(A/N: This title doesn't really match the story ^^; This is just a short little...thing, that came to mind.)

-

She smiled that fake smile. The smile that she wears when she is around me. It's nothing like the smiles she flaunts to her friends. She had such pretty teeth. A pretty smile. But the one she shows me is ugly. It shows her true self, how awful she is.

"Hello..." Her voice tugs at my innards, making me want to puke. I hate the feeling. The taste of bile tingles at the back of my throat, threatening to emerge in a wave of exhaustion and the taste of acid burning my tongue.

I merely nod in return, as she greet me, every morning. I dare not waste my breath on her, she would suffocate me then, if I did. She would drink the life from me, and I would become a shell. Fragile.

Usually, when I step into the room, she greets me. And then I take a seat. and then Alan greets me...He is the God of my world, the cheese on a pizza. His dark brown hair and blue eyes a perfect match to my own, I could sit and stare at him for hours, and never get bored at the sight. Every step he takes is like a horses; sturdy. He will never be knocked over. I walk behind him in the halls just to smell his cologne, and to watch the corners of his lips as he turns to greet his friends. I have no friends, so I never smile. His pants cling to his waist, too large for him, so his unders stick out a little. But only when he bends over, and his shirt moves. His hands, oh, his hands. Beautiful things. Moving smoothly to where he bids them to move. His fingers are perfect, not long, short, fat, or thin. Perfect. Oh, when that boy's arm barely rushes against mine, oh! A rush of warmth, his warmth, engulfs my pitiful body. He is, truly, a God walking this earth.

I usually try to sit near him, yet away, so he doesn't see me and my hideous face. He always laughs with his friends, and I smile, my real smile. His hair bounces perfectly, and his gaze rolls across the faces of the other people in the room.

The moment would be perfect, as I stare at the back of his head, but...she has to ruin it!

Interesting fan-fic concept ^^, this story seems to be about a loner girl at school who has a huge crush on a boy she knows she proberly can't have, but adores so much anyway, and there seems to be another girl who is close to him that she really dislikes.

Excellent description here, you throughly told the setting and the main character's personality. I really enjoyed when you typed, "The taste of bile tingles at the back of my throat, threatening to emerge in a wave of exhaustion and the taste of acid burning my tongue." That really shows her dislike for that other girl.....its great XD.

The length is really short though, maybe you had to go and couldn't add as much as you wanted or planned it like that as a "cliff hanger" ^^. But all in all, nicely done on the first part, all it needs to be is longer now ^^'

Also, I love the remix of "Milkshake" that you have in your avatar XD.

OMG, I just noticed that avitar too Lance!!! xD;; It's soooo cute!! Anyways, on to the story: there is a girl you don't like, possibly, the girlfriend of your crush... You are obsessed with him, but think you can't have him... It leaves me hanging [T.T] Plus, it's pretty sad. It shows a really negitive attitude, which many of us can have... I'll be waiting for the next installment ^__^ Keep it up! ~origin

(When last I left...)

She sits next to him, smiling. For real. My smile fades, drifting into nothing but the smooth paper of my skin. I'm paler than the whites of one's eyes, he doesn't deserve to waste his eyesight on such a creature as myself. She hangs on his arm, giggling at a cheesy joke here and there, making the bile creep up. My ears burn with my anger towards her, they burn red. My arms under the desk, she turns and smirks at me as my pencil snaps, and he turns as well. His eyes, his beautiful eyes...they meet mine. His gaze lingers for a moment, before he turns back to his friends, and I sit, longing for the pools of blue that once saw me, wasted their strength on my sight.

His gorgeous teeth formed into a smile, his brow furrowed, he is the eighth world wonder. But he is hers. She is not his. It is obvious in the way he smiles at her...he has five smiles. A smile when he is around her, one when he is with his friends, one when he is smiling just to be polite, one when something was incredibly funny, and one when he isn't around friends, but around people like me.

Every day, the teacher must ask them to return to their seats. She hangs onto his arm until the teacher has to yell at her. My ears cool, and my hideously stringy hair falls into my face. Always.

(Ooh, more later. I'm lazy now. I'll write more tomorrow. Maybe.)

(When last I left...)

Every day, the teacher must ask them to return to their seats. She hangs onto his arm until the teacher has to yell at her. My ears cool, and my hideously stringy hair falls into my face. Always.

As the bell- well, it's a tone- rings, we stand and head to our next class. He is there. Alan is. He sits in my row, yet he is not close enough for speaking. Then he doesn't have a clear view of my face. Good. She is not there. She in is another class. She cannot make me sick, now.

This teacher lets us play music in the headphones. We bring out CDs, and the sounds pour from the earphones into our heads, pleasuring our ears. Natalie Merchant is my choice for this day. This day.

I drop the disc on the drawer and it closes, playing the music. The woman's smooth voice flows into my ears like wind, and I skip to one song, and hit the 'repeat' button. I am in love with this song, but it is no God, unlike the male sitting mere feet from me.

Top of the fold
Toast of the town
Everyone stops when you come around
They hold their breath for you

I can barely make out the voice of the teacher saying something like 'go ahead and start typing'. I hate this class. No. I hate it with a passion so firey, not even a million tears could douse the flames. It would take eighteen times that many tears to put a dent in the hatred I have for her.

Heroes are born
Idols are made
We're all fools for this factory fame
And you've got the brand new face

You've got the brand new face
Golden boy

I opened my previously saved document, and began typing. I always watch him type as I take breaks, between sections. Ever so slowly, he looks up. He must've felt my gaze burning into the side of his head. I quickly move my eyes back to the keyboard.

Beauty untamed
Stupid and wild
Poster boy, you're society's child
Cut your teeth
Cut your mouth
Cut it out

The speaker on the wall crackled loudly, and we turned down our headphones, slowing the flow of watery sound. "Miss Eidenier, we need Alan for a few minutes..." The male's voice creaked.

Alan stood and my gaze followed, never once leaving his perfectly shaped body until he was out of sight. The music deafened me once more.

Meteor rise from obscurity
All it took was a killing spree
And the whole world was lying at your feet
Golden boy

The song played over at least twenty-four times before the tone sounded. The last grouping of words echo in my mind, from my chosen song.

I know my place
Stick to my lines
Stay in your shadow
Don't block your light

So you can shine divine
Golden boy

Reminds me of him.

'I do know my place, it is in your shadow, Alan. I shall never stand before you, opposing you, nor shall I have enough credentials to stand near your side. I shall be there, doing your biddings, never questioning you. You will shine divine, my God, you will.'

-Fin.

(O.o Hmm...This section is wierd, reminding me of my keyboarding class...I feel so pitiful ^^)
