Great Heroes: A Pikachu's Journey

Deep in the Uncharted Region of Kojen, in Chipper Woods, to be exact, a pikachu and his friends set off on a journey to retrieve four gems to save their home. The gems each contain the power of one of the four main elements, Thunder, Fire, Water, and Grass. This RP will be in five parts, four for retrieving the gems and one for saving Chipper Woods. The first part will be the Thunder gem, this one.

It all started...pretty much like any other day, I guess. As I watched the sun peek over the horizon, I sleepily woke up, plodded over to a bright spot on my favorite stump, and relaxed in the warmth that gave the entire world life...

You see, Grass Pokemon like me often do not need to eat in the mornings. In my case, I absorb the sunlight through my bulb--and it gives me enough strength for the whole day.

So on this partuclar morning, I couldn't resist watching the other Pokemon awaken and greet the new day. Pidgeys were scratching the ground for Caterpies, a group of Pikachus were romping in the wildflowers...it all seemed so quiet and peaceful.

Little did I know, that I was about to embark on an adventure of a lifetime...

I woke up that morning feeling great. Just the night before I had played with my friend Saria. Unfortunatly for me, she is such a lazy head in the morning. I mean, all she does when she wakes up is sit on a stump and watch us pikachus play. But anyway, back to me. I had no idea that morning that later in the day me and my friends would get called to the elder and have to set off on a long and dangerous adventure to save our home...

OOC: I'm in the first part.

Sky stretched on the warm grass as the morning light shone between the trees. She sat up and twitched her ears listening to the normal sounds of morning. She scratched her ear and darted off. She was full of energy that morning and felt like finding some one to play with. Her sky blue eyes spotted Red Ear and she darted over to him. "Hi Red Ear. Wanna play tag?"

"Wow! An Eevee!" A human trainer with a Scyther came running up to Silver, already grabbing a Pokeball to catch him in. "You will be my first caught Pokemon! Go, Scyther!" Silver turned to face the insect Pokemon, only to see it resting against a tree. "Dad told me you were too strong...Well, I'll just have to use my luck!"

The trainer threw a Pokeball at Silver, but he dodged it and ran to a cliff overlooking lots of grassy, green land. "Dumb Eevee...Are you gonna get caught, or jump?" Silver sat down near the edge and waited to get caught. He even turned around to get rid of the risk of getting hit in the face. "Pokeball, go!" Silver heard the Pokeball and continued to sit. Suddenly, something that felt like a rock knocked him in the back of the head and pushed him off the cliff, unconscious. The last thing he heard was "Oops, forgot to activate it...Oh well..." Everything black out as he landed on a Pikachu that was near it's friend...

My solitude was interrupted as an Eevee landed on top of a Pikachu. He looked like he had been running from a human that had wanted to catch him.

I hopped off my stump and ran to see what all the commotion was, much less if the Eevee was okay.

My mind wandered as I rushed to help...humans didn't come very often to the forest, but when they did, they often came to catch one of us. Thankfully, I didn't have to worry too much...most of my kind could only be given to very wise humans, who in turn gave them to younger humans as their first Pokemon.

I brushed these thoughts off as I found the Eevee lying on top of a Pikachu, dazed. "Are you okay?" I called.

"Sure, Sky, let's go." I began running after her, the breeze blowing my fur and making my eyes water. But after a bit I saw Silver lying on top of one of my other friends, so I ran over to investigate. "Hey, Saria, what happened to Silver?" I asked, my eyes filled with concern for my friend.

[EmeraldSky]

"A human tried to catch him," I explained as I made a soft place made of vines for Silver to lie on. "and he ran straight off a cliff! The human had a Scyther with him, if I remember correctly."

[Alana]

"Humans." Said Sky shaking her head. She looked at Silver then up at the cliff. "Bet he doesn't really care about Pokemon at all." She sat up and perked her ears. "He's gone. Jerk." She sat back down and wagged her tail irratably.

"Well, at least Silver wasn't caught. Then we would have never seen him again." I shook my head and then looked at Sky, "Hey Sky, I just remembered something, The elder Firegill wants to see me, you, Saria, Silver, and Kane, and uhhhh, Mudder." I said to her. "But we have to wait for Silver to wake up first.

OOC: everyone is in the RP from the beginning to the end. Oh, and does everyone want to wait until this part is over before starting the next part-

I gave Silver a little nudge. "You okay?"

Nothing.

But he was still breathing, and I could feel a pulse. "He's just a little stunned, that's all."

OOC: There's an Eevee part?

Silver's eyes snapped open, and he was looking at Sky. "MONSTER!!! Run for your lives!!! Wait, it's just Sky." Silver got up and tested his paws to see if they worked. "Well, I'm fine! I could take on ANYTHING! A Steelix! A herd of untame Tauros! An Usaring that can use Strike Laser Claw! Sky when she's angry! Well, maybe not the last one."

[Alana]

Sky snickered and grinned. "You have learned well young Eevee." She plaeced her hand on his shoulder." And now that you know, I must eat you." She grinned again exposing fangs like a vampires. She moved forward grinning eveily. "I bet Eevee's taste good when fried." She stopped and moved her toungue around in her mouth. She twisted her mouth some then pulled out the fake vampire teeth looked at them then put them back in her mouth in a more comfortable position. "Now uh, yeah now I'm gonna eat you."

