considering the forum section this is in, i'd say that's obvious. i've been playing pokemon since gen 1 and have at least one game from each generation.
currently, i'm working on black 2, and am looking for pal pad buddies. mostly for join avenue, but trading and battles are good too XD

Wonderful to meet you, matsuko. <3 Welcome to PC! I've been playing Pokemon since Gen 1 as well...dating all the way to Red. I'm looking forward to Pokemon XY...only if I can get a 3DS. xD
Anyways, since you're looking for Black 2 buddies, we have two sections for you to check out! One is the Trade Corner (http://www.pokecommunity.com/forumdisplay.php?f=161). If you're looking for a certain Pokemon or you're willing to trade a few away, you can always do that. You also have the option to create your own trade shop. :) It's actually fun to run a shop in the community.
Another option is the Battle Center (http://www.pokecommunity.com/forumdisplay.php?f=234'), where battles (competitive or casual) take place there. :) You can either do wifi or online battles...we even have our own Showdown server there.
Both of those sections are greats places to meet friends, possibly forever friends! :) Jump in there and well, have a great time!

New you are indeed! Welcome to PokeCommunity, matsuko. n~n
I've been playing since the first generation too and still have my old Pokemon games. They probably won't work very well anymore, but I did test out Crystal a few months back and it had no problems at all. Now if only my Animal Crossing game for the DS was as cooperative, baha. Like Meganium said, you'll find people aplenty to connect with if you stop by the Trade Corner or Battle Center, though those are mostly for trading and battling respectively. You're more than welcome to leave a note in your signature if you're searching for people to play with as well! That's always a great use for a signature and you might just run into some cool people that way. I only recently got Wi-Fi so I think I'm finally ready to work on my Join Avenue.. the poor thing is totally empty. :(
Stop by the fifth generation board while you're at it if you're looking to discuss Black 2! You can even log your adventures in the Unova Travel Journal (http://www.pokecommunity.com/showthread.php?t=297424), so there's a whole bunch of fun things to do around here. The regulars would be thrilled to have more people stop by! On that note, perhaps you can delve into other generation discussion boards too, especially if you have a game from every generation. Surely that means you're a big fan and have lots 'n lots to talk about. We'll likely run into each other as well.. despite how big PC is, you'd be surprised with how many people you see in different parts of the forum.
If you're looking for a friend, I'm always around as well! Having a friend will make it much more worthwhile to keep checking back. I know how tough it can be at first since I was super shy when I joined under this account and it took me a month or two to finally open up. I'd love to help you out so you don't end up in the same boat. :D;
Enjoy your stay and see you around!

Hi Matsuko, welcome to PC! I think I did see you around the forum a bit so glad to see you're settling in well.
I heavily advise what Meganium90 said and go check out the Trade Corner and Battle Center sections here, they are among our more popular sections, and we also have a Pokemon Showdown server where you can chat and battle with fellow members. I happen to be one of the regulars there so feel free to pop by and say hi anytime. I'm usually there as Daikenki, or my other alt Hikamaru. And also, advertising your Friend Code is just fine as long as you keep it to your signature, plus we also have a profile field where you can share them.
And nice to see you playing Black 2, it's one of my favorite games, in fact I'm a big fan of Unova in general. It's just such an awesome region and Castelia City has that awesome feel of a real-life city. Like Cirno said, definitely head over and post in Fifth Generation Gaming, which has a Travel Journal where you can record your progress, as well as the Quick Questions threads where if you need help on your game, just leave a question and someone will be able to help you. We have sections covering the other games too, so go check them out if you can.
And if you need a new friend, I'm always open. Making friends here will make your experience here more fun, and I remember how shy I was back in 2011 when I joined PC and it took me ages to get to the amount of friends I have now, over 2 years as a member. And remember, read the rules or ask moderators like Cirno if you need help!
