Pokémon Dark Future is a hack of Ruby. The story is a little twist-off of Pokémon Ruby/Sapphire.
In a few months a Pokémon Tournament will start in East-Najio, on Alto Mareno Isle. Your brother, Gymleader Tom, is on it's way to that Tournament and asks you to join him. But without training you'll have no change, course.
Your mission: beat all Najio's gymleaders!
You have to travel to all areas of Najio, to North-, East-, West and South-Najio. All diverent areas with their own weather condition.

Somewhere in the dark, lurking from the shadows,..... how's there? You are on your own now!

Some areas are only reachable by taking a boat trip. Almost all areas in Najio are open from the beginning.
So remember: Seek out for harbors!

The game is almost finished, though I still need some script work done...

I'm still searching for a second scripter how what's to join DFI.

Looks Promising, very promising. I can clearly see that this hack is a level above the other noob hacks out there. So All the best pal. As EVA said, try changing the male and female trainer sprite, the overworld sprite is pretty good.

First: The fans of Pokémon Dark Future can stop asking about a beta version.
In fact, there've already been released 2 beta's a few weeks ago.
(Sorry P.C. but the server is down,...)
But why don't you just open a new server, you may ask?

Because in the end of August, Pokémon Dark Future will be fully released!

Well you guys, I was working a lot on mt new hack lately, so I didn't have much time to work on Dark Future.

But, today I'm giving the first copy of the first Pokémon Dark Future Beta Version.

Still, there's a lot to be worked on, so the story is till Gymleader 5: Tom.
If you find any glitches, pointers or not-working-events, please let me know.

I found a couple of glitches:

1. On the first road(belove the lab) there is grass in wich you can't walk.
2. And after I defeat the first pokemon of the first gym leader the game restarts.

Hmm.. The same thing happens to me. I use a VBA 2.0, and its not when the pokemon is KOed, its when the Lapras starts to use an attack(roeland's lapras.) Any suggestions to get past?

The demo is pretty good, but there's one thing that seems to be wrong, when I battle the first gym leader seal attacks with rock tomb and lapras trys to use a move called enter, what does this ''enter'' do?
*EDIT* Nevermind I just found out what it does, when enter hits you the game restarts, now that's a nasty move.

Dark E, you may want to fix some of those cave doors that are not normally accessable through normal gameplay :P. thats how i got to there.

I already told you guys not to use a IPS Patch, cause Dark Future is bigger than a normal Ruby ROM which damages the ROM.

Soon most of the bugs will be fixed and a new version of Dark Future will come out!

I already told you guys, do NOT let your TIALGRA evolve into TYGARAN, cause there's a problem with his backsprite.
It has been fixed in Version 3, coming soon.

okay on the first one(since I have to restart I want to atleast make sure the other 2 starters are safe to fully evolve, so is the grass one safe to fully evolve?), and aout the second that was a typo I meant 2 badges ^^;;

Indeed, the game crashes because the last evolution of the WATER starter: Tigrub and the FIRE starter: ECEPRI aren't programmed in an empty space of the rom.
There's a little problem with the back sprites of these Pokémon.

Hey, this game is great, but I'm in the first city and I just got the Good Rod. I'm pretty sure it shouldn't be there, as I just went fishing and a level 30 Corphish is now facing my level 13 Leguda. XD

Edit: And I'm facing a Roselia called Fyureon. Is it a nickname to confuse players, or a fake that didn't work?

@ P/Arts. Yeah, I saw that too. I was exploring the game with AM, and I ran across it. It was pretty cool. I didnt know that you could walk to it... I had to use the walk thru walls code. There are a few cool doors that you can go through. Like the stadium one.

Im not sure if this had been said already but theres a bit just after the cooltrainer with the graveler and stuff where I was able to walk through some of the trees and another bit where everything except for my hair disappears. Other than that you're game is Great. :D)

i'll take care of this question. Lkr721993 & zspot9 did you downlad it from Dark_E's sig? then all you do is open up a emulator and then chose the dark future.zip file. Dark Future is a hack of ruby, however it is bigger then the normal ruby ROM, so, the reason the DarkFuture is not a .ips but a .gba is because a IPS patch could damage the orinagel(SP?) ROM and DarkFuture itself. but if you downloaded the .ips patch from one of the pages, delete it and download from Dark_E's sig.

What emulator are you using, some emulators can't run hacks. Get visualboy advance 1.7 i can't provide the link because it is related to roms.

Great Job! Everything looks really good...I've seen some pretty amateur new pokemon sprites, but the new starters look GREAT! I like the variety of wild pokemon, the town layouts...good attention to detail. Keep it up!

Uum...I think I've found a small glitch wit hthe game, but I don't know if it's my visualboy being stupid.
In Pokémon battles, the HP of my pokémon starts at 999 each time, and it takes a long time to have it reach back to normal. Because of this...my pokémon don't faint either.