[EmeraldSky]

"Sky, cut that out!" I snapped. "We need to go see what Sir Firegill wants of us...it's very rare for him to call ordinary Pokemon like us!"

[Alana]

"Alright." Said Sky taking out the fake teeth and pretending to look dejected. She cut it out and said, "So what do you think he wants us for? I can't wait to find out. Shall we head over to see him now?"

[EmeraldSky]

"Come on!" I called as I led the others down the path to Firegill's grotto.

OOC: What species is Firegill, anyway?

OOC: a charizard.

IC: "Yeah, let's go." I run off up the path towards Firegill's. "Better hurry guys, its probaly something big!" I yell behind me.

[EmeraldSky]

We all hurried as fast as we could towards the cave where Firegill lived. He was the one who ruled this forest, and every Pokemon respected his every word...lest you be roasted to a crisp.

Despite his firm rule, Firegill also had a softer side too...but judging from how urgently he had summoned us, I knew that this was a big deal.

A Vulpix met us at the cave entrance. "Welcome. Master Firegill is expecting you." With that, we all trudged into the cold and dark cave...

[Alana]

Sky was becoming more serious but was still a bit jumpy and excited. "Oh good" She replied to the Vulpix's words. "I can't wait to find out what he called us for. It must be improtant."

"I can't wait either. But I hope he doesn't get angry." I walk behind the others, afriad because unlike them, I had actually seen Firegill angry. "Hurry up, guys."

[EmeraldSky]

After walking for a while, we came inside the main chamber of the grotto--and Firegill stood waiting.

I couldn't help admiring his bright orangy scales and majestic wings...and his brightly burning tail provided the only light in the dark room.

We stood, silent, for a moment, then listened as the awe inspiring fire dragon spoke to us. "Welcome, my children." His deep baritone voice seemed comforting at first, but I could also detect a note of sadness in the way he greeted us.

"Greetings, Master." I replied, bowing low as a sign of respect.

[Alana]

Sky bowed too. "Hello Master Firegill." She said her sky blue eyes shining with admiration. Her tone was full of respect and alight curiousity. "What help can I be of you?" She asked looking up at him.

[EmeraldSky]

"We have a grave situation on our hands, my children." Firegill began. "You are all familar with the four Guardian Stones of our world: the Lightning Topaz, the Flaming Ruby, the Ocean Sapphire, and the Terra Emerald..."

We nodded, because our parents had always told us that if the four stones were present at Celebi's Shrine in the center of the forest, there would be peace.

"What happened?" I asked.

"A few nights ago, some evil humans entered the forest and took the stones from the shrine. Then, they hid them in four well guarded caves throughout the world." Firegill continued. "Why they want them, I do not know, but know this: The humans have devised many evil creatures and traps to keep others from taking the stones.

"I'm going to try and get the stones back!" I cried, appalled by the mere fact that the very stones that guarded our forest were gone. The others nodded in agreement.

"So...you accept the quest of getting the stones back?" Firegill asked me.

"I will...although we don't know where the caves are." I stammered.

"Then I have some information for you..." and Firegill blew out a wisp of smoke into the room, which formed into an image of four humans walking on a path. "These four humans are going to be entering the forest soon...but do not be afraid...they just wish to stop and rest here on their travels." He paused to blow another puff of smoke into the room, which formed the image of a male human with a hat on his head. I also noticed that a Pikachu was sitting on the human's shoulder, content. "This human knows the location of the first cave, so when he and his companions arrive, find their camp and speak with him. Understand?"

"I do Master Firegill." I turn around, saying quickly to everyone else, "Come on, let's get going." I start to walk out of the cave, not looking back to see if everyone is behind me.

[EmeraldSky]

"Remember, find a male human with a hat on his head!" I reminded everyone as we hurried out into the forest.

We ran for a while, until we came to a bush nearby a tree to rest. I volunteered to watch for the humans, and climbed to the top, where I could see.

It seemed like an eternity, and I was about to give up, when I heard voices and laughter wafting into the clearing, awakening me from my slumber. Sure enough, four humans were entering the clearing...and it had appeared they had traveled far on their journey.

"Guys? Want me to describe the humans for you?" I asked.

[Alana]

Sky pricked her ears and sat up yaning. "Don't tell me one has a hat with a Pikachu?" She said scampering up her. She looked out at the four humans tilting her head from side to side. "I've only seen humans a few times and only one of them was friendly. These trainers seem nice and look like they get along with their Pokemon too.

[EmeraldSky]

"Okay...three of them are males and one's a female." I noted. "The female has a scarf on her head...she's putting her tent up by the youngest of the males....the oldest of the males looks like he's starting a cooking fire...I can't see the third male yet."

[Alana]

Sky looked at them curiously. She bounced on her small feet wagging her tail back and forth. She saw a small male with funny things over his eyes. "He looks weird and funny." She said pointing at him. Then before she said anything else she darted out of the bushes and came face with another Pikachu. She stopped dead and stared at him. He did the same.

[EmeraldSky]

"Pika!" the Pikachu yelped in surprise.

