Yeah, about the door. Originally I was going to make it a doubledoor, but it didn't look right. I use Elitemap. As for the mountain tiles, I wasn't really sure, which were which. :P I'm going to fix it though.

.::QUICK UPDATE::.

At the beginning instead of the sequence with Birch and the Poochyena, I'd like to make it so that the professor asks you to go atop the mountain to retrieve something he left behind when researching. When you get there a certain event will occur that sheds light upon the legend. When you return I'd like to have it so that you are able to choose your pokemon from the Prof. like older games...

Unfortunately I have no freaking idea how to code events to my liking so... yeah... if you know how: I beseech you! Help me!

I'm off to fix the mountain and temple. ;)

Yes... I'll fix it. ;) You know what REALLY sucks though. I tried to change an image and it totally made my file wonky, so I had to upload it again... atleast I have the image to work from. :P After all ze mapping is done... all I need is events and text... of which I need desperately... *HINT HINT* to anyone who knows and is willing to help. ;)

Yay! With some help from a friend I've finally been able to upload a custom sprite. I won't show the starters or give their names just yet, but I will give a preview as to what they are.

Grass Starter :: Grassy Dog
Types :: Grass / Ground

Fire Starter :: Fire Dinosaur
Types :: Fire / Steel (Possibly)

Water Starter :: Water Dragon
Types :: Water / Dragon

I even have a screen with the Grass starter... however I'll hold off on it for the time being. IF YOU CAN HELP IN ANY WAY PLEASE ALERT ME OF THAT FACT! :) SPECIFICALLY EVENT AND TEXT EDITING!

Well... I can tell you the advantages of each... Terruff has some good dark and ground attacks. He's fairly good, but Hydrorn has very good defense and learns dragon attacks. Ignewt is pretty cool too. It learns bite as its very first attack, and also learns Hyper Beam as its last. They're all pretty good. ;)

I guess I'll have to... It's not that big a prob. since I only uploaded two sprites, but this would be the second time I would have to redo Ephrill Town. *Yarrr!* *Stares menacingly with eyepatch!*

Though I think this is a bit excessive for posting, I will post yet again. The plot will all be devised by me, with a few suggestions, perhaps. It will mainly focus on the new legendary's, Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise, which will be scattered about the lands. The legend will tie in with the main plot.

Pichu1, not to rag on you, but perhaps your post should have been with both of those topics in it. Anyhoo... not to be mean or anything.

All I have is an extremely small update. I would have shown Fluidran, Hydrorn's evolution, within the context of the game, however it would be fairly long and difficult to train Hydrorn into evolution, so I, for now will just provide the back and front sprites. They are attached. Enjoy. BTW, applying for a Gym Leader will actually be open! Wow! But only one gym, with a type I'm selecting... which will be... ... ... ... Dark! You can try your hand at it! It will be the seventh gym, so keep that in mind when choosing the stages of the pokemon. I will choose levels. All selected poke's must have Dark type, or at least a dark-ish quality, such as poison.

Nope. I'll have to script it though. Hydrorn evolves at a mere LV 14, mainly because I feel it is the pokemon that deserves the earliest growth out of the three. Ignewt is next, evolving at LV 15, and Terruff is the slowest, at LV 16.

Thanks for the positive comments, and thanks anyways for the negative. Constructive criticism never hurts. I didn't actually make the Fire Starter. I made the other two. Once you see what it evolves into you'll be awestruck. So I think I'll cause you to be right about now. ;) It's an excellent sprite.

As for helping, can you do overworld sprites for a new girl trainer and a new boy trainer like you offered before. That'd be awesome.

Thanks for the compliment! I always thought it'd be a well-appreciated twist to the game. ;) Her name'll be Ebony. Yesterday I devised what each of the gyms will specialize in (and now there are only 4 type-specific gyms.) The rest consist of themes. For example, Cletus' gym, of which I posted before, will be centered around farm-dwelling pokemon, such as Miltank, Tauros and Mareep. This'll certainly be more interesting than strictly type-based. BTW, In case you're blind I made a new banner for Eternity.

