Intruoducing Mewthree inc's newest hack: Chaos black

90 to 100% of all new sprites will be done by me (aviex, i sprited all those really good sprites in alexandrite, blazing red and also Supreme evolution [which is on hold])

The hacking team at the moment for this project is me and fudge01, with m3 helping here and there. So far all that has been done is the title page, (which was very hard) and im not going to release much info storywise, but i will tell you that this hack will includew some pokemon from supevo and alexandrite

It is a hack of fire red.


edit:- quick fact: altho i was making a chaos black around a year ago, this hack has little else in common with it, bar some pokemon.

Well the hacks going well, The first nine pokemon sprites (and there backpics) have been inserted, title screen is done (which you know) and that little picachu at the start (ontop of the thing that says your journey is beginning bla bla bla) has been replaced by a flaon. Will reveal some more info, and screens later.

well, if youy ever played the supevo beta, its the last form of one of the starters, Metagon.

In this game, there is one starter from supevo (not metagon), one starter from blazing red (i wonder who that could be) and one new starter.

It shows the three starters, and the flaon. At the moment, im busy replacing teh gengar and nidorino at the start. All i have left to replace is the giant sprite of nidorino from behind. It looks hard so im procrostinating (sp?).

At the moment there is no plans for a new type.
The storyline however has been worked out, and i have told only one person. But you ewill have to wait untill the beta is out. I can tell you however, that it includes a pokemon trainer of some sort. :P

The layout of the region is a lot like kanto, coz im lazy, but the order in which you go to towns is different (gym's you go to are pewter, then vermillion (sp?) then who knows what :P)

Ok, thats it. Im tired of being in secrecy. Ill tell you all the storyline now, and release the alpha sometime within the next three days.

There were many gods in the beginning of the world of Pokemon. Humans however, wanted to control as much as they could, and sealed away the four Pokegods of nature into four special pokeballs. Winona, the god of the winds, Eishloft, the god of magma, Grodrof, god of the earth and its life,and lastly Acire, god of the oceans. Without them to watch over, two powerful pokemon, groudon and kyogre fought over the land and the sea, and then they two were sealed away, in caves in the hoenn region. With the lack of gods, some other people created some replacements, and greated the three regi. After they two could not be controlled, they suffered the same fate as groudon and kyogre.

Many hundreds of years later, one man, The new leader of Se Corp, since it had been disbanded by the hands of team soul, and an unnamed trainer, in the region Magore, a year earlier, located the four sealed pokeballs to a single region. A region where a new trainer is starting their pokemon journey.

That trainer is you....



Also, some extra information....there will be an oblect called darkserum, which replaces the sunstone, and transforms a pokemon to an evil form of itself (for some of them) (like mewthree (see avatar))

nope. Its more complex than that. After battling the trainer with the posession of one of the pokegods, it returns to the ancient pokeball, in your possesion. Twist is it can not be opened or used, however, if you find someone with a vast knowlage of pokeballs.......

The real reason for this, is that we have just decided some things we want to add before we realease the beta (Its an ALPHA *aviex smacks fudge over the head*)

well, its official now. Most pokemon will have an alternative last form, and if possible, they will all be a new type (if you know its possible to make a new type, please contact me, fudge or mew3). These pokemon will acheive this form by obtaining the item i stated in an earlier post (i forgot what it was :()

Other news, there will be one pokemon, who has 12 different last forms (^^)

Yes... Every pokemon has 5 places where you add evolutions after them meaning you could have 1 pokemon evolve into every single pokemon :P if you could exceed the level limit

EDIT: when i say five slots i mean in the hex editor there is 5 more evos you can add in... and the wurmple type evolution will be used for the 12 evo guy i think =/

lolo, that alpha had no edits to text or towns, but the new one is waaay different, with both changed upo to the second town. Now you can have one of two choices, either when i get up to mount moon i patch the maps onto the alpha (because i started again on a fresh rom), making an alpha 2, or you can wait to beta 1 which will take longer but have more pokemon (and many actually edited other than their name and sprite :P *cough*feaerowminite*cough*Cloystergraal*cough)

Well, I'm one of hundreds but now you will hear what I think about the hack, the routes/small towns are very messy, you can't understand how to get through them, they would be good as the last routes when you get into the game, but the first routes OMG, that's to complicated, the first routes should be easy to understand, easy to go through if you're new to this, the Pokemons are cool, but some names are almost the same as some old ones, there were one with a name almost as Charizard, and on with a name almost as Silicoon (may be misspelled) but the hacks are great, this is the best hack in PC, but with the things I mentionded earlier it would be even better!

Most of the spriting is fairly well done, with a couple exceptions. Other than that, there's barely anything to talk about since they're all battle screenshots. Other than that you cast a slight light upon the story, detailing something along the lines of "PokeGods"... with a few "okay" maps... But that's it. So I would overall give this a 'so-so' and to Aviex's fans, don't you bite my head off for telling the truth, or at least my opinion.

Yes, i agree with you in many points there. I know not all the graphics are good, The plot sucks (im changing it, but youll have to wait till the beta to find out. You can thank the back button on my mouse [wipe my post will ya >:@ ]), and the maps are being redone. The onlky things left in the game are the actual pokemon, and that is where this hack shines. Every pokemon has a purpose, and there wont be any -Bad- single form and weak pokemon. One pokemon is even evolved from one of two guy's, meaning depending on which one that you evolve, the pokemon im talking about can have completely different movesets. Plus the pokemon are all origanal, so forget thuse inferior fused or edited sprites of actual pokemon.

Onto my next point, which is coz im lazy
ITS COMPETITION TIME:
all you have to do is creat 3 origanal pokemon sprites from scratch (one pokemon and TWO (i accidentally put 3 :P) evolutions, that means no using a pokemon as a base. Max size is 64x64
Prizes

First prize : all three pokemon used; Creater becomes first of the elite four (using one or more of the pokemon they created)

Second prize: all three pokemon used; Creater becomes seventh gym leader (using one or more of the pokemon they created)

Third prize: all three pokemon used; Creater becomes Sixth gym leader (using one or more of the pokemon they created

The beta will only be released to 10 people, 5 of which are people who won the competition. As a result i have updated the rules a bit
