicting pokemon in very serious battles, the bed had been removed in place of a meditation area in the corner, the lights dimmers were on very low, and the windows were closed, the blinds closed and the curtains drawn, eery music played out of the cd-player on the cabinet in the opposite corner, Dex looked up to his loyal and long-lived pokemon and nodded.

"Its perfect in my opinion.." he said calmly

the words seemed to form in Dex's head as his Abra answered back in his mind

"yes...ive heard that the colour black goes with everything..."

"Its about time I explored the area, and met the nuisances that my room is now next to, you may stay here and meditate if you wish.

the abra just nodded slowly and sat on the smaller cushion in the meditation corner as Dex left out of the newly black-painted door, he had only gone a couple rooms down when he spotted a few trainers looking over a sick pikachu, interested, he entered slowly.

"Is there some sort of problem here with the pokemon?..." he said slowly.

[Mew13]

Nat shot upright. She thought she had closed the door behind her. "No," she said briskly. "Everything is fine here."

The look of this new guy creeped Nat out a bit, and it brought memories of Tim up to the surface. She fought to stuff them back inside her mind. She couldn't help trace her scar yet again.

Sparks exploded fron Ruby's cheeks. Nat knew her Raichu was not fond of strangers and was being extra protective, considering the state Nat was in.

[The Pokemaster]

Dex looked at the pikachu, noticing its condition, and then took a quick clance at the Raichu in an aggressive stance, he then looked up at Nat

"If this Raichu is yours, I suggest you train it to be more accepting of people.." he said seriously and then walked over to the pikachu.

"Unusual, Id say flu, not very good for a pikachu, and it seems quite severe, is there anyone in this academy trained for this kind of situation?" he said while looking around the room.

[Mew13]

"I've taken care of it," Nat said, heat rising in her cheeks. She cuffed a strand of curly black hair behind her ears and said hotly, "And you shouldn't be saying anything about Ruby and I. As you have no idea what we've been through!"

She walked over to Agile and carefully picked it up, administering the mediacation herself. She then handed the weak Pokemon to Skye. She glared at the newcomer, her green eyes blazed. Ruby stopped the sparks, but still looked on him with menace.

[The Pokemaster]

Dex tipped his hat brim down over his masked face and started to walk slowly out of the room.

"Whatever youve been through, it is no excuse to have your pokemon behaving like some wild animal, but as long as it doesnt distract me from becoming stronger, then I have no problem with it...good day" with this he walked out the door and down the hall way to look around the rest of his new surroundings.

[Mew13]

Wild Animal!? Nat thought. I'll show him a wild animal! How dare he insult Ruby like that!

Ruby looked hurt at the put down, and Nat rushed to comfort it. "There there, love." she crooned. "He doesn't know, he doesn't understand. How could that ingrate know about Mom and Dad, Ali, or Tim. How could he know how we've been hurt?" She continued like this for awhile, and it seemed that she was comforting herself as much as Ruby. She sighed.

[Skye]

Skye walked over to Nat, Agile in her arms securely. She put a hand on Nat's shoulder reassuringly.

"Don't let him get to you," she told her softly. "He doesn't know what he is talking about. And thank you so much for taking care of Agile."

She smiled. Agile spoke a soft "chu," in thanks, and Skye put her on the bed gingerly. She sat down on the floor beside Nat at Ruby, leaving Agile to sleep. Now or never was the best time to ask. Skye would do anything to pull Nat and Ruby from their state of unhappiness. They had been through so much together all ready.

"Hey, Nat..." she began slowly. "I'm sorry for being so...so blunt with you...but that scar under your chin. How...?"

She bit her lower lip. She was never very good at asking questions she was not comfortable asking, but hopefully, she could help resolve the unhappiness in Nat's heart.

[Mew13]

Nat sighed. This wasn't going to be easy. She looked down at Ruby, and then started her tale.

"It was about a year ago, now," she started. "I met a guy, Tim, and he seemed like the most perfect guy I'd ever met. He bought me flowers for no reason and was always ready to listen to me. I was head over heels for him.

"Well, he wasn't as wonderful as I thought he was. He got in a jealous rage one night. Not over another guy or anything, but over Ruby. He thought I spent too much time with her.

"Needless to say, we got into an argument. I found him beating Ruby the next day. It was the most aweful thing I'd ever seen. He was crouched over her bleeding form. I could hear Ruby wimper. She was hurt badly, and I knew it.

"Then, he turned on me. His eyes blazed with an inner fire I'd never seen before. He pulled a knife out of his coat and began to threaten me. He cursed me and Ruby, then slashed me. Right under my chin."

She finished her tale, and bent down to Ruby. She clutched the Raichu to her and sobbed. The memories were aweful. She hardly remembered her own pain. It was all about saving Ruby.

"For awhile, we thought we'd lost my Ruby. I was so scared-" she broke off, unable to say any more.

[Skye]

Skye moved closer to Nat and put her hand on her quivering shoulder. Everything began to connect...why she was so heartbroken over Ali, her distant-ness today. It all made sense. Skye felt awful for making her cry, but she was glad to know the problem, and maybe help to fix it.

"Gosh, that's terrible," she said softly, looking at Ruby sadly. "I'm so sorry that happened to you. It should never happen to anyone..."

She trailed off and decided that silence was perhaps the best form of support. She got up off the floor, and went into her desk drawer, pulling out a bar of chocolate. She handed it to Nat.

"Here," she said gently, trying to smile, to brighten the mood a little. "Chocolate always helps me when I'm upset."

[Mew13]

Nat managed to smile through her tears. She was so lucky to have Skye as a friend. To be honest with herself, she knew she wouldn't have been able to make it through the year without her.

"Thanks Skye," she said, taking the chocolate. "I'm sorry. I was over it, I really was. That is untill this whole Ali thing came about. It just brought back so many painful memories...." she sobbed again.

"This is stupid!" she said suddenly. "I shouldn't be brooding like this. I'm only dragging you and all the others down...."

[Skye]

"Everyone has down time," Skye assured her. "And it's okay. I don't mind. Just like how we helped each other through before, I can help you through this now. As best I can."

She patted Nat gently on the back, looking at Ruby softly. Deep down, Skye had a feeling that she and Nat would be friends for a very long time. She could picture them thirty years down the road, sitting on her front porch, drinking tea and talking about old memories at the Academy. Agile and Ruby would be talking non-stop...

Smiling at the memory, Skye got to her feet, and checked on Agile. Her fever had gone down a little, and Skye considered being absent for the rest of her classes that day, but Agile told her not to. With a quick hug for Agile, Skye returned to Nat, carrying her books for her next class.

"Did the chocolate help?" she asked grinning.

Dex walked down the hallways towards his first class, he looked as emotionless as ever, and on either sides of the corridors, people he passed had a tendency to back away or pretend not to look at him. He was paying them no attention, the classroom was his destination, and he wasnt going to be distracted, he rounded the corner and found the door where the others were waiting for the same class's door to open, he went to one side of the door, the opposite side of the way it opens, and leaned against the wall, arms-folded, some of the crowd started to back away, turn around to their groups or just plain look worried, he closed his eyes and awaited the start of the class.

"these peons had better not ruin my learning to become a strong trainer" he thought inside his head to himself.

"Yes," Nat said, chomping down the last of the chocolate. She reached over to her bag and pulled out a small silver box. Opening it, she revealed many colored Pokeblocks. She picked out a pink one and gave it to Agile, and then a purple one went down Ruby's never ending pit of a stomach.

"Wanna walk to class together?" Nat asked Skye as she rose from the ground. "I've got Mythology next, and then Art. What do you have?"

The thought of art made Nat's stomach churn. She only had the sketch of Ruby made, and that wouldn't be good enough for Professor Daisy. It was an okay sketch, but her emotional state clouded her artistic ability. She sighed and decided one bad grade wasn't going to make or break her grade.

Turning back to Skye, she awaited her answer, hoping she would accept. For some reason, she had trusted Skye enough with this secret. She hadn't told anyone about Tim before. Not even her parents knew....

"I have physics next," Skye replied, a little disappointed that they didn't have the same class. "Maybe I will see you after? I have capturing sims, then fitness and then literature. If not, I'm sure I'll see you at dinner."

