I'm don't really use Shedinja. I do know that this might happen:

Note:There were not Shedinjas' harmed in the making of this post, lol! XP

Opponent sent out Shedinja
Mullet sent out T-tar.
T-tars' Sand Stream whipped up a sand storm.
Shedinja was buffeted by the sand storm.
Shedinja fainted!
Mullet:gg

I'll try though.

Shedinja@Quick Claw (?)
EVs:252 Attack, 252 Speed, 6 def
Nature:Adamant
Swords Dance
Aerial Ace/Shadow Ball
Toxic/Baton Pass
Protect

Poor Shedinja!:P

Mwar, if they could learn Safeguard, they'd be useful. But since they can't…
I'm not sure of an effective moveset, as they can be taken out by prectically ANYTHING >_>, but I like to give them Sunny Day [to *hopefully* counter a, mwar, Sandstorm or Hail], and then go forth with Solarbeam. Protect can be useful to see if yar opponent's Pokémon has any moves that can damage it.

It really works best in conjunction with an Air Locker or Cloud Niner, because then ya can negate one of the more deadly anti-Shedinja strategies. Good if that weather negater also has Safeguard, just hope it doesn't go down.

Oh, mwar, a Lum Berry will cure it of poisoning or a Burn once, and that may give ya just the edge ya need.

Lum is probably standard, to protect from Burn, Poison & Toxic. Protect is usually on there somewhere to see what your going to be attacked with. I really wish it could learn Pain Split. Knock off half your enemy's HP in one go. But he really is a 2v2 pokemon. Even then he's susceptable to Rock Slide and Heat Wave. His movepool isnt too great either. :/

Shedinja @ Lum

~Protect
~Agility/Swords Dance/Toxic
~HP Bug/Silver Wind/Slash
~Shadow Ball

God knows.

A new weather condition stops the old one. You send out Shedinja, and use Sunny Day, I send in Big-T, he whips up a sand stream and kills it. Boahtar can kill it with Crunch too. :D

too bad boah carries crunch

making a team around sheddy is fun though.

Spinner - To Get rid of spikes
Weather Changer - To get rid of sandstorm
Physical Wall - To take hits that would have K.O.ed sheddy
Special Spong - To take hits that would have K.O.ed sheddy
Sweeper - To get rid of stuff that could kill sheddy
Sheddy - LoL

I meant ingame.I don't know what my Shedinja's Hidden Power is.

Ingame or not, T-tar still has Sand Stream, and he can still learn Crunch.

Oh, mwar, ingame. Shedinja are all but worthless ingame. Every gym leader can take it out. Yes, even Wattson [and undoutbfully, Wallace's Milotic has something that can hurt it aswell]. If I have Sheddy on my team, it's always gone around the time before I battle Norman, when I, mwar, do my desert training.

One upside of the little ghost/bug that couldnt tho is that theres a few ubers that get screwed over by him if they are using standard MSs.

It doesn't really matter. Almost everyone uses T-tar, he's mega-OU!:\

I hate to tell you but as soon as Ttar comes out SS starts. Killing it wont save Shedinja.

Mullet

The only hope you can have against Boah, is get a Sunny Day up before the sand storm hits you. Or, you could put up a crap load of Protects, and hope he doesn't own you when it fails, lol! As long as T-tar has at least 157 Speed EVs he out speeds a Shedinja with 252 Speed EVs with a plus Speed nature. To out speed yours he only needs 88 Speed EVs.:D

Ingame.Ruby/Sapphire ingame.I might use it in Leafgreen.I wouldn't dare use it in
Netbattle.I have taken out a lot of Pokes in Battle Tower with Shedinja.
Would this set work?

SHEDINJA Item:Lax Incense

Why do ya people put Defence EV's on Shedinja? He has just 1 HP anyway...

Shedinja @ Lum Berry
EVs: Max Atk, Max Speed. All others ZERO... =P
-Shadow Ball
-Silver Wind
-Swords Dance
-Baton Pass

Mullet

Just because we can. Any weather condition kills it, or anything super effective, people use T-tar ingame too you know. He's not that great anyway.

Porygon, Shedinja's strength does not lie in Sunnybeaming, and why do you use him when you train in the desert?

>_>

For Shedinja, in game I think he is awesome, a combination of Ninjask and Shedinja DEVASTATE the Battle tower ;)

Protect/Swords Dance/Shadow Ball/Silver Wind or HP Bug.

Works well against things that don't resist.

skrew protect, if u r good u should predict what they using anyways:
shedinja: lum
252 evs speed
252 evs attack
4 evs sp attack (well just as a hint to remind that shedinja only as a lil less sp attack as a base than attack, plus nothing else will make a difference)
agility
sdance
sball
swind/hp bug

also lum stops confusion, but not sure about attract.

off topic: can u snatch a mean look?

my 2v2 shedinja
protect, mimic, sdance, return *1st turn protect, and have proygon twave opponent going after shedinja, 2nd turn shedinja mimic's porygon's conversion 8hope for pokemon going after shedinja to be paraylzed otherwise they will kill u unless its s stats thing w/ lum berry to save u, and 3rd turn u conversion into a normal type (*since all moves on shedinja r normal, its 100% guaranteed*) mimic conversion.
this way: shedinja is normal, and gains stab off return, and instead of 5 weaknesses, it only has 1 *fighting, and if ur opponents didnt notice that u r normal, they will still think u r immune 2 fighting!* (alot of ppl dont read what happens after the turn/cannot b/c it goes by fast, ie: dont read/see when salac berry activate and get surprised ur faster)

or a less risky way is to have smeargle (instead of porygon) endure the first turn of the 2v2 battle, activate salac, while shedinja uses protect, then spore the opponent going after shedinja... hopefully either the opponent's other pokemon will not kill smeargle the turn it spores the enemy... otherwise u can still use proygon 2

You spelled screw wrong.

He really does better with protect, Shadow Ball kills him too, and Lax has got that. Which is another OU.

Lion Heart
April 3rd, 2005, 02:33 AM
I think Shedinja needs Protect, you never know what set the opponent is running, remember, not everyone uses standards, most of us here are creating our own sets.

Mullet
April 3rd, 2005, 03:08 AM
Since when did the poke have to have the standard set to be considered OU?

husk1442
April 3rd, 2005, 03:14 AM
The over used pokes have over used sets too ya know

Mullet
April 3rd, 2005, 03:20 AM
True, but just because they have a different set doesn't change the fact that the're OU. Plus people on PC arn't the only ones who play NB (countering LH's comment about, we make up our own sets here).:\
