Well, is said that the fastes pokemon on the ground is Rapidash, In the water would be Golduck, and I dont know about the air.

I think celebi would be the fastest. It can just pop from one place to another.

Psychic Pokemon seem to have most speed. Celebi and Mew are probaly equal with their speed.

Abra, or any other that can teleport are fast, but if you mean actual running I'd have ti think about it XD Maybe Rapidash

In game order, it's Deoxys-E > Ninjask > Electrode and so on.

Although if it was real life... I'd have thought that Rapidash and Milotic would have been quite fast as well. But Electrode seems... well... I just don't think it could go that fast to be honest o.o

I donnu I heard that Rapidash was the fastest Pokémon, heard that in an eppy btw and also that the fastest flying Pokémon was Pidgoet as it can fly at Mach two speed. But don't listen to me, I just heard it from eppies so I don't really know if that's true or not.

Neither Milotic or Shedinja are fast. I only thought that in real life Milotic would be fast, as it's streamlined... and... stuff :P And It's not Shdinja that's fast, but Ninjask. I did write Ninjas didn't I? o_O

Well, on an episode that Aerodactyl came out Charmeleon had just evolved into Charizard and the speed of Charizard was already greater than a mature Aerodactyl, so, I guess Aerodactyle is not a option.

What about Linoone? An evolution of friendly Zigzagoon, can run up to 60mph in STRAIGHT LINES though it must stop before turning.

Electric pokemon have the spped (most of them anyway) Perhaps...the legendary dogs? They always run away from you...

Dragonite i'd consider very fast -it's agility in the air has been shown ^^ so i'd consider it the fastest air-based pokemon
For ground-based, i'd go for arcanine since it can use extreme speed

Arcanine and Rapidash are the obvious ones. I always considered Suicine to be the fastest for some reason.

in almost all the games, Rapidash is refferd to be the fastest pokemon, i'm not sure about the new pokemon though, anyway just because the legendaries are stronger than most pokemon doesn't mean they're faster, I personally say Rapidash

Actually, going by base speed stats in the games...the fastest pokemon are Speed form deoxys (180), Ninjask (160), Regular form/attack form deoxys (150), Electrode (140), and Jolteon (130).

Going by descriptions and all that...I'd say ninjask and electrike would actually be the fastest pokemon, because they apparently can move faster than the human eye can follow...according to pokedex entries.

Edit: Okay, add scyther in there also. Apparently it can move quite fast as well, according to its silver entry. XD

(And if I missed anything, it's because I couldn't be bothered to look through ALL of the pokedex I was searching through. I was mainly looking at all the pokemon thought to be fast.)

I'd say Zapdos for air since it is an Electric type and a legendary, and for the ground, Rapidash, because...well, jusy because. XD

I honestly do not know and don't consider myself to have the knowledge or opinion to answer, but I'd go for Rapidash if I had to pick.

Psychic Pokemon are at an unfair advantage when it comes to speed, because not only do they have their physical speed, but they can enhance their abilities with their Psychic powers. So for now, I will exclude them, since it would merely be based upon the strongest Psychic type. Also, Voltorb, Electrode, and other orb-based Pokemon will be excluded, since they do not really use muscles or strength to move, but merely roll.

On land, regular flat grassy land, the fastest Pokemon is Suicune; It's speed is unrivaled, it's a legendary, and it's modeled after the fastest animal on land (in reality) the cheetah.

In water, the fastest would have to be Lugia; it's the master of the undersea, and it's one of the most powerful legendaries; other than the fact that it lives/has lived under there for it's entire existence.

For air, I'm gonna say Pidgeot; not much reasoning other then...look at it.

I think the fastes Pokemon is most likely Rapidash. ^_____^ In the anime, Rapidash even beat Dodrio in a Pokemon race! ^^ Horses are also some of the fastest animals on earth too. ^^

Non-legendary - Definitely Ninjask, like Cowrie said, base speed is the highest of the normal pokes there. Plus it just looks light and fast. Plus its got Ninja in its name! XD W00t Ninjas.

Legendary - While Deoxys is the fastest according to the game, I dont think it would be as fast, say on the cartoons, as the legendary dogs would.

And did anyone consider that once Porygon/P2 enter cyberspace (as only they can do) theyd be travelling at the speed of light?

Well, my vote's gonna go out for Arcanine. ^_____^ In Japanese, Arcanine's name mean "Windy". This name also reflects on how elegant and fast Arcanine is when it runs. Some even say it looks like it's flying! 8D