Skye was glad to see Nat was feeling a little better. Ruby seemed to cheer up a little too. Shouldering her book bag, Skye headed towards the door, waiting for Nat to follow.

"I'll see you later," she told Nat, locking her door carefully. "Cheer up, okay? What happened in the past is over, and it won't happen to you again if I have anything to say about it!"

She smiled at Nat reassuringly.

Nat smiled, glad for the reassurance. She and Ruby headed down the opposite hall and went into the Mythology classroom.

Professor Chan was pleased with her essay. He rated it and "A" and read it to the class. With her cheeks much redder than when she had entered, she left for Art.

As expected, Professor Daisy was quite dissapointed in the sketch of Ruby. She rated it a "C", the lowest grade Nat had ever earned. Her cheeks now burned even more as she went to Capturing Simulations.

This class went quite well. She managed to sucessfully capture a Zigzagoon simulation without depleating Ruby's power levels. She was making progress.

Her last class, fitness, went surprisingly well. They did a series of trust exercises with partners and even meditated a bit. The teacher informed them that spiritual fitness is just as important as physical fitness. This was certainly a nice change.

Realizing she had awhile before dinner, Nat raced to her room. She dove under her bed and pulled out a red colored box. She then raced back outside.

She paused on a grassy hill and opened the worn box. Inside were her prized posessions. She pulled them out and unwound the soft pink laces. She inserted her feet into them carefully and twisted the lace up her bare leg. She stood and tested herself quickly. The cold cement bit into her toes, but she didn't care.

She rose up onto pointe and did a couple of Borets. She then let it all go. She leapt and spun. She bent and rose. She danced away all her anger and sadness. She danced with more feeling than she ever had before. It felt so right and good that she almost missed dinner. She was torn away from her trance by a whine from Ruby.

The pair raced into the Hall and ordered a chicken basket. She sat at the usual table and then undid her shoes.

[Skye]

Skye's classes also went well that afternoon. Physics involved some rather in-depth thinking that left her in the dust, but she got the hang of it eventually. Calculating the strength of an attack after a rebound or two was not an easy task. Skye had elected to take the class to just get it out of the way. She was never very good at anything math related.

Capturing simulations was actually kind of boring. With Agile resting up, Skye had to work with a virtual team, and since they were computer programmed, she didn't know much about them when she started to work with them. She only succeeded in capturing a Sentret and a Caterpie, which the teacher complimented her on, considering her situation. Skye felt unaccomplished despite it.

Skye was excused from fitness because Agile was not with her, and they were working on trust exercises with their Pokemon. Skye returned to the room she shared with Anna, and checked on Agile. Her temperature was nearly back to normal, and she had enough energy to eat something, which made them both feel better.

"Hang in there, Ag," Skye assured her gently, giving her a loving pat before heading to Literature.

In Literature, they were working on analyzing a piece by a poet. The poem involved a telling of a creation story, which Skye found really interesting. They read the poem aloud, and were asked to write an interpertaion on it based on the class discussion. Skye did not participate in the discussion, but she took some good notes.

Finally, it was time to go to dinner. Skye went up to her room, stomach rumbling, and found Agile good as new. The little Pikachu hopped off Skye's bed and into her arms, squealing with happiness.

"I missed you too!" Skye exclaimed, feeling a wave of happiness wash over her at the sight of Agile. "I'm glad you are feeling better! Let's go to dinner!"

With Agile on her shoulder, she walked down to the cafeteria, and ordered a BLT wrap as well as her usual cup of tea. She sat down with Nat just as she was removing her dancing shoes. Agile was already conversing with Ruby, making up for lost time.

"I didn't know you danced," Skye said, pointing to Nat's shoes.

Ali’s last 2 classes, Fitness and Travel, were both fairly bland. The Fitness class was working on trust exercises, and for Princess and Ali, that was kind of a joke, considering they had already been with each other for a year… But when he thought this, the fact that Princess was still a Pichu began to worry him… He hadn’t realized it until then, but Pichus evolve from happiness-if it still hadn’t evolved after a year, what could he be doing wrong?… Trying to ignore it, he continued to Travel, which revolved around reading maps, and calculating the distance between one destination and another, using the scale and the legend of the map. After proceeding to dinner with Princess by his side… momentarily, until she ran up to the table that Nat and Skye had been sitting at, Ali took a seat at the table, ordering a simple dinner of chicken wings, and fries. He took a look at Nat’s shoes before he was able to ask how the girls’ days were.

“I didn’t know you danced…” He told her, somewhat impressed, not often finding someone who attempted to do such a thing. The only other person he knew who danced at all was his sister, Julia.

“Y’know… Rustboro Academy has a performing arts program. My younger sister is actually going there, too…” He told her, hoping he didn’t sound as if Nat was unwanted. Princess jumped off the table, and attempted to converse with Agile and Ruby. Feeling like the “baby”, she had never had a very deep conversation with them, and was hoping to. Ali looked down at her, glad that she was finally becoming sociable, then glanced back across the table to Nat, waiting for a reply.

[The Pokemaster]

Dex's class went as well as could be expected, he sat down, and immediately after doing so the 2 people either side of him shuffled a little out of his way, he looked down upon a sheet of paper that was covered in questions.

"Alright class, this is a quick test to make sure you know all there is to know about pokemon, you have one hour, and begin." the teacher said happily, and everyone began.

After staring at the questions for a few seconds, Dex began to answer them very quickly, within 15 minutes he was walking to the teacher with the paper in his hands, and placed it on the desk.

"oh...you cant possibly have completed it this quickly...your the new student..umm.." the teacher began

"Dex..." he said quietly "and the questions were simplistic at best... I had no trouble"

"wait a minute, what have you written down below the test, it looks like....10 more questions?!"

"Yes, your questions were easy and dull, I believed I'd challenge myself greater if I made up some extra questions afterwards and answered them..."

after 20 minutes of looking over the sheet, the teacher could only sit there looking almost stunned.

"there...there all correct...even the ones that you asked yourself! ...100%! Ive never seen anyone get a perfect score!"

"with my extra questions it should be somewhere in the region of 105% but that does not matter, call me back to class when something challenging occurs." Dex said seriously and walked out of the class room towards the cafeteria and sat alone at a table, alone that is, until is Abra, Merlin suddenly teleported onto the table.

"lets eat...the classes here are even less challenging than I 1st summised, there is no risk in resting up..."

He looked over a few tables to there Nat, Skye and Ali were all talking.

"one of them is someone Ive yet to meet, but the other 2 are the one who's Pikachu was sick, and the one with the Wild Raichu...I have no intention of wasting my time introducing myself to amateurs." he said to himself.

[Skye]

"Hey Ali," Skye greeted him as he came to sit with them. She smiled as Princess started talking with Agile and Ruby. All three evolutions of the electric mouse Pokemon...it was so cute!

Suddely, Skye was distracted by a glare from another table. The boy who had insulted Nat at Ruby earlier was there, staring at them. She smiled at him, realizing perfectly well that he would probably be angered by it, but gave him the benefit of the doubt anyway.

"How were your classes?" she asked, turning back to Ali and Nat.

[Anna-chan]

Anna walked over to the group, she had dark circles around her eyes, and she looked like she was sick. Leo trotted behind Anna, concerned for his trainer.
"Hey guys..", she yawned taking a seat next to Ali. She let her head hit the table with a loud thump.

Naru noticed Juila and waved to her. She was once again studing, and her Vaporeon, AcidIce, slept at her feet. Naru yawned. She so tired from studying.

“My classes went pretty well… A tad boring, but well, none the less!” He saw Skye smiling at the new trainer. Assuming she had feelings for him, he began to make a juvenile groan,

“Ooooo!” He stated, playfully to Skye.

“Looks like someone has crush, huh?” He said, not knowing what he had done to her and Nat.

“He looks kind of gothish… Not exactly the type of guy I’d call friendly. I didn’t know you liked guys like that!” Ali scoffed at the appearance of the trainer; he was evidently not very sociable… Curious, Ali walked up to him without acknowledging Anna, and leaving Princess behind.

“Hey!” He told the mysterious trainer, apparently older than Ali.