"Hey, we're not going to hurt you..." I assured the Pikachu, but before I could say any more, I heard my stomach growl. "..but do you know where we can get something to eat?"

"Pika chu!" the Pikachu replied, and motioned for us to follow.

As we arrived in the humans' camp, I noticed the oldest male human was adding a sort of meat to some already simmering vegetables in the cooking pot. "Mmm...that smells delicious..." I mused, taking a big sniff of the wonderful aroma.

Just then, the human noticed our presence. "Looks like Pikachu invited some friends over to have dinner with us." he smiled.

"Oh, he did?" the female human laughed as she tended to a Beautifly.

"When are we going to have our sing along?" the youngest human begged.

[Alana]

Sky smiled happily at the oldest human. She looked at what he was cooking with interest. She was curious about it so she scampered over and looked inside. A dealicous smelling stew was brewing. "That smells really good." She said backing up and sitting down wagging her tail and blinking her bright blue eyes with curiousity.

[EmeraldSky]

"What's going on?" a third human with a hat on his head asked as he emerged from his shelter with some bottled drinks.

"Pikachu brought a few friends over to have dinner and sing with us." the female human explained as a Combusken brought a bowl of the meat/vegetable mixture to her.

"How sweet." the human started, but the youngest human cut him off. "Play that dance tune you're practicing on!"

"Okay, okay..." With that, the human reached for a strange brownish object with four strings with black pegs at the end of it and a stick with what looked like fur on it. "Ready?" he asked, placing the object under his chin.

"Pika!" the Pikachu replied.

"Busken!" the Combusken agreed.

"All right..." and the human began to very lightly stroke the strings of the object with the stick, making a warm, voice like sound fill the air.

"Woo-hoo!" The female human decided to skip to the sounds the object was making, but I couldn't resist moving my head to the beautiful sounds either.

[Alana]

Sky smield ahppily and moved her head back and forth swaying form one foot to the other. She walked over to the youngest human and looked at the thing her was rubbing the stick against. "What is it?" She asked her eyes shining happily. She looked at the female human and wondered over to her. She watched her for a minute then began to imitate her.

[EmeraldSky]

"Well, since we're all playing music here..." and I saw the eldest human reach for a yellowish brown object...but unlike the other human's object, this object had no stick, two extra strings...and odd metal pieces in the places I assumed he placed his fingers on.

I watched as the human adjusted the six strings on his object, then began to pluck the strings with his fingers, making a mesmerizing pling-plung sound that complimented the other human's object wonderfully. Every so often, I saw the human's hand change positions on the row of metal pieces, which created a different sound every time.

The other human joined in with his object, and the femle danced again...only this time the other Pokemon began clapping in time to the different sounds.

[Alana]

Sky stopped dacning and listened to all the different sounds together. It was a beautiful song really. The girl continued to dance so Sky joined her again. She added her own little part to the dance by wagging her tail in tune to the beat. The girl laughed as she watched Sky copying her.

[EmeraldSky]

"Okay...let's all sing!" and the eldest human began to strum the strings on his object a little harder and quicker than before...and then he sang:

As I came in from Saffron City, at the hour of twelve at night,
Who should I spy but an island lady washing her feet by the candlelight.
First she washed them, then she dried them, over a fire of amber coals...
In all my life I ne'er did see a maid so sweet about the soul...

What for me toora loora laddie, what for me toora loora lay; what for me toora loora laddie, what for me toora loora hey, hey hey! the youngest male and the female human sang as the other human joined in on his object...

"Neat, isn't it, Sky." I said, walking up. "Next time you run off, remember me, please." I sit down and shake my head to the music.


OOC: please slow down a little please everyone.

"Aren't these objects amazing?" I smiled. "Master Firegill says that the object the eldest human is using is called a 'guitar'; and the object with the stick is popularly called a 'fiddle'."

[Alana]

OOC: Sorry pokefan

Sky looked at Red Ear nodding happily. She left the human girl to dance on her own for a while so she could take a break. She sat down beside Red Ear and scratched her ear still bouncing around. This caused her to fall over. She blinked and got back up now just swaying to the music.

[EmeraldSky]

"Shh! They're fixing to play another song!" I shushed as the humans readied their objects to play again, only this song was calm and relaxing. Then, the female human began to sing:

Epona, Epona, come out here by me...
As long as I see you out here, I never shed lonely tears.

Tell me now, Epona, since you're here with me...
We shall rest here together, and our dreams will grow!

However, as wind blows and rain becomes like snow...
As the fire of dawn comes again...
The moon, it is setting now, rising is the sun...
Along with its bright light, you return...

Tell me now, Epona, since you're here with me...

With that, the guitar and fiddle played together for a moment, then the female human sang again:

"She sounds so pretty..." I commented.

[Alana]

Sky nodded. She closed her eyes and listened to the words then began to hum as she got the tune. She couldn't sing human words so she was contempt to just sit and listen with the others as the female continued to sing. Perhaps I can go with them after our journey is complete. Thought Sky thiking about battling along side a trainer. It was strange. That thought had never entered her mind before.

'Pretty music' I looked at the humans and then at Sky, scratching her ear. "You know, I've only seen a nice human one time before this. And that makes...let's see, ah yes, five."