Pichu1, the color isn't supposed to be there! It's supposed to represent darkness and light, which ultimately make the grayness of the banner. Kind of like the mascots Solexun and Malevolans, the two legendary Dragons that represent Eternity as a whole. ;)

Will do! ;) Sorry for not responding about it sooner. I actually think it's pretty good. I have an idea: Change it to a bluish lizard, using the facial area and we can have an Ice Lizard. Could you do that? It would be sweet!

LOL. Sorry bout that! Pika Woods won't be mapped for a bit. Right now I've been fiddling with the first route. I've even placed a river and a house in which you'll receive a pokemon called Blankat. It uses stones like Eevee, and evolves into either a Fire Cat or an Ice Cat. You receive one from a kindly old lady, and then go to a temple to retrieve the stone. It'll be fun. Once I've sorted out the problemos with that then I'll move onto the woods. :)

Now, since an update is in order I will reveal Blankat's Ice/Electric evolution, Illumya. I sprited it last evening but PC was down at the time. It is so good! I can't believe it, and guess what? I made it ENTIRELY on my own. ABSOLUTELY! I'm so proud! I think the secret is drawing them out first and then spriting. Without further ado, here is Illumya. Enjoy.

That's pretty good. Thanks! :) That's okay about the overworld sprites. I could probably do it myself, though I'm not sure how to insert them. Blankat is a very plain and dull kitty. It is pure whiteish gray, with a listless expression and small pointy ears. As for a beta I will release one when everything up to the first gym is completed. :) It'll be pretty fun. :) You get to actually receive a Blankat, and then go to the Pika Woods, where Pichu have lost all electrical powers due to the evil Pikachu lurking in the center. You get to face it and even catch it if you want. The first gym will either be centered around farmlike pokemon, or it will have Giselle (from the anime) with extremely rare pokes.

About the name: As a poet, Pokémon: Shadows of Eternity has a much better ring to it than Pokémon Eternity. One word titles are everywhere. Eternity? I'm not entirely sure what about the game is eternal (the spirit of Pokémon, perhaps?). But true eternity would incorporate everything - when you use Shadows of Eternity you add mystery to the game and.. um.. and.. you make the shading on my title screen make sense! Yeah! Hehe.. >_>

Perhaps I will change it. I actually chose the name Eternity because I felt it had a very somber and dark sound, but Shadows sounds awesome as well. Could you also write "Press Start"? And can you also change it to "By Squiq" or something like that. I don't want it to look like you did the entire game! ;)

EDIT - Also, can you grayscale the "pokemon" title? It'd look so awesome!

Here is Blancat, and another sprite I made one day...maybe you could give It a name and use it? I could be one of Blankat's evolutions, but the tail might be slightly too large; in that case, ask me to shorten it. Oh, and If you do want to use that rabbit Pokemon, I can make a sprite for it if you want...^_^ I'll just use the picture superlatios drew, if you want to actually use it. And BTW to superlatios, There is no attack called sign, unless you wanted to make a new attack, and I really don't think Blueguy can do that...

Well, I'm glad this has been cleared up, since I would NEVER plagierize someone else's work and that is a guarantee that I will strictly adhere to... Recently I have been supremely lazy with the hack, if I'm being totally honest... I hope that perhaps Shadows of Eternity might be considered for 133t this month, though I'm sure that it won't be selected, as there are far better hacks.

Since I should give a update, whether it be a half-update like this, or a full one, which I will give promptly (the weekend is fast approaching! Haha!) So, attached I will showcase... the final evolution for Ignewt! Just incase you haven't already seen Ignewt and Blazerix I have also attached them for clarity. The final evo's name is Salignite. Enjoy.

*Shakes head* You need some help with spriting. I can see that you're fairly good with recoloring things, however that's not too hard to do. All you have done with these is swapped Snubbull and Granbull's heads with Charmander, Charmeleon and Charizard's bodies. I can't accept it. Sorry. With practice I'm sure you can become a great spriter, but you need to have an artistic flare and a good vision.