“You’re new here, right? I’m Ali!” He put out his hand, hoping he would shake it, but had a feeling in the pit of his stomach that the trainer wasn’t going to be too neighborly…

Julia quickly ran to Naru, just as hyper as she usually was.

“Naru! Naru, Naru! Guess what! There’s an audition tonight in the Drama Studio at 7! You gonna come?!” She asked her, very enthusiastically.

“I have NO Idea of what it’s for, but this could be my big break!” She said, jumping around in her chair. Marill looked away, very embarrassed.

[Anna-chan]

Anna raised her head and banged it on the table again. It increased the headache she had, but it was worth it. During her training, Leo had steped on, and ripped, her poem for Creative Writing.
"I... am.... so.... dead....", she said, her head hitting the table as she said each word.
Leo looked to his trainer, his head hung low knowing it was his fault his trainer would be in trouble, out of shame the Eevee returned himself to his pokeball.

AcidIce looked to Julia, she had apparently had woken up, and now was scared of Julia. She hopped up and nuzzled in Naru's hair. For a Vaporeon, she was quiet small.
"Sure I'm gonna come," Naru said smiling. "I'll give up studing for one night!"

Julia was shocked… Give up studying!? Even for one night, Julia was shocked. Naru was a very academic student, she would have never been able to imagine Naru without a book in her hands! Trying to put the shock aside, Julia smiled.

“Thanks Naru! This is going to be so great!” She told her, not knowing what to expect.

[The Pokemaster]

Dex looked up from the papers he had strewn across the table and looked up at Ali

"Hmm... Sympathetic nonsense" he said scowling at the hand, and then stood up to face Ali.

"Know this, none of us here are truly allies, we are training to become great pokemon battlers, and on the battle field of pokemon I am your enemy... So do not expect me to get friendly with any of you, Im here for one purpose, and one purpose alone...Victory...come along Merlin." he turned to his abra, who hovered onto his shoulder and he started to walk away.
"If you'll excuse me, I have more important matters to attend to." he said before finally walking out of the canteen.

[Skye]

"errr....." Skye grimaced at Ali as he teased her. She didn't have time to make a comeback at him, because he had left the table to talk to the new trainer.

Turning back to the table, she saw Anna hitting her head against the table. Skye raised an eyebrow confusedly, and blinked a few times.

"Anna...don't do that! You'll get a concussion or something," Skye told her. "What's wrong?"

[Mew13]

Nat blushed at the mention of her dancing, and the Arts Academy. She had applied there, but got accepted here 1st. She never did find out if she made it there.

"I've been dancing all my life," she said simply. She didn't want to mention her application to the other Academy.

She noticed the gothic like trainer walk in and glared at him. She didn't like him, and knew she never would. She nearly cracked a rib containing her laughter at Ali's unrealistic idea of Skye liking him.

That's when she noticed Agile. It seemed to be back to normal, which gave Nat a feeling of satisfaction. It was her who treated the cute little thing after all.

Nat was suddenly snapped back to reality by a series of banging noises. She was alarmed to see Anna banging her head on the table. "What's wrong, Anna?" she asked, masking her contempt for the Ali situation quite well.

[Anna-chan]

Anna lifted her head.
"Professor Kaze is going to have my head! Leo ripped up my poem for her class," Anna sighed. She then look in the direction Dex had walked off in, she shook her head and let it hit the table with one final thump.
"This will be the second assignment I've missed in her class," Anna sighed.

[Skye]

Skye blinked a few times at the stressed out Anna. She took out a piece of paper and a pen, and pushed them over to her.

"Here," she said, as Agile leapt into her lap. "Just copy it over. It'll be okay."

She smiled at Anna, and turned to Nat. She found herself very curious about Nat's dancing, as her kata were like dances, only with a more...lethal purpose.

"Can you show me sometime? I'd like to see you dance sometime. I study martial arts, and it'd be neat to see if I can incorperate some of the grace found in dancing into my kata," Skye explained.

[Mew13]

"Sure!" Nat said. "You wanna head to the courtyard now? That is, if you don't have any homework."

She looked at Skye hopefully. The two were becoming fast friends.

[Skye]

"Yeah!" Skye exclaimed, grinning excitedly at Nat. She hopped out of her chair, consequently sending Agile onto the floor. "Oh! Sorry, Ag!"

Skye picked up her Pikachu carefully. No damage was done, but Agile was a little annoyed. Skye looked over at Nat excitedly.

"Can we stop by my room so I can change into my gi?" she asked. "I'd like to be able to try some stuff there while it's still fresh in my mind."

In her excitement, Skye had forgotten all about Anna. She knew that things were tense between her and Nat, so she looked at Nat, asking with her eyes if she could ask to invite her along...

[Mew13]

Nat sighed, knowing her concentration wouldn't be nearly as good with the holder of Ali's affections along. But, she was a compassionate person and saw how much it meant to Skye.

Taking a deep breath, Nat said "Hey Anna, you wanna come along too?" her voice sounded friendly, but she felt hollow.

Not realizing if Anna followed or not, Nat went with Skye to her dorm room. She allowed Skye to gather her Gi and they went to the courtyard.

Nat laced up her pointe shoes again and rose up onto pointe, grinning at Skye. The cement bit into her already bleeding toes, but she ignored it. "Where do we go from here?" she asked as adjusted her wieght.

[Skye]

"Oh neat...that reminds me of a cat stance," Skye said, standing next to Nat, who was standing on the tips of her shoes.

Skye planted one leg firmle behind her, her toes pointing towards Nat. She drew her other foot near to the other, but pointed her toes such that her knee was bent and her legs formed the letter D. Standing in what looked like a half-pointe, Skye looked over at Nat with a grin, her worn in black belt swaying gently in the evening winds.

"Show me something else!" Skye said excitedly. "This is really neat to see both arts together!"

[Raichu_tamer]

Ali glared at the trainer, not even getting his name.

“What a jerk!” He shouted loudly, hoping in vain that the trainer would hear.

’What a pathetic fool, not even willing to make friends… He’s nothing but an emotionless robot, if he keeps his feelings held inside, they’re just going to come out in anger… I kind of feel sorry for him…’ He thought, glancing behind him, still with an angry look on his face. He turned around to see that Princess, Nat, and Skye had gone out to the courtyard. He grabbed his bag, and walked outside to see Skye and Nat, both putting on some sort of performance, and Princess peering around the corner with glee. Ali smiled, took out his sketch book, and began to sketch such an interesting sight. He hoped that they didn’t see him sitting there, without the alertness of an audience, he was hoping to get a more natural look from them… It was difficult to capture the consistently moving people, but very easy to look at. He found himself staring at the two most of the time, rather than sketching.

[Anna-chan]

Anna finished writing the poem down, messing and hard to read but it was completed. She graped herself and walked outside. She sat down on the ground and watched the preformance. She opened the Friend Ball in her bag releasing Leo. Leo gasped and went to hide, but Anna picked the small Eevee up and placed it in her lap.
"Hey it's ok Leo! I shouldn't have left my poem out," she smiled.
"Eevee!", Leo exclaimed happily.

[The Pokemaster]

there was a disturbance in the courtyard, it was sort of like, when silence was so great it hit you like a force of sorts, this was very simalair to what was happening, Dex was sitting cross-legged in a corner of the courtyard, his Abra doing the same, two chairs and a pile of books of his own near him, as he seemed to concentrated, he started to float up in tandem with his abra, both remaining in the same meditative posistion, legs crossed in mid-air, the 2 chairs started to shake around a bit, and the books flapped open, then all of sudden, the objects floated up and began to orbit the levitating trainer and his pokemon, who remained deep in their concentration.

"...Thats it Merlin...focusing our minds as one, I do not ask you to do anything that myself can not do, now feel the power within, you can do this...get ready..."

His abra nodded, and started to glow a brilliant bright white.

"NOW!" Dex said aloud to Merlin.

There was a sort of shockwave of energy, a white flash and suddenly, sitting in the same posistion was an Elderly Kadabra.

"it is done" he said quietly, the newly evolved Merlin nodded.
"This is a time of new power training, not celebration, back to meditation." he said seriously, and the two continued to float, the objects still orbiting.

[Mew13]

Nat grinned at Skye and bent her legs in a Grand Plie. Quick as a flash, she preformed a magnificent Stag Leap to Skye's left.