[Alana]

Sky nodded. "Same here." She said in a dreamy voice still thinking about having a kind trainer like these. Her nose began to twitch as the smell of food became stronger. Her stomach growled and she suddenyl became aware of how hungry she was. "I guess I haven't eaten in a while. I hope they serve that stew. It smells so good. Do you think they'll share it with us Red Ear?"

[EmeraldSky]

Just then, I overheard the smallest human say to the one with the hat "Is it true that the Rockets have stolen the guardian stones of the forest?"

"Yeah...I heard Jessie say something about a 'Lightning Topaz' being at their base in Midori City." the human with the hat replied. I gasped--Midori City was not far from here!

"Let's eat, guys..." The eldest human set his instrument aside and returned to his cooking pot, where he began serving the meat and vegetable mixture to the other humans and Pokemon.

OOC: The Thunder gem is the one we'e going after, right?

OOC: yes.

IC: "I hope so, I'm hungry." My nose twitched as the smell of the food hit my nose and I tasted the cooking food on my toungue. "Hmmm, it does smell good, doesn't it Sky?"


OOC: hey, I don't like to say many things about the way things go, but this time I will. This RP takes place in Kojen, a region I made up, and Team Rocket is not found there. Instead, would you please change it to Team Royal(one of the three teams in Kojen)? If you want to know what they are about I will tell you.

OOC: Okay, sorry, I just typed Rocket out of habit, also enlighten me on the towns and cities.

[Alana]

Sky nodded. "Yeah it does." The oldest boy looked at thme and smiled. He placed two bowls of stew on the ground and motioned for them to eat. Sky smiled and jumped happily then sprinted over and sniffed the stew. She ate some and found it tasted better than it smelled. "Come on Red Ear have some."

"Okay." I tasted some then looked back at Sky, smiling. "Yum, this is delicious." I eat some more of the stew then look at the others, "Boy, this is good, huh?"

Sky nodded happily and continued to eat. She sat up and licked her lips then ate some more. "This is the best stew I ever tasted." She said happily licking her lips again. After she finished she flopped down on the ground near the female and smiled up at her.

Melody was sleeping atop a cliff when suddenly, a delicious smell flew up to her nosetrills...
"Hummm... What's that delicious smell?..."
She got up in a hurry, forgetting she was atop a cliff, and then she went rolling down the cliff, and stopped in front of a group of Pokémons, completly dizzy.

OOC: axlefoley read the rules. That's spam even if you didn't mean to.

Sky jumped up and looked at the Jigglypuff. She hurried over to it and helped it to it's feet. "Are you alright?" She asked in concern. The female human walked over too. She smiled at the Jigglypuff after making sure it was ok and gave it some stew. "That was a nasty fall." Said Sky smiling. "So what's your name? I'm Sky."

[EmeraldSky]

"I'm Saria..." I replied to the Jigglypuff. "Pleased to meet you."

"I'm Red Ear. Nice to meet ya." I held my paw out to the jigglypuff and smiled the biggest smile I could. "The stew's really good if you're hungry."

OOC: I want to say something about the Side Characters(all characters not considered to be main characters). I think that if they are important to the plot then the creator of the character(s) should control him/her/it/them unless they give others permission. All side characters not important to the plot(or do not seem important) can be controled by everyone without permission. What do all of you think?

[NiNGi's Worst Nightmare]

Silver jumped from a tree hoping to land a double flip. "Hi! I'm--FALLING!!!" Silver scratched at the air with his paws, only to find it was...well, air. He landed with a thud right in front of everyone. He got up and dusted himself off with a paw. "As I was saying, I'm Silver!"

[Dream Illusionist]

"Whooow"! "Sorry to bother you guys... I'm Melody, and when I smelled that delicious smell..."-Said Melody, still a little dizzy.
"Hmmm... This food is delicious! I haven't ate for five days...!"
"I'm so happy, I think I'm going to sing!"
Melody rose up her mike.

[Alana]

Sky yelped and quickly created a soft purple barrier around herself and her friends. "Please don't. It's alright really. It was nothing. Just please don't sing." She had had expirence with Jigglypuffs song again. She didn't feel like having it again. At least the barrier would block most of the songs affects.

[Dream Illusionist]

"That's mean, you know?"-Said Melody, sadly.
"You guys are also mean!"- She added, seeing that the humans had plugged their ears...

Melody then, started to cry loudly.

[Alana]

"Please don't cry." Siad Sky dropping the barrier and hurrying over to her. "I'm sorry Melody. The song of a Jigglypuff is vyer beautiful but we can't afford to fall asleep right now. We have a mission to complete." Sky was slightly jolted by this. SHe had forgotten about the mission. There had been alot going on in the trainers camp.

[Dream Illusionist]

Melody stopped
"Ok-kay..*sniff*, and if I m-might ask, *sniff* what m-mission is that?

"We have to recover the four gems that protect our forest. They've been taken and now..." I pause, suddenly remembering something, then I turn towards my friends. "Hey, guys, I just remembered. My mom told me to bring it with me and that it might help." I hold up a little yellow berry with a circle of red at the bottom.*

OOC: * hey, everyone, I want to tell ya about that berry. It is called a Pika Berry and it does a couple of different things. For one, if an electric type pokemon eats it, they get stronger, but if a human eats one, he/she turns into a pikachu.

