Name your top five sequels of all time.
Resident Evil 2
Twisted Metal 2
Tomb Raider 2
THPS 2
Golden Sun 2
(not in any particular order)
I don't know why the second game in a series tends to always be better than the first and third....but picks up again at 4. Have you noticed this as well...?

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is a prequel people! Not a sequel, stop listing it.
I prefer the originals (or in OoT's case the prequels), they set the story they give you the first taste of the game's magic. I loved Banjo-Kazooie, but Banjo-Tooie (while a great game, possibly better than the original) just didn't feel right. It was missing the wonder you got from playing the original for the first time.
I like the first of a series based on dimension. For example...Super Mario Bros. for 2D and Super Mario 64 to 3D. Anything after isn't revolutionary, it's just evolutionary and looses the magic (Super Mario 64 -> Super Mario Sunshine). Sometimes the evolution is better (I loved Super Mario World), but often it just looses the magic although they are still very fun to play.

Also little note sweeties, Metroid Prime 2 Echoes is the sequel to Metroid Prime BUT a prequel to Metroid 2: The Return of Samus. :P
Anyway my favorite sequels played are:
Pokémon :P
Super Metroid (Sequel to Metroid 2: The Return of Samus :P)
Super Mario World (Sequel to Super Mario Bros. 3, it oringally was known as well as Super Mario Bros. 4)
Mother 2 AKA Earthbound outside Japan (Sequel to Mother, AKA Earthbound Zero)
SUPER SMASH BROS. MELEE!!!!!111oneoneoneone
Star Fox 64
That's all I can think of at the moment sweeties. ^^;

Personally, I usually prefer originals to sequels, but here are some games that I found better than the first.
Sypro: Ripto's Range (The best in the series.)
Banjo-Tooie
Super Smash Brothers Melee
PS: Shadow, how did you get Digimon 2 working? Everyone I know who bought it couldn't get it to save or even start up.

The store there must have gotten a defective batch or something. O.o Were you using a Gameshark or other cheating device? Maybe it isn't compatible with PS2 (I usually play my Plastation 1 games on my PS1 due to many of my games either going slower or having compatiblity errors with the PS2).