Ruby and Agile watched happily. It was Ruby who noticed two sets of eyes watching her trainer. She knew Skye and Nat would get nervous if they knew, so she kept her mouth shut. Not wanting to hold the secret alone, she nudged Agile. SHe motioned for Agile to keep quiet about it.

After her Stag Leap, Nat rose to pointe yet again and Boreted to the right. After reaching Skye, she did a double turn, still grinning broadly. This was so much fun.

[Skye]

Skye grinned, and after Nat did her stag leap, she performed a kick that looked remarkably like it. Drawing her front leg up, her toe pointed downwards, she propelled herself into the air as well, and kicked with her other leg. She landed on the ground in a deep front stance, her right leg bent at almost a right angle in front of her, and her left leg straight back.

Looking over at Nat, she grinned once more. It was then that she noticed the pair of eyes watching them from a distance. Deciding it would be best to tell Nat, she walked over to her.

"Look...there's Ali...and Anna," she whispered, pointing in their directions, none too discreetly.

[Mew13]

Nat smiled. An audience. She always danced better alone, but she had no choice now. She winked at Skye and said, "That's alright. Let's give them comething to watch."

She turned on her toes and snapped back to the direction where the pair of onlooking eyes were seated. She gracefully slid from pointe and down into the splits. Letiing it all go, she performed a floorwork routine. She rolled and stretched her legs and waved her arms expressivly.

Rising, she looked to Skye, seeing what she would do next.

[Skye]

"Haha....don't think I can't do a split too!" Skye exclaimed, and promptly dropped into a full split. "Sensei really pushed us all to be felxible!"

Skye then rose from the ground. Her right leg bent at her side, such that her knee was over her toes. Her left leg was perpendicular to her right, but locked straight, her toes pointing towards Nat. She dropped her arms downwards towards her bent leg, her hands open, and fingers pressed tightly together. Slowly, her arms began to curve, keepig them parallel to each other, towards her other leg, and rose slowly. When the move was complete, her right arm was straight up, but bent at the elbow, reaching across the space above her head, and pointing in the direction of her straight leg. Her left arm was arranged such that it created a square with the right arm. Skye's face was solemn, deep in concentration, as she shifted her stance to the left, and mirrored the move once more.

"THis is fun!" she said happily, drawing up so that her leg were together and straight. She cupped her left hand in her right at her right side, and waited for Nat to move once more.

[Mew13]

Nat stretched her left leg behind her and slowly bent down. Her hands grasped her right ankle and he left leg was now straight up. Concentrating deeply, she bent her right leg as far as it would go without ruining her balance and straightened it again. She then allowed her left leg to travel over her head and her hands met the ground. Once the left had traveled aways, her right lifted from the ground and she completed a back walkover.

She rose and shanie turned back to where Skye was standing. She pikaed around her and whispered "After you do whatever your next move is, should we head up to where Ali and Anna are?" There was a light of, almost hope in Nat's eyes. She was a hopeless romantic.... and it was bound to get her into trouble.

[Skye]

"Sounds good!" Skye whispered.

She followed up Nat's brillinat and graceful moves with a continuation of the kata she had already begun with her last set of movements. Her hands were still in their cupped position, and she snapped into a front stance, pushing her arms outwards in an "x" shape. She then proceeded to walk foward in two more front stances, throwing a double-reinforced inside block each time.

Drawing her back leg upwards along her front leg, so that her legs formed the letter "p" she kicked out to her left side with the foot she had drawn upwards, while throwing a strike with her left hand. Retracting her hand to clasp the elbow of her other arm, so that her arms were extended but crossed in front of her. When her hand made contact with her elbow, it made a harsh, powerful smacking sound.

She drew her right leg up to her left, and repeated the move. When that was completed, still in a strong front stance, her right arm went to her forehead, looking very much like a dramatic swoon, and her left arm shot downwards and back, parallel to he rback leg. Shifting her stance ninety degrees, she snapped her downwards hand to her forehead in the swoonish pose, and snapped her right arm down so that her fingers pointed fowards from her chin.

Completing the first half of her kata, Skye brought her right hand behind her head in a fist, drawing her back leg up to her front for a kick, while beinging her left arm, her hand in a fist, to her side. She kicked with her right leg, her calf muscles taunt with her pulled back toes. Her right foot landed hard on the ground, her bare foot making a loud, bellowing pounding noise as she made contact. She brought her left foot behind her right, crossing her legs gracefully, while bringing the fist behind her head down in a downwards strike, her arm bent at the elbow. She remained like that, in her stance, completely balanced and in concentration, awaiting Nat's final move.

[The Pokemaster]

Still floating in meditation with his newly evolved Kadabra, Dex glanced over at the unusual site of the 2 dancers.

"Hmm..And here I thought I had to refrain from encouraging them to look ridiculous." he said aloud, and went back to meditation

[Mew13]

Amazed at what Skye had done, Nat performed one more back walkover and rose slowly.

She stretched her arms to the sky and spun rapidly. She completed 2...3...4...5...6..7...8 consecutive turns, her head snapping around as she spotted on an oak tree. With each turn, her left leg shot out and in, giving her the propulsion she needed to complete the next turn. Nat stopped her spinning suddenly, he left leg shooting out behind her. She reached down for her ankle again, her legs at a 180 degree angle to each other. She rose and pushed herself up onto pointe again and boreted to the left, then to the right. She did two shenaes, two pikeas (both are different turns) her head snapping as she continued to spot the oak tree. She then leapt her legs bent gracefully. It seemed that Nat didn't fall, she floated. She floated down and landed her jump and sank into the splits. To the onlooker, it seemed that Nat had merely leapt into the splits. She stretched her right arm to the sky while her left stayed on the ground. She turned her head to looke up and then brought her face down to her knees.

Nat held this pose for awhile then rose again. She looked at Skye and started giggling. "That was so cool, Skye! You'll have to teach me some of those moves!!" she said, starting in the direction of thier audience.

Then, she saw them. The ingrate of a boy who had insulted her training skills and her Raichu. She glared at him and the Kadabra floating by him. SO he could meditate, big deal. She was known to meditate every once in awhile herself, but found dancing to be more relaxing. He seemed to almost be laughing at them, as if he thought they looked stupid. Nat jerked her head in his direction, to let Skye know he had been watching also.

[Skye]

Skye rolled her eyes at the sight of the gothic-esque trainer. Agile glared at him angrily, some sparks building up in her cheeks. She looked at Ruby with concern, worried that she might feel inclined to do something about the unwanted onlooker.

"Oh, don't worry about him," Skye assured Nat. "He doesn't matter. He can go on being negative and unfeeling all he wants, just as long as he doesn't interfere with us."

[Mew13]

Nat nodded silently. She wished for a chance to battle him, but knew it was stupid. His pokemon was a Psychic element.... not exactly Ruby's strong point.

The two then came upon Ali and Anna. "Did you enjoy the performence then?" she asked, smiling at them.

[Raichu_tamer]

Ali immediately covered the sketch with the cover of the sketch-book, mildly blushing.

“Yeah, that was great!” He smiled, shoving the book into his bag. He glared at the trainer, not very pleased to see him.

“Skye… I don’t think he’s your type, he’s way too cocky,” He said to Skye, hoping she knew he was kidding.

Julia ran out of the Drama Studio to Naru, incredibly excited.

“Oh my gosh me and my pokemon all did fantastic!” She told Naru, jumping around uncontrolably.

“You see, they’re looking for singers, dancers, and plain ol’ actors-as long as you can do one of those, you’ll be fine! And I know you’re a good actress, it’s the only class I have with you!… Then again, it’s the only none academic class you’re taking!” She said to Naru, playfully. Naru was called in a few moments later.

Nat saw how hurridly Ali stuffed a book into his bag. She also noticed his blush. She smiled and wondered what it was.

When Ali mentioned Skye liking the gothic trainer again, she sat down. She found it hard to stand when overcome with bouts of laughter. She looked up to see the expresion on Skye's face as she began undoing the laces running up her leg.

Her toes were a sight to see. 9 of the 10 were bleeding, and all had small purplish scars on them. She pulled the 1st aid kit from her bag and rummaged around for some band-aids. After wrapping her toes and the sticky comfort of the bandaids, she slid her feet into her tennies.