Also, my character, Red Ear, is more than just an ordinary pikachu. He has powers a normal pikachu doesn't. And no, it's not something ultra powerful, more like what Sky can do, but different.

Melody looked at the berry attentively.
"What Berry is that, Red Ear, do you know?"
Melody smelled the berry-"Euh! It smells terribly!"
"Perhaps its a poison berry?"-she asked.

[Alana]

Sky sniffed the berry and looked at it curiously. "I've heard of those but never seen one. They're pretty cool." She smiled at Melody. "I think it smells nice. I guess it just smells different to different Pokemon." She examined the berry again. The humans were looking at it curiously too but didn't come over. Instead they just kept eating.

"Silly, it's a pika berry." I laugh at Melody but then fall over and the berry flies off and lands in one of the humans' stew. "Uh, oh, I say as he chomps down on the berry and then swallows it with a puzzled expression on his face.

[Alana]

*sweat bead* "Oh dear." Said Sky watching as the human ate the Pika Berry. "UH, should we warn them?" She hurried over to the tame Pikachu and began speaking hurridly to it. Pikachu jumped and started running in circles. "Oh maybe I shouldn't have told him."

[EmeraldSky]

Luckily, the Pikachu's owner spat out the Pika Berry before it could take effect. "He spat it out!" I assured the others. "probably tastes nasty to humans..

[Dream Illusionist]

"hufff... I'm relieved..."-said Melody
"Anyways, Red Ear, what effect would it have on him? Kill him?"
Melody was intrigued about the effects and whereabouts of the strange berry. How come it smelled and tasted niceto some pokémlon and others not? All pokémon love berries...
"Oh well, didn't yo guys have a mission to do?"

[pokefan89]

"All it would do is turn em into a pikachu like me and Sky. And Saria, it does taste good to humans. I know that firsthand. I mean, don't ya remember when I came to Chipper Woods?" I ran over to the humans and snatched the berry, then I began to talk human, "Hey, what's ya'lls names?"

[Dream Illusionist]

"Oh, that's a weird berry!"- Said Melody
Melody looked at the human, and was eager to know if something had happened, and, to her unsatisfaction, nothing happened.
"Anyways, would you mind if I tagged along with you, in your mission?"

"Sure, you can come." I smiled. "You could lull any guards we pass to sleep!"

"That's not nice, you know?" said Melody, angrily
"Anyways, where should we go next? Where are these gems?"

[EmeraldSky]

"I heard the human with the hat say that one of them was in Midori City." I explained. "Anyone know where that is?"

OOC: If someone could enighten me on the cities of this region, it would be appriciated.

OOC: really, I'm the only one qualified for that, and I'm sorry, but I should have a map up soon. Anyway, there are only a few cities near the Uncharted Region: Pikachu Village, Areolious, Midori, and Cyclos Town. But only worry about Midori and Areolious right now.

Oh, and I talked to the humans, remember? I want something from them. They are not statues.

And no IC this time.

Sky blinked at Red Ear. "Oh yeah. I remember when you first came." She ran up and stood beside him looking at the confused humans. Finally the female replied that she was May. The youngest said he was Max. The second oldest male said he was Ash. ANd the oldest said he was Brock. Sky repeated these names in Pikachu language. "May, Max, Ash, and Brock. Nice names. So you're May." She said looking up at the female happily.

"Don't you think human names are odd, Sky? I think they're completely weird...."-Said Melody, while looking at the humans.
"And I also think that that thing that the female human is using on her head looks ridiculous..."
She then pointed to the direction of a road behind the trainers.
"Maybe that roads leads to that city you were mensioning before?"

"I don't. If you remember, when I first came to Chipper Woods I was still using my human name." I turned towards the May and Max and said, "My name is Thunder, but you can call me Red Ear. Oh, and they're Melody, Saria, Silver, and Sky." I said, pointing to each of them in turn. "Oh, yeah," I said turning back towards my friends, "I just remembered that that road does go to Midori, which is to say, north."

"What!!"-Said Melody surprised.
"You were human?! Then what happened?!"-Asked Melody

She was really surprised.

[Alana]

Sky shrugged and looked at May with her head tilted. "Well human names are a bit odd. It seems strange that the names have nothing to do with each human. I am Sky because of my eyes and my wish to fly. Melody you're Melody because you sing right. You can see why each Pokemon was given the name they have." She shrugged again and looked north. "So when should we move on?"

"How about one more song before you guys leave?" Ash suggested, With that, he lifted his fiddle to his chin once again and started a catchy song. Brock quickly joined in on guitar, and May danced again, her shoes making a rhythmic thumping sound against the soft earth.

"Dance with me!" I felt Max sweep me into his arms as he too joined in the dancing. The world became a whirlwind of sound and color as I was spun about...

"Nice!"-said Melody-"I'll sing then..."
Melody rose up her mike, and before anyone could stop her, she started to sing.

[Alana]

"Ah Mel-od-y." Sky's eyes felt heavy and soon she was having trouble keeping them open. May had already fallen asleep. Sky fell next to her and her breathing slowed to that of sleep. "Night night." She muttered.

I hit the ground with a thud as Max succumbed to the soothing melody. However, Ash and Brock were still playing their instruments, albeit in their sleep.

