I know how to catch mew!! I've tried it. It works!!

[ilovepikachu!!!!]

Note: Do NOT battle the gambler facing north in front of the underground path on route 8. Do NOT battle the youngster facing north on nugget bridge. You MUST have a pokemon with the move FLY.

1. Stand in front of the door of the underground path on route 8. SAVE.

2. Go one step down. IMEDIATLY press start. If you succeed, the menu will pop up before the gambler sees you. Fly to Cerulean City. The gambler should see you while you start to fly off. After this the start, a, and b buttons will not function for a while.

3. Go onto nugget bridge and go to the youngster described above. DO NOT walk up to him.(If you do, will mess up the process)After you defeat him the start, a, and b buttons will work.

4. Fly to Lavender Town. Walk onto route 8. Someone will say: "I was better at school than this" or something. Then Mew Appears!!(he's only lvl 7) :laugh:

I was just saying that I have heard hundreds of ways to "catch mew" and it just did not seem like Nintendo would go to such legnths that people could catch Mew, I mean it is hidden really well. Anyway, I was not saying it WAS fake, just I thought it seemed un-likely(and while I'm here is there supposed to be a hyphon?)

Yes, that explains it better and it does seem like a popular method, but isn't the S.S.Anne method with the truck still popular in some crowds? It just really is unlikely(got it right this time! :classic: )

ANSWERES TO ALL YOUR QUESTIONS:

1: Yes this cheat works. I use it in my GBC Pokemon Blue Version. I caught it....
2: The truck cheat near SS ANN doesn't work... Mew isn't there... nothing is exept a trash can I believe (NOT SURE, LONG AGO. BUT I DO KNOW I DID NOT CATCH MEW)

This has been tested by me so trust me!
If it doesn't work for you then you just have a twisted Game :P
But it DID work for me... the nr 1 that is...

yes it does work on yellow if u modify the cheat as well u can catch differrent pokemon i cought a blastoise

I knew that you can catch Mew.

I DID try this, and it does work! However, this is the only way to get Mew, expect for that event ages ago