She stuffed the kit back into her bag and looked up at her friends.

[Anna-chan]

"That was very good!", Anna said happily. She then looked in the direction of the other trainer.
"He is so going to get it... I now why I need to train... to show him friendship is way more powerful that sheer power itself....", she thought to herself. She stood up and Leo hoped of his trainers lap looking over in the direction to, to the Kadabra.
"Eevee... vee... ee..," the small pokemon said in a somewhat angry voice that reflected his trainers feelings.
"I'm going to skip my next class today... I need to go train..," Anna said gathering her things and walking off, Leo at her heels.

[The Pokemaster]

Dex and his pokemon continued to strain under the power of meditation, when suddenly, Merlin collapsed to the floor and fell on his back, Dex insantly stopped meditating, objects crashing to the floor, he picked up his pokemon.

"My old friend...Are you alright?" he said, with the 1st trace of any emotion since he had arrived in the academy. Merlin nodded slowly and it seemed to make him relax, he stood up, allowing Merlin to put an arm around his shoulder for support.

"Age is getting to you my friend, 150 years of age and you start to feel old now.." he said, with an actual hint of joke." Merlin seemed to chuckle slightly and shook his head, a few words were exchanged in their minds psychically.
"Thats enough mental training for today...lets go back to our room and rest old friend, youve only just evolved, and hopefully, if my theory is correct, you will evolve again tomorrow.."

He helped the hobbling Kadabra out of the courtyard and back towards his room.

Anna and Leo arrived at their normal training spot to see a trainer already training.
"Mightyena! Rock Smash!", the girl cried, she had long black hair and was dressed in dark red. Her pokemon was a large Mightyena which got rid of a rock extremly quickly. The pokemon turned to see Anna and Leo
"Might...", the pokemon growled.
The girl turned to see Anna and a sly smile came across her face.
"The one I seek has arrived... I shall test her skill," the girl thought to herself.
"Who are you?", Anna asked.
"I am Jasmine... and I challange you to a battle! My Mightyena versus your Eevee!", the girl said, her Mightyena jumped infront ready for a battle.
Anna looked unsure of what to do, but Leo seemed to want to fight and got ready to battle.
"Fine! Leo use Iron Tail!", Anna called.
"VEE!", Leo cried catching Mightyena off guard slamming it into a tree.
"Mightyena! Crunch!", Jasmine cried.
Mightyena recovered and launced an attack at Leo. Leo jumped to the side gracefully dodging the attack and started to run in for an attack.
"Quick Attack! Then use Take-Down!", Anna called. Leo did both attacks, leaving Mightyena weak.
"Mightyena Return...", Jasmine said walking away. "We shall battle again..."
Anna looked as Jasmine vanished. "I wonder what her problem was huh... what do ya think Leo? LEO?!?!", Anna said looking to Leo who had started to glow. Suddenly instead of the shy, small Eevee stood a graceful Espeon.
"Espeon..," Leo said. He had evolved.
"WOW! I gotta tell the others! Leo return!", Anna said happily recalling her newly evolved pokemon.

Naru walked to Julia with a huge smile on her face.
"I knew I'd do well, that was very easy," she said slyly. "Acting is one thing I don't need to pratice for, my cousin always said that."

Ali saw Anna running towards the group, with a majestic beast running beside her.

“Is that Leo?…” Ali asked himself, unaware of his surroundings. Princess watched, a bit frightened. If that was Leo, he sure had gotten larger than before… Something Princess wasn’t too fond of. This would make it much harder for Princess to communicate with Leo.

[Anna-chan]

"Guys! I got into some battle with this girl, Jasmine, and after the fight Leo evolved... into an Espeon!", Anna said happily, noticing Leo had not returned to his pokeball.
"Espeon, esp," Leo said to Princess in a reassuring tone with a happy smile on his face.

[Raichu_tamer]

“That’s great, Anna!” Ali said, rubbing the scruff of Leo’s neck. Ali’s mom owned an Espeon before, which she ended up giving Ali’s older brother, Fox. He had always had a certain liking towards Evee’s evolution tree. Princess slowly approached Leo, and happily rubbed her head against the side of Leo’s leg, after feeling more comfortable a few moments later.

Julia smiled gleefully,

“This is fantastic!” She shouted, running up the stairs to her room with Naru following.

“We’re supposed to get a letter slipped under our door tomorrow evening telling us whether or not we got the audition, this is going to be great!” Julia opened the door to their room, changing into a very large white shirt, and a short pair of white shorts, preparing for bed. She pulled up the covers as she was still sitting up, putting her back against the wall.

[Anna-chan]

Naru changed into a cute little outfit for bed, a teeshirt with a Chibi Eevee in the middle, and the pants had a title pattern of the Eevee all over it, Eevee, and it's evolution tree where her favorite pokemon.
"This is exciting..", she yawned taking a seat at her desk starting to study again.

Anna looked to her watch.
"I had better start getting to my next class," Anna smiled recalling Leo to his Friend Ball and started to walk off into the building.

Dex sat down, cross legged in the dark, dark of his own room, Merlin Sitting beside him, in deep meditative sleep, it had been a hard day for him, Dex knew this already, the evolution always took it out of a pokemon, he needed a day or two before he attempted the proceedings to make him evolve once again, he sighed, if his past had taught him one thing, it was that the Abra family of pokemon was a strong, long lived one, and that Merlin should be fine, he closed his eyes, clapped his hands, turning out the light. closed his eyes in his meditive posistion and seemed to just shut off rather than go to sleep...tomorrow will be another day...

Nat congratulated Anna and watched her head back into the building. She then turned back to the others and smiled. "Made any new sketches lately, Ali?" she asked quietly. She knew Ali was into art as well and was eager to get a glimpse of his work.

Meanwhile, the sun was slowly setting behind them, bathing the scene in a thick orange light. The lighting toyed with the natural highlights in her black hair. Her green eyes twinkled as she waited for Ali to answer.

Ali looked deep into Nat’s eyes. The sun seemed to make everything else disappear… He suddenly remembered the question Nat asked earlier, recalling the sketch he had done of her and Skye.

’It’s the last sketch, I’ll just try not to flip to it…’ He told himself, thinking for a few moments before he gave a reply.

“Sure!” He finally said, walking to his bag, and taking the out the book he had hastily shoved into his bag earlier that day. He flipped the cover open to the first sketch, which was a picture of his younger sister, Julia, about the age of 3, with Gypsy-The family’s Espeon, which was an Evee at that time. Ali waited for a reaction from Nat before he flipped the page over.

[Skye]

Skye winced as Ali mentioned the "attraction" she supposedly had for the strange new trainer. Instead of coming back with something witty, she merely stuck out her tongue.

Anna ran off to train, and Skye sat in the grass with Agile and the others. When Anna returned, an Espeon was at her side. She congratulated Anna, smiling at Leo.

"I think I'm going to go change," she told Nat and Ali, as Anna headed off to her last class. "I've got some homework to start on."

She got up, Agile on her shoulder, and started towards her room. Crossing her fingers, she looked back at Nat and Ali, hoping that everything would be all right between the two of them.

Nat looked at the drawing. It was amazing. "Wow Ali!" she breathed. "You have some serious talent! Who's that in the picture?" she asked, pointing to the small girl.

Ali wasn’t expecting to be questioned about his sister, but gladly accepted the praise.

“She’s my younger sister, Julia, she’s taking Rustboro’s Visual Arts program right now, the one I was telling you about earlier…” He told her, digging through his pocket now for his wallet. He quickly drew out a picture of a very young girl with silky blue hair, a fair skin colour, and deep, sea-blue eyes.

“She’s taking Singing and Drama essentials, along with a few other courses that had to be thrown in for acceptance into the program… But she really only wanted to do Singing and Drama,” He told her, knowing himself that Julia was sure to be successful in the future.

"She certainly has interesting eyes," Nat said quietly. "Are you two close?"

“Um… Sort of…” Ali stated, kind of wanting to leave the subject alone.

“…It’s a long story, but in a nut-shell… She didn’t like my dad very much… And she actually went missing at the age of 4… But just last year-around the time of the incident… My brother and me managed to find her-she didn’t want to come back, but… We managed to get her back home…” He told her, not wanting to go too in depth with the situation. There were too many secrets within his family that he never wanted anyone to know about… But he had a feeling that his new friends were going to find out sooner or later… Hoping it would be later, he paused, and waited for a reply from Nat.