"That must be an easy song if they can play it in their sleep." I commented as I shook some dirt off my bulb.

Just before Melody started to sing I put a berry that cures sleep into my mouth and so didn't go to sleep. "Melody, you know that your song puts people to sleep." I took a deep breath then said, "And yes, I was human. I was turned into a pikachu by pikaberry."

Silver sat near everyone, watching and eating various berries and stolen human food. He was about to get up and walk away when a familiar voice made his ears perk up. "Alright, remember what we're looking for? An Eevee. You'll know you found it if it uses Iron Defense. Now get out there and CATCH THAT EEVEE!" Silver gulped and looked around cautiously. Quentin was here.

"Well, with all the music... I just couldn't help it!"-said Melody, starting to cry (again)
She cried so loudly that everyone looked back, and noticed a stranger behind them.

[EmeraldSky]

"Ash!" I yelled, jolting Ash awake!

"Mrrrgh...what?" Ash yawned as he groggily set his instrument aside and wiped the sleep from his eyes.

"There's an intruder in the camp!" I yelled. "He wants to catch Silver!"

Melody inflated as she heard Saria saying that.
"No-one hurts my friends and gets away with it!"
She then ran to the stranger and slammed him, then when he was on the ground, she started Doubleslapping him
"Take this! Take that!"-shouted Melody
She was completely mad.

"Hah!" I cried, whipping a vine into the human's face. The force of my shot sent him tumbling into the grass.

"Someone cover for me while I charge for Hidden Power!" I cried. Master Firegill had taught me how to use the Hidden Power attack last year, so I could defend myself from Flying Pokemon. The only problem was it needed time to charge, so if I was hit, I would have to start charging all over again. Judging from how quickly the Scyther was approaching us, it didn't look like I would have very much time...

"Don't worry, I will." I fire off a thunder bolt then begin to build up a sheet of electricity around me.

[Alana]

Sky jumped up when she heard all the comotion and growled. Beside her a grogy May was also waking up. Sky charged the intruder and unleashed a Psychic attack. "Take that!....Wait why am I defending Silver?" She sat down and thought about this for a minute then shrugged and used Thunder Bolt.

[EmeraldSky]

As the others charged to battle I just focused on charging the Hidden Power attack. But deep down, I was worried the attack would be something OTHER than Ice, Fire, Wind, or Thunder--four types that would take a Scyther down.

Finally, I saw my bulb glow, a sign that the attack was ready! "Hut!" I cried as I hurled a fireball at the Scyther...

OOC: Have we seen Hidden Power used in the anime before? I've always felt that the type should change with every use.

OOC: I guess it could work, seeing as noone knows why it works like it does...

"Come here, little Eevee...I won't hurt you...alot..." Silver climbed a tree and scouted the area. There were trainers as far as the eye could see, and only one was sitting back, enjoying the fresh air.
Silver raced from tree branch to tree branch until he got directly overhead the leader. When he tried to get a better look, the tree branch snapped and Silver landed right on Quentin's head. Moments later, a Pokeball was thrown and a Steelix appeared.
<THIS is why I don't get out of the house more often...>

"Oh!!"-Melody stepped back has an enormous pokémon appeared.
She started trembling when...
"Guys, plug your ears!"-she shouted.
Then Melody started singing a soothing melody

"Thanks, Melody..." I sighed as I charged another attack...but this time, I wanted it to be Fire, something that would bring down the giant Steelix. Thankfully, I had eaten a Mint Berry beforehand, so I was not affected by Melody's song.

Finally, my bulb glowed red, a sign that my Hidden Power attack was ready.

I'll never forget the look on the Steelix's face when he saw me shooting flames from my bulb...

[Alana]

Sky danced around happily with her fingures in her ears. "Yay I think we won!" She shouted gleefully. May was doing the same with her fingures in her ears.

"Great job guys." She said happily.

"And don't return, you evil people!"-shouted Melody.
"Anyways... I thought we had a mission to do? Could you please give me more information?"

[NiNGi's Worst Nightmare]

After a Shadow Ball and Iron Tail, Quentin ran for his worthless little life. Silver walked back over to the others and fell on his side on the grass. "So...cool...Please, go on. What was this 'mission', anyway?"

[EmeraldSky]

"Well...I heard some guy talking about some kind of amber in Midori City..." Ash started...I believe it was called the Lightning Amber."

"Team Royale also stole the other three stones that guarded these woods..." Max started, but I quickly cut him off. "And we're going to get them back!

[Alana]

Sky nodded. "Yeah they're the ones we need. The ones we wre sent to retreive. We have to find them. Let's get the Thunder Gem back first cause I think it's closest. I wish we hadn't wasted so much time. I feel like we're neglecting our duty."

[Dream Illusionist]

"Okay then, let's go!"-said Melody, almost sounding like a leader.
Melody ten started rolling in the direction of Midori City

"Bye everyone! And thanks!" I waved goodbye to Ash and his friends as we raaced off into the night. As we hurried through the brush, I heard the fiddle playing one last time before its rollicking melody faded into the night...

