The DS has a lot of features that the previous GameBoy systems didn't have. Features such as two screens, touch screen, voice recognition.
How would you like to see these features incorporated into Pokemon Diamond/Pearl?
And try to be inventive with the suggestions ;)

You select thru all menus with the Stylus... Maybe ya have to give orders to yar Pokémon by calling them... There are infinite possibilities, and we just have to wait...

it'd be cool if you could have timed battle commands with the mic, like how ash tells pikachu to use an attack at the same time as anothee pokemon's attack. i know this would take away the whole turn-based theme, but if it was limited ot only once per battle, that'd be cool as a like a "special" or something...at least i think so

if your trainer could be fully coustomisable... ie. clothes hair eyes... and things like that... you could even coustomize the way your pc is set up... and i mean like having it be like a pc and not like a inta storage device...

I don't know how Nintendo are going to incorporate the DS' new features, but they'd better do something with them. It'll probably just be using the stylus to make attacks, or something like that. I don't suspect there'll be major uses of the microphone or the touch screen or anything.

I would like an interactive pokedex on the touch screen during battles, and the other screen is like the normal one (you should be able to scan an enemy and get details before you catch it, then have really detailed descriptions once you catch one)
Out of battle it should be your bag, gear, etc.

I'd love to be able to yell out the battle command. Maybe like, to make Snorlax use Snore, say "SNORLAX, use SNORE!", and to switch, say "Switch to MOLTRES". And for items, say "Open Bag, use POTION", etc.

That's the one thing I don't want to do. If I'm playing it in a street or something, the last thing I want is for people to hear me shouting out battle commands. Maybe if you could turn it off, then I wouldn't mind it XD

Battle Commands sounds cool, but as Mr. C D said, it may be anoying, but about that you can use the touch screan to move and choose where to beat the other Pokemon, it would rock XD

It would be great if we could have a screenshot of this... By the looks of it, this looks like it'll have N64 type of graphics, so maybe attacking will be like N64. With those graphics... I don't know, I just want to see real animations for attacks i.e a flamethrower really coming from the mouth. I think the graphics would be a bit overworld, but with a bit of an angle to it. (Like Harvest Moon for GC)

I'd like to see the touch screen used to make the battles more active. A bit like in Paper Mario 2, but not as reliant on it. Like maybe when the enemy Pokemon attacks, a small line/bar appears on the touch screen with a ball-type thing moving quickly from left to right on it, and if you touch the ball when it is directly in the centre of the bar, the attack misses.
Or when you attack you have to rub the stylus up and down the touch screen, and the more times you do it determines the ammount of damage the attack does.

I'd like to be able to actually tell the pokemon the Attack.Like "Pikachu Use Thunderbolt".It probobly won't happen but i'd like to see it.

You could use the stylus to choose where attacks are aimed (not ones like surf and blizzard, though) so hitting the opponent's weak spot isn't random.

Voice recognition is a cool idea, but you have to think about Languages and accents though. England is a small country and there is a load of different accents, so that may be the big problem

I really like that idea. A Pokedex like in the show. For instance, if your opponent sends out a Pikachu, it would automatically switch to it. I would also like a map where when you are walking, it has city and/or town maps on half the screen, and an overall world map on the other. I expect that they will most likely put a map, as that is what most DS games have.

Designing a trainer would be nice, as you currently get stuck with someone:
#1. You hate the looks of, or
#2. Looks absolutely nothing like you, or
#3. Looks so much like you it is creepy

I would buy the game if it were lg for ds if they added the trainer customzation because that like changes the whole game for me.

I know that this is kinda off subject but, you already know the DS has a communication range of 66 ft. I saw a GBA SP wireless adaptor that had the comm. reach of 3 miles! I highly doubt this though, I'd have to see it myself.

Iwpuld like it if they incorporated the trainer customization kind of like they did in the Harvest moon game for the gbc.

Designing your character wouldn't be great, since the game will most likely still use sprites. So it would be pretty insignifigent.

What would also be cool is if you were able to choose which kind of trainer you wanted to be, IE a bug catcher, cooltrainer, lass, etc.
And thats what your character sprite would be.
Of course, then we'd see millions of cooltrainers.

Character customization would be limited, but it would make a difference. Being able to choose hair, skin color, clothes etc would make the player feel that much more into the game.
It will probably use sprites but the difference will still be worth having, especially if the graphics are improved more than FR/LG. And player customization is a nice part of the games that are smart enough to include it.