[Mew13]

"Well, she's lucky to have a brother like you who would go looking for her," Nat started. She looked to the ground. "I've always wanted a sibling..... I'm an only child. I've always been jealous of thoes kinds of bonds."

[Raichu_tamer]

Ali laughed softly, looking down at Nat who seemed a bit timid.

“Trust me, they aren’t always that great…” He told her with a smile from ear to ear.

“I’m sure being an only child isn’t that bad… And you aren’t really missing out on much-friends really are family… Heh, you might as well think of me as your older brother from now on, I’m sure we’re going to be great friends!” He told Nat with a surge of confidence.

Nat smiled. Friends was better than nothing, right? Maybe someday it would work out.

It was then that Nat realized the sun had sank. She looked up at the stars. "The stars are really bright tonight..." she mused, shivering slightly from the cold.

Ali noticed Nat shivering, after having the stars pointed out to them. He politely took off his over-shirt, and handed it to Nat,

“It’s pretty thin, but I guess it’s better than nothing, he told her, dropping onto the grass, and looking up at the sky.

“You’re right… They are really bright…” He put his hands under his head, and gazed up at the sky, not thinking about anything else…

Nat took the overshirt, surprised at Ali for a second. She then lowered herself to the grass, also looking tword the heavens.

She was quiet, musing to herself. She began to see the constelations. She expertly located Gemini, Orion, Ursa Major, Ursa Minor, and Taurous. She couldn't believe she remembered all of that. It seemed ages ago that she and her dad had looked at the stars together.....

Dad. The thought brought back many memories. Being eaten alive by mosquitoes, studying sky maps dutiously, laughing around a campfire. Nat could almost smell burning wood and fresh pine. She smiled as a single tear ran down her pink cheek. These were happy memories, and they brought no remorse. It was nice to be able to think of her parents ond not be sad. Perhaps she has begun to heal after all.

[Anna-chan]

Anna flopped on her bed and Leo seemed to look off into space. Anna looked in concern to her partner and placed her hand on the newly evolved Espeon's head. Suddenly her psychic powers where put into use and Anna saw Ali and Nat outside. Weridly enough Anna experenced jelousy. She pulled out of the psychic trance and stared up to the celling.
"What's going on with those two... is Nat trying to steal Ali? I can't let her... I love him... but at the same time I can't bring myself to stop her...," Anna sighed looking to Leo. "So what should I do buddy?"
"Espeon, esp, eon," Leo said turning his head to Anna.
"WHAT?!?!?!", Anna screamed. She knew what Leo said, he wanted her to confess her true feelings for Ali. "I can't do that.... I love him too much to...", she sighed.
Anna grabed her purple sweatshirt and ran outside to see Nat and Ali.
"Hey guys!", Anna huffed and puffed falling to her knees next to Ali.

Ali easily placed himself in a comfortable position on the grass, his under-shirt keeping him tightly placed in one spot. Before he knew it, the whole scenario became a dream… Or at least it was going to be. Anna came running outside, just before Ali was about go to sleep. He sat up, yawning, looking over to Anna.

“Hey…” He told her, stretching, half-asleep.

[Anna-chan]

Anna fixed her position on the grass, and suddenly Leo appeared next to her, stretching out to falling asleep on the grass next to Anna, she scratched the Espeon's head and yawned looking to the sky. She shivered despite her heavy sweatshirt being on.
"Wow... it's REALLY cold out..," she yawned. She looked to Ali and suddenly felt weird. Not weird like sick or scared... weird like 'falling in love weird'. She sighed, and continued to shiver looking up at the sky.

Ali looked at himself, seeing he only had one shirt left on him, so he tried making up for it by wrapping his arm around Anna at an attempt to keep her warm.

“You okay?” He asked her, looking down at the grass now.

“Why were you so keen on rushing out here? Did something happen?” He asked again, waiting for a response.

[Anna-chan]

Anna's face went bright red as Ali asked the question, she didn't know what to say. She could just flat out tell him that she loved him, but it seemed as he gave her no choice.
"Well... um... I got a little psychic jolt and saw you guys out here... and well umm... I want to tell you something...," she started to say.
Leo looked up between Anna and Ali and made a small smirk and went back to sleep.
"I wanted to tell you.. that um...," Anna continued to studder.

[Raichu_tamer]

Ali had a tiny idea of what Anna was trying to tell him. Looking over to Nat, and remembering what Skye had told him, Ali immediately stood up, and grabbed Anna’s hand.

“Why don’t you and I take a little walk first…” He told Anna, heading to the gates.

“I’ll see you tomorrow Nat,” He said as his hair rustled around with the wind.

[Anna-chan]

After being dragged by Ali to the gates, away from Nat, Anna took a deep breath.
"Ali, I love you," she said quickly, as though as it sounded like one word. She started to blush and a single tear fell from her eye and she wiped it away. She had no clue how Ali was going to respond to it. She stood there, feeling like she couldn't breath, feeling colder than ever.

Ali felt a bit awkward seeing Anna make such a big deal out of it.

“Well… Um… I love you too, there’s no reason to get upset over anything…” He told her in a reassuring tone.

“…Does this have something to do with Nat?…” He asked her, almost positive that she had more to say to him than, ‘I love you’. She’d told him the same thing many times before, knowing that this time was no different.

[Anna-chan]

"It's just.. that I know she likes you... and I can't stand to see her hurt, but I love you so much," Anna said.
She felt wetness on her hands, to find herself crying. Why, she didn't know. Maybe it was because she loved Ali with all her heart and didn't want anyone to take away the only person she truely cared about. She took a step to Ali wraped her arms in a hug around him, feeling safe doing so, like nothing could go wrong.

Nat watched the two walk away. The shirt Ali had given her offered no warmth any longer. She noticed Princess was still sitting with Ruby, she she left the shirt with it and headed into the buildings. She couldn't stand it, but she knew she had no chance. They loved each other, and there was nothing Nat could do to stop it.

She then realized how much she really cared for Ali. She thought about her mom, and what she would say. "If you really love him, you'll let him be happy.... called a voice in her head. It was her mother's voice, and she was right.

She cast one last, fleeting glance at the pair, and rushed into the building. Tears streamed down her face as she rushed to her dorm room. Ruby could hardly keep up with Nat's ever lengthening strides.

Nat slammed the door behind her and flopped on the bed. She began to sob. She cried about her parents, about Ali, and about Tim. She wondered it she was cursed. Perhaps she wasn't meant to be happy. Her life seemed to be one tragety (sp?) after another. She realized her pillow was getting soaked and she slowly calmed herself down.

Sleep eluded Nat all night. She was continually having aweful nightmares about being alone. Tomorow was going to be hard, but she would have to keep face. She loved Ali, and wanted him to be happy. And his happiness was with Anna, not with her. It was a hard decision to make, but she knew she had to let go.

Ali woke up the next morning in the same outfit he was wearing last night, very tired, feeling as if he had gotten close to no sleep at all. Not wanting to get out of bed at all, Princess slowly nudged him, pointing to the shirt he had lent Nat on the floor beside him. A bit depressed, he got changed into a navy-blue hooded shirt, and a pair of jeans, getting ready for his next few classes. He picked up Princess, as well as his bag, and headed down to the dining room.

Nat awoke slowly. Ruby was prodding her, pointing to the clock. It was early, but Nat knew her friend was hungry. Nat showered and dressed quickly. Instead of her usual pinks and purples, she wore a black hoodie and a long black skirt. She looked almost gothic. Ruby glanced at Nat worridly, so she changed into an army green skort.

She walked into the Dining Hall and saw Ali there. Her expression darkened as she ordered some hashbrowns and sat across from him. She didn't trust herself to be too close to him yet. The bags under her eyes gave away the fact she hadn't slept much, despite the fact she managed to smile at him.

"Hey," she said. "How was your night?" She did her best not to sound depressed.

[Skye]

Skye awoke the next morning to Agile's snoring. She threw a pillow playfully on the Pikachu, who groaned at her, finally waking up. Skye got ready quickly, and headed down to breakfast with Agile, fleeting thoughts of Harry in her mind.

