Evolutionary change in Iggy art (please look ^_^)

I know I have 2 threads at them moment, but I keep get all these new things happening at the moment. If a staff member (within the power to do so) wants to merge them, feel free.

Anyways I was drawing this pic on paper, and it was looking ok, and i thought I wish i could transfer it somehow onto comp and make it look smoother and nicer.Then I thought, I should be able to draw it anyways, though its different anime from anything I've done before. I worked on it and this is what happened. I wanted it to have the feel of all those beautiful pics I've see, but I had real difficulties choosing a background.... i still have no idea whether it's right. Anyways please tell me what u think as it's a new type of drawing style that I've always wanted to try but was too afraid to do so. This pic is actually based on a photo of my friend, I don;t know what she'll say when she finds out :S

Thank you all so much, I may have to draw the other participant in that photo as well. I realise her eye is big, but thats part of the style, also her head looks big due to all the hair, again puposely done as its the style, but TY fot those. lol Short dress I know, but look at the photo, her dress was short! I'm standing really weird in that pic, but I definatly think that Chikorita is next (lol the nickname I give to the other girl, the one I've already drawn is called Mew, reason for that being in my sig). The girl which I've already drawn looks slighty different from the pic, but again purposely done.

i really like it looks a lot like the real thing. seems to me that you forgot to put the eye before the hair, so the hair covered the face where the eye should be and and the eye went over the hair

I likeit. Her eyes is hte thing i likethe most. As for the eyes being over the hair i have seen that in anime. Where you kno wthe eye would ber covered but it is there. I like it and the dress is realy nice to.

I'm glad someone knows the style I'm aiming for, I have a friend who does absoutley amazing types of things kinda thing, and both she and her twin sis own a site which has won an award because the anime they've drawn is so good. It really is an amazing site, but its that kinda idea i was going for (won't put up any information just incase she doesn't want it up). I'm pleased that people have put so much thought into it and have looked that hard to notice such small things as the hair behind the eye. :) lol even if it is meant to be like that. Thanks again for all the great comments, though I would love to start on a new one right now, the chance for the next one going up soon look slim as I have 5 major exams coming up and they don't finish till 22nd of January so I guess this is the last bit of my art you'll see (except if you've noticed my av change) that'll you'll see till the ema period is over. I hope though after that that I can create my next one of this kinda thing and hopefully it will be better than this. Thanks again for the comments I really appreciate them.

lol I know it's a double post, but this thread has been out of use till I've out this new piece up. I have no idea why I drew this. I didn't even draw it intentionally. I was revising and the next minute i knew i had this fully drawn line drawing. The next day I did it again and it was coloured and then again I drew the background. It stopped after that, but it was really weird. I have no idea how on earth or why I did this pic. Anyways I'll put it up, though it scares me a bit:S
