PHPBB, I need help.

I just recently got a pre-installed forum at createforums or something. And I want to add more admins at the bottom, not just Adminstration, Moderator, I want Super-Moderator and other postions. How do I do that?

I think(I'm not sure, havent used phpbb) you have to create new usergroups.
And this goes in Webbys.

Yes, you would have to create a new usergroups and give them permissons to do stuff. ~*Moves to Webmaster's

Go to the Admin CP (a link to it should be at the bottom of your forum) then on the bar with all the things, click permissions.

I tried that, It still just says " [ Administrator ] [ Moderator ] " I would post my board up for spefic help but thats agenst the rules....

Last I heard, phpBB needs a hack to do super mods. Just another thing I despise about it... -_-

That's for coloring the username for ranks. To make usergroups like S-Mods, go into the Admin Panel, go to Ranks under User Admin and create the rank of S-Mod or whatever. The, under Group Admin, create a group like S-Mod. Then go to permissions and edit the permissons to mod all forums.

I was pretty sure phpBB has G-mod built in. It doesn't? Maybe it's because you're using a pre-setup one.

phpBB has no pre-SMod in it. You'll have to add a hack to get the extra little color at the bottom.

I can't remember for my soul what it's called though.

Like I said, there isn't. You need to install a hack to get it.

That would explain it. Pre-hacked phpBBs normally have that.

You must be thinking of Invision, because phpBB doesn't have SMod at all. >_> DK3 has even less features. <_<

You can create a usergroup to moderate forums, but there isn't an "Mod All Forums," without any kind of a hack.

I dont think thats a hack... I need to find a place with nice free FTP hosting, for PHPBB, It needs to be fast, and big...

Funpic is good, but I suggest www.mihopa.com, great space (more than Funpic) and almost unlmited bandwidth. So it'll be very easy for you to install a forum. It has a top class CPANEL and you get a big amount of MySQL Databases along with many pre-installed scripts.

Heck, if you want to install a PHPBB forum, it has a prewritten script which itself installs the forum in the place you specify according to your wishes. I promise. Mihopa is not giving that many free hostings currently but the owner is my friend and I can get you one. PM me for more.
