Like The Start Each Word With A Capital-ness!
Really, though I think it's best if you let the visitorssee the work you are doing, showing you didn't just copy it!

You'll lose vistors that way. If you leave it open, you'll show the vistors that you are updating and trying to make your site the best and the new vistors will stay. It's best to leave it open.

I agree, it's a bad idea. Hiatuses mean lost hits, and it takes a while to bring the site back up to where it was. Let the visitors see the updates, and they'll come back for more.

Well that was a stupid post the whole point of this thread is to get the opinion of other people. Think before you post :P
I think that you should keep it open cause I closed down my site for repairs for just a week and I lost alot of members.

You already have some pages, and you will lose visitors if you close because they will say to themselves, "Oh yeah, that site is closed" and might not check back for a while.

Believe me, it just hurts more than it helps. Every time WCC has been down for even a day or two, I go from 70-80 unique hits per day to 20-30. And it takes at least a week or two to recover. I'm just getting back from some downtime, and I got about 35 unique hits per day for the past week or so. Today, though, was my best day ever- I got almost 200 unique. But still, it's not a good idea to have excessive downtime, because you lose visitors left and right.

meh....trust me NOT a good idea XD when Pokemon Sky first came out we had well over 100 hits daily (kinda hard to belive) but than we started having host problems and everytime Pokemon Sky IS back (which is only like a month since the host problem started) I only get like 30 hits a day XD so dont close it down.....

In my opinion, P706 has become more unstable than a 1 year old driving a car.
Make sure if you DO for some reason go down...
Make backup of your changing files every now and again.
Have somewhere else you can reconfigure your short URL / DNS to.
