Website :

This is a simply stupendous book by Fredrick Forsythe, which takes us across a magical journey andaction and adventure are equally mixed here.It is based on the dictatorship of French president Charles De Gaulle and how a secret organization OAS which hates him attempts to kill him. Many OAS attempts fail due to the killers’s incompetence and also due to the infiltration of the French secret service.
Thus in a desperate bid OAS spends its final resources on a world class proffesional assassin who calls himself “The Jackal”.

The Author takes us along an impending journey through the minds of so many people & expresses their feelings superly. The French leaders who have got wind of the OAS plan, assign the job of hunting him to Detective Claude. The story takes place in many Western European countries but mainly in France & England. In the first part, we see the OAS Minds and how they hire the Jackal and how he gets on his moves. In the 2nd, we see the jackal’s long journey as hides his tracks and how the French hunt for him. The final Chapter superbly takes us into the mind of the Jackal as he hides, disguises and uses all his tact to get ready for the Grand move to kill the president. What will happen to the day of the jackal – Read on to find out. Fredrick has wonderful woven the web of this book and the narration is awesome. A must read for those above 14.

A Walk To Remember - Nicholas Sparks

Rating - 3 stars and a half

Rated - PG
General Feelings - Recommended for any sappy romantic like me who loves to cry. This book was really good, no too descriptive kissing scenes, and NO sex scenes at all. =D It shows you that love comes from the heart. The characters were real and the book being in first person, gives us a close feel with the main character.

The Good -
- Slow relationship development, and NOT love at first sight.
- Characters that feel real, even though Jamie seems weird in the beginning, in the end she reveals that she has doubts too.
- No x-rated material.
- Down to earth, plain background.
- Touching story that shows the changes in the main character, though slowly.
- Un-predictible ending. (For me atleast)
- How the title relates to the ending...

The Bad -
- Too predictible, ruins the fun of reading. (Major points ducked off)
- Main female character (Jamie) seems too... GOOD at first sight.

*bumpity* xD
- Pretty Pony~
In the end... Very good story, though has some strong Christian material in it. Touching and weepy, all that stuff. xD
