Seeing as my Nintendo Movies thread got kicked out of Other Games and into here (that's the definition of irony I tell you!), I guess a thread on Video Game Music should go here.
I don't mean, like turning on your game and not touching any buttons so that you can listen to the music, nor do I mean the soundtracks or the emulated music (which I love).
I mean like when other people make their own "arrangements" from a song. Some of my favourites include MetroidMetal, OneUp Mushrooms/Studios, and Zelda REOrchestrated. There's OverClocked Remix too, but everyone knows that one.
I suppose you can talk about official arrangements here too. Like when they become orchestrated.

I got a SSBM CD with Nintendo Official Magazine. I think it was of when an orchestra performed in Tokyo sometime in 2003. It's really good, and makes all the songs orchestrated and they sound a lot better this way. It was officially authorised by Nintendo as well, so they must have liked it ^_^

I like "Smashing...Live!: Live Orchestra Music", I think Pokémon Medley is the best track on there. I would never have thought that orchestrated Pokémon music would sound good.
Anyone ever listen to some of the Orchestral Game Concerts/Game Music Concerts?

I have the Mario and Zelda Big Band Live CD...and who knew game music sounded this good!
Not to mention one of the tracks on there got my dad dancing!

Well, I don't know the name of it, but I really like the SSBM intro music. ^^ I also like the intro music for MP2. It sounds so awsome. xD

I downloaded like half of the Kingdom Hearts soundstrack.
I used to have the Metal Gear Solid soundtrack, but my brother has it.
And I have this one song from one of the Dragon Ball Z games that only came out in japan *baught the game imported*

Yeah some of the fan arranged music like OneUp is briliant. Some days when I'm in Christmas mode, I'd hear the Mario Christmas special. Never fails to brighten my day!
Haven't had a chance to get my hands on other fan arranged game OSTs but the ones I end up getting from my friends are all techno remixes of Sonic and even Pokemon that sound very, very tacky.

That's the one I'm one about. The Pokemon one is really good on it, quite long though. Well, I don't know the name of it, but I really like the SSBM intro music. ^^ I also like the intro music for MP2. It sounds so awsome. xD The song title for the SSBM intro music is simply called Opening.
