The Halo Movie

What are your thoughts? Halo into a movie. This would be awsome if it didn't have the chance of sucking like the other video game based movies. :\

I believe that Halo would make a VERY good movie. But let's face it ALL of the other movies based off video games were not that good to the people who have played the games. The reason that Halo would make a Good movie is that Halo basicly is a movie, with little sections in between where you can control what's going on. Also Microsoft makes a lot of money off of the Halo series, and Microsoft wouldn't let the producers of the Halo movie SUCK. I've just thought of something, there are Halo books right?, and most of the movies that are based off books are pretty good. So Let me just say this 2+2=4

Yes there are books and that's what I rather want to movie to be based on instead of the game. I've seen the game, I want to see the books.

All movies have a chance to suck, and I think Halo has alot of potential. I'll definately be in line to see it

Halo is a great game, and i'd personally be suprised if they actually pulled it off.
@Kip-Kip, yes i'm also concerned that the movie won't be as good as the game.

With movie-tie in games (aka The Spongebob Squarepants Move Games) and vice versa (Resident Evil/Final Fantasy), theby-product of the original is never as good. So... I don't think I'll be getting my hopes up for a good movie. Although... I could be wrong... :/

yeah, your right
the graphics are WAY to good to make it into a movie.
because they made such a great game like Halo, people will expect something as good OR better then the game, but i seriously doubt that they'll make it better then the game.

And that's why if you go to Halo forums, you'll see out cries. People don't want their Halo franchise to be screwed with a bad movie.