Seeing Ali, she plopped down across from him, a pair of chocolate fudge pop tarts on her tray, as well as a cup of lemon tea. Agile munched hungrily on some Poke pellets.

"Long night, Ali?" she asked softly, hoping she hadn't opened up a healing wound.

[Raichu_tamer]

“Hey Skye,” Ali said, smiling back at Nat.

“Yeah, it was… Sort of long… More complicated than long, really…” He told her, at an attempt to avoid the subject. Ali was glad to see that at least one of the people at the Academy was having a good time. She looked like she was very happy, and seeing her like made Ali know that her day was going to be much easier.

[Anna-chan]

Anna woke up feeling like she got hit by a bus. She felt good for getting feelings off her chest... but at the same time she felt so horrible for doing it. She got dressed and went down to the dining hall, not even bothering to sit with Skye, Ali, and Nat. Leo looked up in great concern to his trainer.
"Espeon, peon, espeon esp eon?", he asked.
"Oh I just feel like I was attacked by a Dragonite...", Anna sighed, looking over the the small group.

[Skye]

Skye smiled at Nat as she joined them, and later on, she spotted Anna a few tables over. She sent her a weak smile, wondering why she didn't sit with them. Agile, of course, was busy chatting with Ruby, and Skye absently stirred her tea, hoping that all this tension would get over with soon.

Looking at her watch, she realized she had to get to class. With Harry becoming more and more prominent in her thoughts, it was all she could do to ignore those thoughts. She missed him terribly...

"See you later, guys," she said softly, getting up and going to class.

[Anna-chan]

Nat sighed. It was time to make things right. Time to fix what she had messed up. She smiled and looked over at Anna. "Anna looks like she could use you," Nat said quietly to Ali. Her cheeks began to heat up, but she finished her thought anyways. "You two belong together, go to her...."

With that, Nat rose from the table and left the hall. She was spacing out, and didn't realize she had ran right into Skye, who had left the hall only a minute ago.

"Oh, Skye! I'm sorry! I just...." she trailed off, looking down at her feet.

Ali thought for a moment about what had just happened, then moved over to Anna’s table.

“What’s up? You look kinda down…” He told her, putting his arm around her shoulder.

[Anna-chan]

"Well, I still feel a little terrible for what happend to Nat... I mean with us, but that I can get over," She sighed, her eyes starting to fill with tears. "But... this is the real reason why I'm so upset..", she added pulling out two pieces of paper, one her poem the other a nicely written note that read:
Miss Hunter,
This must be some of your worse work. If you do not bring up your grade from an F to at least a C- you will be dropped from the course.
"I have no clue what to do!", she sobbed.

“Oh I see…” Ali said, realizing that Anna’s writing was always very important to her.

“You can definitely bring up that mark, you’re a great writer!” He told her, grabbing his bag and getting ready for class.

“We should real start leaving for our classes before we’re late,” He said, waiting for her.

[Anna-chan]

Anna wiped the tears from her eyes, realizing that her and Ali shared their first class together. She stood up, grabbing her things and she stood next to Ali, and innocently slipped her hand into his.
"Thanks, your one of the few people who've told me I'm a good writer," she said smiling.

[Skye]

Skye steadied herself against the wall after someone had run into her. She looked back to find it had been Nat.

"Oh, don't worry about it," Skye assured her with a smile. Agile nodded. Skye bit her lower lip, feeling a little nervous about her coming question. "How are things?"

She looked from Nat to her shoes, and finally to Agile, who looked just as concerned.

[The Pokemaster]

Dex awoke from his meditative state, it wasnt like slowly waking up, it was like switching on a light bulb, the effect was instantaneos close to open eyes, sitting cross legged to standing in moments. he looked around the room, then quickly went out the door and down the hall way, walking in the same calm, relaxed manner as always, he rounded a corner to find Skye looking at Nat, noticing Nat he wasnt pleased

"not her again....Ive had enough with whiners." he thought to himself inside his head, but tried to walk past them anyway, slowly breezing past, a cold chill seemed to follow him.

[Mew13]

Nat ignored Dex. She turned back to Skye and tried to smile. "I'm okay..." she said, not knowing exactly how to say what she wanted to. "Gotta get to class!" she said as brightly as possible. Perhaps she would write Skye a note. She often found it was easier to express her feeling in writing rather than spoken words.

[Skye]

Skye nodded at Nat knowingly. (say that ten times fast!!) It was then that the strange, new trainer passed them, looking rather displeased with Nat. As Nat turned away to go to class, Skye followed after the new trainer, curious. Agile growled something that sounded like a warning under her breath.

Taken aback by his dark clothing, and brisk, yet brooding stature, Skye resisted the urge to just walk away. He seemed like someone who was ignored often. Perhaps she could break that trend. Her ponytail swished as she walked after him, trying to match his brisk pace. Her brows narrowed over her indigo eyes in curiosity, and also a bit of nervousness. She had seen the way he had treated Ali earlier...

Pulling nervously at her black hooded sweatshirt, she shuffled her purple sneaker-clad feet faster, noting her classroom up ahead...hoping the new trainer ahead of her would make the first move. She was starting to loose her nerve.

[Anna-chan]

Anna was the first of the group to arrive at the dinning hall, she took a seat at the normal table and pulled out her essay for Creative Writing.
"I really hope I get an A on this...", she said to herself waiting for her friends.

[The Pokemaster]

Suddenly, Merlin, Dex's Kadabra teleported right in front of Skye, he looked a little different, his age was seeming to get to him as he had a walking cane in his right hand, he scowled and took a step towards her.

"NO! Merlin halt!" Dex said suddenly turning around, the Kadabra instantly stopped and returned to just standing there, Dex walked towads Skye.

"I apologise, thats the 1st time Merlin has acted that way."
he gave Merlin a look that implied theyd talk severly about this later and Merlin seemed to look slightly worried.

"though Ill Admit his actions were out of suspicion, I just psychically told him someone was following me and he got..protective.."

He looked up at Skye with a look of seriousness to imply whatever he was going to say next, was no joke "I suppose all Fathers get that way from time to time..."

[Skye]

Skye blinked a few times, not quite sure how to take his last remark. Father? How could a Kadabra...? Shaking the thought off, she quickly recovered her smile, however nervous.

"It's...all right," she assured him. She dug her hands into the pocket of her hooded sweatshirt. Agile wasn't very excited to be in the situation, but she stayed on Skye's shoulder, looking casual. Skye took a deep breath, and looked at the trainer, her indigo eyes hoping for him to be kind. "I'm Skye, and this is Agile. I just thought, well, no one seems to be introducing themselves, so...I thought I'd..."

She felt really intimidated by the darkness of his clothes, his shaded face. Biting her lower lip, she pressed on before she lost her nerve.

"I thought you might want a friend," she said softly, casting her eyes away. "I don't know what Ali said to you the other day in the lunch room to make you upset...but I hope you won't hold a grudge against his friends as well."

She shuffled her purple-sneakered feet nervously, and looked at him carefully.

"I'm glad to have met you," she said earnestly. "Come sit with me at lunch if you want."

She glanced over at her classroom, which was nearly full already. Her professor was on the way down the hallway.

Dex watched her leave, and suprisingly, under the black mask, a smile began to curl.

Merlin looked up at him and spoke telepathically

"you told her too much....my child." the Kadabra said into Dex's mind

"Father, It may be unsual circumstances, but sometimes people want should tell others about my past."

"Do you really think youd bring me along to a father-son picnic? or give me cards on fathers day." the Kadabra said jokingly

"Hmm, well I dont think it really matters about your apperance." Dex caught Merlins expression "Or species....But i think ill take this Skye up on her offer...maybe this "Friendship" thing may not be as bad as I thought."

With this he walked to the same Classroom as Skye and sat down a couple of seats away from her, hugely keeping interest into what was being taught.

[Skye]

Skye was suprised to see the new trainer enter her classroom, sitting a few desks away. She hadn't even realized she had the same first class as he did. It was then that she scolded herself. He deserved as much attention as she paid everyone else. It was so strange how people tended to try to ignore those who were different...

