On pokelord.com is a report about the japanese version of Pokemon R/S.
The internal clock counts the weeks playing the game. After 50 (not in hours, real-time) weeks of playing the time-based function are gone. It is 100% confirmed. Nintendo Japan is replacing 2 million exemplares of the game at the moment and there is a risk that the bug is also in our games. They've fixed it for FireRed/LeafGreen. At the moment the people on the site are searching for codes resetting the clock to 0 until the 50 weeks are over.