Melody then stopped.
"Did you guys hear that? It looks like... AH!"
Suddenly, 2 trainers hads appeared.
"You frightened me! That's not nice to do to a lady!"
Melody then slapped the trainers, just enough for them to launch two pokémons:

"What tha..." I looked at the trainers carefully and then said, "Don't worry, guys, These are friends of mine." I look at them again and say, "Hey, Ashley, hey Sammy, what are you two doing here? And what's with the pokemon, Sammy? I thought you didn't have any on account of you being a pokemon yourself."

"Hum, I still don't trust them, though..."-said Melody, not very trusty of Red Ear's words.
Then, sho whispered at the rest of the gang:
"Do you think we can trust him? He was a human, after all.."

[Alana]

"Don't be silly." Whispering back. "I've known Red Ear since he became a Pikachu. Hes' trustworthy. Besides not all humans are bad. Think about May and the others." She didn't voice the fact that she now half hoped ot have a trainer someday. The thought of traveling the world with friends and batlting and meeting new people. It seemed like it would be awesome.

[Dream Illusionist]

"You're right, silly me!"-said Melody
"Oh, but wait. I know humans can become Pikachus if eating a pika Berry, but how can Pokémon become humans? A Huma berry?"

[Alana]

"Uhh, I have absolutly no idea." Said Sky grinning. She shrugged and walked up to the humans. She looked at Red Ear and asked, "So how did a Pokemon become human? Melody asked and I'm curious too."

[Dream Illusionist]

"Yeah! tell us! I want to know;) !"-said Melody
She then started jumping with excitement and accidentaly, with an high jump, she hitted a branch, and fainted.

[Alana]

(sweat bead) "that wasn't very smart." Said Sky shaking her head. Her cheeks sparked and she sent a jolt of electricity to revive Melody. "I hope she doesn't take that personaly. I don't feel like taking a nap right now."

[Dream Illusionist]

"UUHHHHH!"
"Huff! Thanks, but that was TOO MUCH ELECTRICITY!"-shouted Melody
"Well, now that I'm awake, I feel like singing...

[Alana]

"No please don't. Sorry. Sorry about the electricity. really. I' won't use that much again honest." Said Sky quickly while presisng her ears flat. "It's not that I don't like your singing I just, don't wan tot go to sleep."

[NiNGi's Worst Nightmare]

"Electricity and singing..." Silver shook his head and grinned. "Like mixing oil and milk...Mmmmm...milk..." Silver began to drool, but got slapped in the head by a long, rock-hard tail. When he recovered, there was an Onix curled up close by a cave.

"Oh! I'm sorry, Mr. Onix." I whispered, blushing a little. "My friends are being a bit rowdy tonight."

"Sorry, MR.Onix.... I know! I could lullaby you to sleep! Then, we could alll go to sleep for tomorrow start early!"
She rose her mike, sang, and everyone fell asleep. Then she also curled up, and fell into a deep sleep.

[Alana]

"Oh....no...." Said Sky as slumped to the ground fast asleep. "Jigglypuff bad for Sky." She murmered in her sleep. She dreamed about their journey then a human with blurred features appeared. She smiled at her and held out a Pokeball. Sky looked from her friends to the human then vanished in a flash of red light. She sat up shaking her head. "I would nenevr really abandon our mission and my friends." She told herself though she wondered if that was still true.

[NiNGi's Worst Nightmare]

"Uh-oh...Must...stay...awake..." Silver tried to wobble away, but the music got the best of him, and he collapsed on his side. After a few seconds, a dream started up.

"THIS is why I don't like to sleep...Everything's all wavy and out of focus..." Silver walks over to a lake and looks in, seeing a purple demon staring back at him.
"Great...THIS dream..." Silver looks at his paws, that are now claws, and sighs.
"Once I wake up, I'm going on a diet of sugar and coffee..."

Melody dreamed abou the journey with her friends. She was really happy. She now had friends.
Melody lived a hard life after her parents died in an accident. She then lived alone until today.
She dreamed of what adventures the gem hunting would give them.

As I slept, my mind turned to thoughts of Ash and his friends...I dreamt I was dancing with Max again, whil Ash and Brock played one rousing song after another...

The sun shined on the group, and Melody woke up.
"Hey guys, time to wake up!"
As she didn't get an answer... she shouted real high.
"WAKE UP!!!!!!!!"

"Hey, I was just beginning to have a dream, Melody." I say crossly while waking up, "and anyway, Sammy did not turn into a human, he assumed that shape when he met me." I look over at Sammy and then say, "Maybe I can get him to show all of you what he's really like. You see, he's a Calcooze.""

"A what?"-asked Melody
"What's a Calcooze? Some type of Ditto?"-she asked.

[Alana]

Sky tilted her head squinting at Sammy. "A Calcooze? Must be a kind of Ditto. Only they can transform and change their shape right?"

"A calcooze is a flying and psychic pokemon. And Ditto isn't the only one who transform, and Calcooze does it better."

[Alana]

"Cool. Can he transform adn show us what he really looks like?" Asked Sky excitedly bouncing from one foot to the other. She wagged her tail and twitched her ears her blue eyes shining happily. She wasn't sure why she was so happy. It must have been Melody's song. After all the song of Jigglypuff is supposed to make you happy.