It's like: "How did you know!" I was feeling relatively uninspired on the day I "made" Pyrokun, so I pulled a cheapshot and used a G/S/C sprite of Pupitar, recoloring it, cutting off the bottom and pasting new eyes... ;) Darn! I would have got away with it to, if it weren't for you meddling kids! ;) Thanks though.

Thanks so much! That's very nice of you! As for the "Grayish Background", it will most likely stay, unless someone happens to make a different one that is a heckuva lot better... but, yeah. The overall feel I want to come for the game is a dark sense, which I think gray pulls off very well.

Help is always welcome. The kind of help I specifically need at the moment, is changing the overworld sprites of the heroes, gym leaders etc. and changing the trainer sprites of people such as the heroes, professors, gym leaders etc.

As for the beta... I can't spell out an exact date, since if I do I'll probably be eating my words. As long as I get lots of help, feedback, and inspiration I'll work hard. I will release a beta version once absolutely everything is completed up to the first gym.

Thanks to everyone in the sudden overload of rudeness, audacity, and pure spam. I can't believe that even happened. To make something clear, Charmaster, I HAVE REPORTED YOU, so please try and only post when you have something to say that regards Shadows of Eternity. This is not a help section, this is my thread for my hack. You could've just made a thread here and have it locked, but no, you ruined mine, and made me supremely angry. Now, for the people who actually like me updating, I'll probably be far too angry to.

To the people who were supportive, thanks so much. :) It was nice to see that I wasn't the only one against the utter spam occuring here. I had something to say... but what was it. Oh, yes...

QUESTIONS ::

Blueguy, when you can have a BETA of the hackrom?

The beta won't be out for a while, but you'll be able to see tons of screens, and info. So, be sure to stay tuned to my thread in order to be up to speed.

Oh,and will you have different music?

Yep. I'll be switching up the music. Definitely. ;) The music for Ephrill Town, in which you start, has music used for Saffron City. It sounds nice to me... and fits the mood of the town.

As for updates... I'll be sure to make them soon, but as you know this sudden barrage of spam has got me quite riled up.

Wow im really stunned at how great this hack is. to begin with i thought it was another game made by nintendo before the release of Diamon and peral so we get to see some new pokemon. OMG ur amazing. Truly. Also i dont know if this has been posted before but i cant wait to see the other evolution of Ponyta. The moonlight Horse. Truly. * Lone Eevee got dibs on Blue guys number one fan lol ^_^*. I like the new screenshots. It seems that this game keeps getting better and better. You now have a game that rivals Nintendo's. It is truly amazing. The dragon sounds aamzing. Thanks to everyone for the positive comments, but I have an unfortunate half-announcement. There will probably not be any updates for a couple of days, since I'm feeling slightly depressed at the moment, and relatively unmotivated. I was also thinking it might be interesting to dabble with Game Development as well, BUT that doesn't mean I will abandon Eternity by any means.

I promise that when I update in the next few days it will be a massive update with lots of screens. I'll doublepost if I have to, d*** it! Just for you all. ;)

-The site will be updated with new quizzes, and fun stuff, like "Which Eterntiy Starter are you?" and such

BTW - To keep everybody happy, as I wallow in utter "bleh" ness, I have attached Terruff's two evolutions for you to enjoy. They're called Snarleaf and Terroar. Don't you dare critique them, though! ;) J/k. You can tear them apart if you please. And I am aware that their bases are both very noticeable, so don't mention that, please. I will most likely redo them to be original, since I've become much better at doing it from scratch recently, and these were made a LONG time ago.;)

The pokemon sprites look good i think snarleaf is the better one because it looks completly different to its base ( Growlithe ) But the are both very good ^_^About the type you could have like light type or something like that (heaven) And death type. But completly up to. As i would not know how to include them into any game. Oh well. I hope you fnd more inspiration soon. Im glad ur not abonding your game as well. To good to waste.