Snapping her head up as Professor Leen called on her, Skye realized she had not been paying much attention. Instead of sinking into her chair with embarassment, she looked down at her notes. Professor Leen repeated the question.

"Well, what would you do if you were faced with a Geodude with just your Pikachu in the wild?" she demanded, pushing her thick glasses up on her nose.

"I'd run," Skye told her, half-earnestly. "But if I couldn't get out of the situation, I'd probably use normal attacks. Or I'd throw some water on it."

Professor Leen looked at her strangely. Her expression was a mixture of suprise and disgust.

"That's not the answer from your reading," Professor Leen said calmly, and walked away.

Skye looked over at Agile, smiling slightly. She was sure it would have worked had they actually been in the situation. After all, you couldn't learn everything there was to know about Pokemon from a book.

[The Pokemaster]

"Ahem" Dex said loudly to Professor Leen. "I have the answer you are looking for."

"oh really?" Professor Leen said with scheptacism.

"If meeting a wild Geodude with only a Pikachu on your side, the only thing that could have been done in the past to prepare for such an encounter is to teach the Pikachu the move Iron Tail." he said calmly, arms folded.

Ali jumped to the grand hall, and walked through one of the doors, which lead him to his first class, Communications with Professor Marigold. Ali happily took a seat near the window against the far wall, looking outside at random moments. The class was talking about physical communication with pokemon-things like body language, and touching. Ali remembered hearing something similar to what they were currently talking about in one of his breeding classes. One of his aunts in Verdanturf owned a breeding center, and Ali had volunteered there over the summer, gaining much knowledge of breeding. He continued to listen to Professor Marigold, waiting for his next class to begin.

[Skye]

Resting her head on her hand, her elbow on her desk, Skye glanced over at the new trainer as he gave his answer. Being from Kanto, and never journeying to Jhoto or Hoenn before in her life, she knew little about the new moves and discoveries. Iron tail...of course...

Rolling her eyes, she returned to paying attention to Professor Leen. Agile shifted uncomfortably in her lap, a little tense. Skye pet Agile absently, trying to calm her down while still listening to the lecture.

She was happy when the class was finally over. Grabbing her books, she headed off to her next class...

They flew by effortlessly. Mythology was the discussion of some fossils and their origins. Professor Payne said they might take a trip to see an ancient Pokemon resurrected in a lab.

Kanto geography was dull as usual, but Skye knew she would need it for her own Pokemon journey. She handed in the map of Mt. Moon she had prepared for class, hoping she did well.

Evolution studies was interesting. They studied the evolution of a Pokemon using different stones, and Agile seemed keen on getting her hands on a thunderstone. Skye was skeptical, but she promised they they could look into it.

Finally, it was time for lunch. She and Agile walked down to the cafeteria, ordered a salad and a smoothie, as well as Agile's prized bottle of catsup, and sat down at a table. Skye munched on her salad, wondering if the new trainer would take up on her offer...

Dex seemingly emerged behind her, the chill that seemed to follow him would have been alert enough for anyone he was standing behind.

"Ahem...Is this table taken, or has the offer yet to expire?" Dex said emotionlessly as Merlin took a seat, he decided to do so as well. he sat there, doing anything in his power not to stare at Skye, thinking it rude, he was a little uncomfortable with this situation.

Ali quickly sprinted to Breeding methods, just across the hall with Princess by his side, as soon as the bell rang. Today they were given no assignments, instead they were discussing baby pokemon throughout the whole class. Ali was a bit disappointed to hear the average time it takes to evolve a baby pokemon, as was Princess. Being the only student in the class with a baby pokemon, Princess was often put on the spotlight, demonstrating the power of manipulative attacks like charm, and sweet kiss. After the bell had rang again, Ali walked down to the Lunch room, waiting for Fitness and Travel to begin in good time. Seeing Skye sitting with Dex, he began to ponder if she really did like him… Or maybe she just managed to be a bit more friendly with him. Either way, Ali didn’t want to invade their privacy. Somehow he didn’t understand himself though, ,if Nat was sitting with Skye, he would’ve gladly sat with them… Maybe he just felt uncomfortable around Dex? Despite it all, he walked in, grabbed an order of fries and a salad, and walked out, taking a seat on the closest flight of stairs, looking out the window as he awaited Nat and Anna to come down.

"Of course you can sit here," Skye said cheerily. "Why would my offer expire?"

Skye took another bite of her salad as Agile gulped down her catsup. Skye pet Agile on the head, scratching her ears affectionately. She noticed the new trainer averting his eyes. Was he nervous?

"I didn't catch your name before..." she said softly, trying to start a conversation.

Anna walked down the steps to see Ali sitting there.
"Hey Ali!", Anna said happily, seeing as she had cheered up. She walked down and took a seat next to Ali. "Got something on your mind?", she asked.
Leo trotted down the stairs after Anna, and had seemed to be running.
"ESPEON ESP PEON?!?!?", Leo screeched to his trainer.
"Sorry Leo... I wanted to see my friend," Anna said trying to send a hint to the psychic pokemon.
Leo shook his head and recalled himself to his pokeball.

"...Dex...its Dex" he said then turned to Merlin who was busy eating poke-pellets noisely.

"..Father, not in front of her please..." he said, then realised what he had said and tried to change the conversation.

"Sorry about that..fath...I mean, my pokemon has something to learn in the way of manners Miss...?" he said not knowing her name yet either

[Skye]

"Skye," she told him politely, and looked at his Kadabra. "I hope you won't think me rude, but your Kadabra...he seems....older than you..."

She noticed how he looked when he called the Kadabra "father" seemingly by mistake, so she decided to change the subject. Agile had finished her bottle of catsup, and was now busy downing Skye's smoothie.

"You're gonna get fat, Ag..." Skye told her, jokingly. She looked over at Dex. "Where are you from?"

Dex smirked at Agile's antics and the replied

"Yes he is older than me, by quite a large way I'd say, how exactly old are you fa...Merlin, if you don't mind us asking."

The Kadabra turned to face him and Dex nodded and turned back to Skye

"209 years old as of last week." Dex said seriously, "but he doesnt look a day over 150, in my opinion, an Abra and its evolutions live quite a long time, you get used to it when your raised by them an.." Dex suddenly stopped, doing the expressional equivalent of putting his hand over his mouth, Merlin went Wide eyed and gave Dex a fatherly "you told her!" sort of Scowl.

Ali looked up at Anna,

“It looks like Skye managed to make friends with Dex… I didn’t think it was possible really…” Ali looked down the stairs to see them having what looked to be, an interesting conversation.

“It looks like they are doing fine, I haven’t heard any smashing glasses yet!” Ali told Anna, knowing she’d know he was kidding.

[Skye]

"Raised by Kadabra?" she asked softly. She had to admit that she was suprised, but it wasn't kind to treat him any differently. She smiled. "It's all right. I won't tell anyone if you don't want me to. Your secret is safe with me."

Agile had now downed Skye's smoothie. Skye rolled her eyes, and Agile hiccuped.

"I'm from Celadon," she ventured, hoping Dex wasn't disgruntled about sitting with her. "I live with my mom in an apartment in the city, near the department store. I've had Agile since I was little. My dad found her when I was a baby, and we've been together ever since!"

Anna giggled.
"Well we'll be ready if anything like that happens," she laughed smiling. She brushed away her blonde hair from her face and quickly pulled it up with the hair tie from her wrist to keep it out of the way.
"So what's up with you?", she asked keeping her smile.

"the place I can even remotely call home is Cerulean, thats where the forest is where I was abandoned, Merlin was still an abra at the time, and decided to take me in, being the dominant of the group, no-one argued with him, and I grew up with the abras, you learn a lot of interesting things when you get raised by them." He said, shifting his hand and the Salt shaker on the table slided on its own accord down the table into the waiting hand.

"Like unlocking the psychic parts of any mind for one" he continued "well I grew up and after a while, the Abras took me to the city, they gave me a false history with the help of a little "Psychic history re-arrangement" with the people who keep records on people, if you know what I mean, I went through a normallish education, normal that is until Id go home everyday to a forest in a hollowed out tree where the entire Abra group lived, but you learn to love it...and eventually, I came here..."

He noticed the look on Merlins face.

"Father, She already knows, I might as well tell her the whole story." he said seriously.
