Alright. Here's how it works.

Example: ICAJCML = Kecleon.

I->K
C->E
A->C
J->L
C->E
M->O
L->N

Code is 2 letters after each coded letter. You must give correct answer and explanation.

Okay. I'll start. Point value is 10.
If you get it right on 1st day, 10.
2nd day, 5 (or 1/2 of 10)
3rd day, 3 (or 1/2 of 1/2 of 10, rounded up)
And If I stump you for 3 days, I get 1/2 the value, or 5.

Code 1 of 10:
YYVENZ

I've never been good with cryptograms...

.........

Don't make me use Blizzard on you...

.........

^^ no that's wrong. Hint: Think Pikachu's Vacation...
ok. you know how I coded Kecleon, right? Now I've coded another Pokemon's name. You have to figure out which one I coded this time. This one's hard. Trust me, you'll be lucky to get this on the 3rd day. Day one clue: Think Pikachu's Vacation.

IceKitten

But there isn't a Pokémon that begins with WW or AA:surprised

Blizzard

Hint: Don't think forward so much. Go back a step or two...

IceKitten

I don't understand, u said it was 2 letters after the coded letter, thus making YY....AA, explain plz

Blizzard
December 28th, 2003, 01:04 AM
The code is different each time. I'm sorry... should've mentioned that earlier. I'm sorry. I'll give you a hint: You have to reverse the letters to have any shot of solving this code.

IceKitten
December 28th, 2003, 01:29 AM
Reverse like A is Z? So Y would be B?

Blizzard
December 28th, 2003, 01:47 AM
No no... I mean reverse the ORDER. Like ZDJFG would become GFJDZ.

IceKitten
December 28th, 2003, 02:26 AM
But ZNEVYY doesn't make sense

Blizzard
December 28th, 2003, 02:45 AM
That's the point. You have to figure out what to do to each letter of ZNEVYY to make sense of it. For example: Set each letter back or forward 13 would make Marill. Get it?

IceKitten
December 28th, 2003, 02:02 PM
Oh I get it now, so have 2 reverse them first, or is it sometimes a trick?

do me another one

Blizzard
December 28th, 2003, 07:00 PM
Yes... sometimes I'll trick you by scrambling the letters, reversing them, or even omitting some letters.

Here's the real code 1 of 10.

JYZKDZLM

IceKitten

Is it Alakazam?

*brain explodes*

Blizzard

.....

.....
Yes. But give me the explanation.

IceKitten

I listed all the Pokemon down that have 8 letters, crossed all the ones off that don't have 2 letters the same, crossed all the ones off that have double 2 letters (eg. ee and ll [Beedrill]), then some more crap that I can't remember which then my brain exploded.

Blizzard
December 29th, 2003, 09:23 PM
That works for me...

Tig 5

Code 2 of 10:
ZYTLZQHKK
BAVNBSJMM

Worth 3 Points

IceKitten

Blizzard
December 29th, 2003, 11:15 PM
No... just one. ^^ Though if you can find 2 Pokemon for the code I might give you bonus.

I have no clue ^^

Anyway... since i abandoned the game for a while, here's a hint for free: You need to read between the lines. Just think vertically and between.

IceKitten

Hmm...think between the lines........