[NiNGi's Worst Nightmare]

"Dittos look like jelly. Mmmmmm...jelly..." One of the Onix's eyes opened, and it looked around for the source of the food talk. <Silver, if you talk about food one more time, I'll give you to an Ursaring that just loves to eat Eevee gumbo.>
Silver shut up and sat in an upright position. "Yes, sir!" He saluted and listened to everyone else.

"Well, I don't know, how about it, Sammy?"

"Alright, I will." Sammy says, rolling his eyes. Suddenly his arms transform into two long wings, his legs meld into a short tail and his body turns into that of a flying pokemon, complete with red diamonds on his back and a blue color to his skin.

"Oooooooh! I never saw that Pokémon before...."- said Melody, while blinking her eyes, asking herself if this was a dream.

She then slapped herself to make sure. *SLAP* Nope, this wasn't a dream.

I could not resist gawking at the wonderous creature Sammy had transformed into. It looked both beautiful and scary all at the same time.

"You think you could fly us to Midori City?" I asked. "It would sure be faster than walking."

[Alana]

"Cool." Said Sky happily. She tilted her head from side to side then walked up to hm and started circling him curiously. "You are a cool Pokemon. You can fly and transform. So can you fly ud where we need to go?"

"Where are we going? Am I gonna be a carry-on item, or do I go with the rest of the luggage? Will there be food?" Silver shook his head and snapped out of his hungry state of mind. "When are we leaving?"

"Oh no, I will definitly will not be carried by any flying creature. No way...!"-said Melody, in a panic tone.
She was afraid of flying because of an accident she had.

[NiNGi's Worst Nightmare]

"Let me guess...You had an accident with a Flying-type Pokemon when you were younger, and now you hate being off of the ground?" Silver frowned and pawed the dirt slowly. "Me too...I fell off of a Skarmory and landed in a Venusaur's plant. It broke my fall, but I broke some of it's leaves..."

[Alana]

"And let me guess. It wasn't to happy with you was it?" Said Sky. "Well I love to fly. A flying type friend of mine used to take me flying alot when I was younger. But then she was captured by a trainer. You might remember her. Her name was Soria. She was a Pidgeotto. It's where I got my love of flying and I always hope to some day become powerful enough to fly like Soria could." Sky got a dreamy look in her eyes. "My parents said they knew that I would dream of the sky and my eyes were the color of the sky. Hence my name."

"Awwwwwww... Sweet!"-said Melody
"that akes me so eager to sing..."-The others plugged their ears and she sees them-"...but I won't, don't worry! Well, but anyways, I'm NOT flying!"

"Well, I'll walk with Melody. I've flown on Sammy before." I watch as the others climb onto Sammy's back and then I turn back to Melody. "Just don't sing, kay."

"NO! NO! NO! I will not fly!"-she shouted.
She started stomping the ground, like sying, I'm not leaving from here.

"Melody, we never said anything about you flying."

She was terrified of just thinking of flying even if it wasn't her.
"O-okay, but.... what if they get hurt?... That is really d-d-dangerous..."
"Well... let's g-go then. See you g-guys later (I hope)!"

"Don't worry." Said Sky as Sammy lifted into the air. "If any thing happenes I can use my power to take us safely to the ground. It'll leave me drained though." She smiled and waved to Melody and Tyler.

I carefully eased myself aboard the magnificent creature. "I'm ready to go when you are." I assured everyone.

"See you guys later then"-said Melody, still a little uncertain...
Then, she and Red Ear started walking in the direction of Midori.
"Hey, Red Ear... What's your story? I'm probably the only one who didn't hear about it..."

"Enjoy the flight, everyone." Sammy says telepathicly as he rises into the air.

"Why not, Melody?" I walk a little bit ahead of Melody and then say, "I used to be a human, but one day I ate a pika berry and became a pikachu." I pause for a second then continue,"I traveled around Kojen after that, getting gym badges and catching more pokemon. And I fought Team Royal and Team Liberation. I also got to know my pokemon a lot better and after I beat the Kojen League I went to Chipper Woods, which is where I live now. I,I didn't want to live in a city or town anymore." I look up at the sky with tears in my eyes. "But I miss my brother a lot." I whispered.

[Dream Illusionist]

"Oh...Well, I miss my family a lot, too..."-said Melody
"What were your pokémon, Red Ear?"
She wanted to change topic, she didn't want to talk about family.

"I had a Pidgeot, an Eevee, a Crosstie, a Blaziken, a Sceptile, and a Pikachu." I look around me and then say, "So, why are you alone, Melody?"

He had touched that topic again. Very well, it was no secret.
"Well, my family and friends...died...in an accident... Don't know what happened, I only now that when morning came, they had vanished... and it were no trainers, so I don't know..."

She was eager to arrive...

"I heard from a very good source that there's a very nice marketplace there..." I interjected...

"Midori is huge, and there are a lot of humans there." I look around me "In fact, Midori is the second largest city in Kojen."

"Really? I hope none of them tries to hurt us..."-she said
She was a little frightned. She didn't want to be captured...

"Don't worry. The people there are really nice." I look towards the sky then admit, "At least, most of them are," I say, thinking of my old enemy Joshua.

"I hope you're right..."

she then started talking about things she experienced in the past, and asking Red Ear for his... It was an enjoyous talk.
